Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 246: Chapter 246: Don’t Have This Child

Ye Anxin turned around and forced a smile, ”It’s nothing! It’s just a normal pregnancy reaction, it’ll get better once this passes!”

Mu Beiting decisively said, ”No, you look awful! If you really can’t bear it, then don’t have this child!”

Amused by his words, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but let out a laugh, ”Uncle, you’re exaggerating! Morning sickness is the most normal reaction during pregnancy! It’s a stage every woman goes through! If we don’t have children just because of this, what about the future? Are we never going to have kids?”

Mu Beiting barely hesitated and directly spat out one word, ”Yes!”

”Then what are we going to do when we’re old? Live as lonely old people? What about Mu’s large enterprise? Who’s going to take over in the future? Uncle, can we be a bit more mature?” As she spoke, she didn’t forget to gently pinch Mu Beiting’s handsome face.

”...!” Mu Beiting pressed his lips tightly and furrowed his brows, his expression unchanged.

Seeing Mu Beiting still looking unhappy, Ye Anxin sighed inwardly and said helplessly, ”If you’re really worried, then let’s go to the hospital for a check-up! Anyway, it’s almost time for a prenatal check-up!”

”Okay!” Mu Beiting nodded and immediately turned around to leave the bathroom to change clothes.

Watching Mu Beiting’s departing back, Ye Anxin shook her head with a smile, then took out her toothbrush, squeezed some toothpaste, and prepared to brush her teeth!

But before the toothpaste even touched her teeth, just smelling the aroma made Ye Anxin start gagging.

Ye Anxin nearly gagged while brushing her teeth!

Finally, she didn’t forget to carefully rinse her mouth with warm water.

Mu Beiting, dressed now, stood at the bathroom door, watching Ye Anxin intently, his brow furrowing deeper and deeper!

Once the two were done washing up, Mu Beiting and Ye Anxin went downstairs for breakfast.

Fortunately, to accommodate Ye Anxin’s appetite, today’s breakfast was just plain congee, without any side dishes.

And this was personally arranged by Mu Beiting.

Ye Anxin also cooperatively ate an entire bowl of plain congee!

This was the first time since the onset of morning sickness that she hadn’t vomited and finished a bowl of congee completely.

Seeing that Mu Beiting also just drank a bowl of congee like her, Ye Anxin said with remorse, ”Uncle, you don’t have to do this! You have to work during the day, how can you just eat plain congee? It has no nutrients! In the future, let the steward prepare side dishes for you!”

Mu Beiting replied lightly, ”No need!”

Hearing this, Ye Anxin’s eyes darkened, ”Uncle, if you keep doing this, I’ll feel guilty!”

Mu Beiting’s eyes flickered, and after a moment, he said just one word, ”Fine!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin immediately smiled, stood up, and reached for Mu Beiting’s hand, ”Alright! Let’s go! After the prenatal examination, Uncle still needs to go to the office!”

”Okay!” Mu Beiting nodded, stood up, held Ye Anxin’s hand, led her out, and got into the waiting business car.

The driver directly drove Mu Beiting and Ye Anxin to the private hospital where Ye Anxin frequently had her check-ups.

The obstetrics and gynecology chief physician continued to examine Ye Anxin.

After a series of examinations, the doctor said, ”The wife’s condition is very good, the child’s development is normal, everything is fine!”

”She’s been vomiting severely!” Mu Beiting frowned, clearly dissatisfied with the doctor’s words.

The doctor explained, ”Morning sickness is a stage all women go through; it’s normal for her to vomit! Generally, this situation will gradually ease as the months pass; right now it’s just a transitional stage!”

Mu Beiting spoke again in a deep voice, ”But she never vomited before!”

If it weren’t for Mu Beiting’s earnest expression, the doctor would have thought he was deliberately trying to make her laugh.

But seeing Mu Beiting’s stern face, she dared not laugh even if she wanted to, and just patiently explained, ”It’s like this, every person’s pregnancy reactions are different! Some start vomiting newly pregnant, even fainting! Some have no reactions initially and start vomiting after three months! Each person has different physical constitutions, thus different pregnancy reactions! Some pregnant women don’t experience morning sickness, instead have a very good appetite, eating anything! The reason the wife didn’t vomit before is just due to her constitution and varying degrees of pregnancy reactions! It’s all normal, you can rest assured!”

”...!” Mu Beiting furrowed his brows in silence.

Ye Anxin quickly chimed in with a smile, ”Uncle, see, the doctor said the same thing as I did! I already said it’s normal! I heard from my mom, when she was pregnant with me, she had a great appetite and never vomited once! And for me, it’s just a different pregnancy response! It’s nothing!”

Mu Beiting was silent for a moment, then suddenly said, ”If we don’t keep this child, will she stop vomiting?”

”Cough, cough...!” Upon hearing this, the doctor actually choked on her own saliva.

Ye Anxin blushed and said displeased, ”Uncle, what are you saying!”

The doctor laughed and reassured, ”Sir, I understand your feelings, you’re just worried about the wife! However, every woman experiences various degrees of pregnancy reactions; the wife’s condition is very normal! If you’re just considering not having this child due to her morning sickness, then what about the future? The wife is still young now, it’s the prime of her youth! This is also the most suitable time to be pregnant! If she waits until she’s older to have children, the pregnancy reactions might be stronger then! By that time, it might not just be morning sickness, but other symptoms! So, I suggest keeping the child! It’s just a matter of months! No one vomits all ten months continuously!”

Ye Anxin quickly said seriously, ”Uncle, did you hear that! I think the doctor makes a lot of sense! This is our child, if he knew you didn’t want him, he’d be hurt!”

Mu Beiting’s eyes flickered, and he asked once more, ”How can we reduce her reactions?”

The doctor patiently explained, ”There’s no way! You can only try to avoid things that make her nauseous! During pregnancy, pregnant women have heightened taste and smell sensitivity. Not only can smells more strongly perceived, even things usually unnoticed become very clear. Taste sensitivity is similar; for instance, with fishy smells! Usually, we use ginger and vinegar in cooking to remove the fishy smell so we don’t taste it! But pregnant women are different, not only can they smell it, they can taste it very clearly! And at such times, fishy smells stimulate their senses, causing morning sickness! So, these are the most normal pregnancy reactions! Once the child is born, everything will return to normal!”
