Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 240: Chapter 240: Unexpected Surprise

Ye Anxin smiled sweetly and mysteriously said, ”Uncle, let’s go upstairs! See what I’ve prepared for you!” With that, she took Mu Beiting’s hand and led him upstairs.

Mu Beiting raised an eyebrow, silently following behind her.

Ye Anxin led Mu Beiting all the way back to the room, then covered his eyes and said with a smile, ”Uncle, close your eyes. Without my permission, you’re not allowed to open them, okay?”

”Mm!” Mu Beiting responded softly, his tightly pressed lips slowly curving into a barely noticeable arc.

With his assurance, Ye Anxin finally released her hand with ease! Then she waved her hand in front of Mu Beiting, and when she saw he wasn’t peeking, she walked to the wardrobe, gently opened it, and took out the dark blue scarf from the shopping bag.

Ye Anxin held the scarf up to her nose and sniffed it, then tiptoed quietly to Mu Beiting, stretched open the scarf, and wrapped it around his neck.

Once the scarf was in place, Ye Anxin stepped back, carefully scrutinized him, and then nodded with satisfaction, saying, ”Alright, you can open your eyes now!”

Hearing this, Mu Beiting opened his eyes and looked at his neck. Upon seeing the dark blue scarf, his deep eyes reflected a glittering light.

Ye Anxin asked with anticipation, ”Haha, Uncle, do you like it? This is the gift I bought for you today! Doesn’t it feel warm?”

Mu Beiting said nothing, his thin lips pressed tightly, his calloused hand touching the edge of the scarf.

Seeing his unexpected expression, Ye Anxin walked up, somewhat disappointed, and said, ”What? Don’t you like it, Uncle?”

Mu Beiting still said nothing, his fingers unconsciously tightened around the scarf.

His expression made Ye Anxin bow her head in disappointment, ”Sorry, I should have asked what you like before buying it! But then there wouldn’t be a surprise! I wanted to give you a surprise, Uncle! I know I’ve been unreasonable these past few days, and I shouldn’t have been mad at you! So, I wanted to buy a gift to show my apology! Had I known you didn’t like the scarf, I would have bought something else!”

After a moment of silence, Mu Beiting released the scarf and touched Ye Anxin’s little face, saying deeply, ”No, I like it very much!”

Hearing this, Ye Anxin felt even more downcast, ”You don’t need to comfort me. If you really liked it, you wouldn’t have this expression!”

Mu Beiting’s hand moved from stroking her face to pinching her chin gently, lifting her head slightly.

Ye Anxin blinked and stared blankly at Mu Beiting.

Under Ye Anxin’s gaze, Mu Beiting leaned down, slowly closing the distance until his thin lips touched her soft ones.

”...?” Ye Anxin blinked, completely taken by surprise.

”Thank you!” Mu Beiting’s kiss was very light, unlike the deep kisses of before, merely leaving a proprietary mark.

Ye Anxin blinked and slowly asked, ”You really like it, Uncle?”

Mu Beiting nodded, ”I like it very much! It’s very warm!”

Hearing that, Ye Anxin breathed a huge sigh of relief, ”Phew...! That’s great! I was really scared just now, I thought you didn’t like it, Uncle! I worried for nothing!”

Mu Beiting looked into her eyes attentively and said meaningfully, ”As long as it’s from you, I like it all!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin suddenly felt overjoyed with happiness, ”Since when has my uncle become so good with words? It’s like honey, so sweet!”

”...!” Mu Beiting’s eyes flickered, his thin lips pressed together as he quietly watched her.

Ye Anxin wrapped her arms around Mu Beiting’s neck, tiptoeing to kiss his neck, ”Uncle, your words are so nice, you must say them more often to me! This is our little secret as a couple!”

Mu Beiting watched her face beaming like a flower, leaving another kiss on her forehead.

After a while, Mu Beiting said in a hoarse voice, ”It’s late! Let’s take a bath and go to bed!”

Ye Anxin narrowed her eyes with a sweet smile, ”Alright! Let’s bathe together!”

”Mm!” Mu Beiting nodded, his hand slowly reaching for the scarf, his rough fingers rubbing it before taking it off and hanging it in the wardrobe.

Seeing Mu Beiting’s cherishing look, all the gloom in Ye Anxin’s heart was swept away. She tiptoed, helped Mu Beiting take off his suit jacket, then took off her own coat, and holding Mu Beiting’s hand, they walked into the bathroom together.

After taking a bath, the two lay in bed embraced.

Ye Anxin snuggled in Mu Beiting’s arms, drawing circles on his chest and said tenderly, ”Uncle, I wasn’t just saying angry words yesterday! I really want to go back to school! Xie Yunlu and Mu Rufeng have dropped out now, so no one should harm me anymore!”

Mu Beiting remained silent, his thin lips pressed tightly.

Thinking that he didn’t agree, Ye Anxin coquettishly called out again, ”Uncle!”

After a long silence, Mu Beiting eventually nodded and agreed, ”Okay!”

”That’s great, I can finally go to school!” Seeing Mu Beiting nod and agree, Ye Anxin happily hugged his waist, rubbing her cheek against his chest.

Mu Beiting pressed her restless little head into his arms, saying deeply, ”Sleep!”

”Mm!” Ye Anxin nodded, closed her eyes and soon fell into a deep sleep.

Listening to her steady breathing, Mu Beiting’s gaze deepened, his eyes mysteriously covered with a layer of coldness.

......

With the chance to go back to school, Ye Anxin was like a bird finally released from a cage, full of joy the entire day. After having breakfast with Mu Beiting, she carried her backpack to school.

What puzzled Ye Anxin was that when she walked into the classroom, there were four new students.

Two boys and two girls!

Even more strangely, these four new students were arranged to sit precisely around her!

One in front, one behind, one on each side!

Ling Yueyue also noticed this strange situation when she entered the classroom, quickly walking to Ye Anxin and cheerfully saying to the young man next to her, ”Excuse me, this is my seat!”

The young man frowned, exchanged glances with the other three, and after seeing a subtle nod from one of the girls, he stood and left.

As soon as Ling Yueyue sat down, Ye Anxin leaned over and curiously asked, ”Yueyue, why do I feel these four new classmates are so weird?”

Ling Yueyue nodded vigorously, put her mouth to Ye Anxin’s ear, and whispered, ”Yes! Logically, it’s almost the end of the term, so it shouldn’t be possible for transfer students! Moreover, these four give off a strange feeling, although they look delicate, their eyes lack the innocence of our age!”

Ye Anxin laughed and nonchalantly said, ”Hehe! Who cares, it’s not our business! We just need to focus on our classes!”
