Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 219: Chapter 218: Ye Anxin Disappears

Taking in Pete’s expression completely, Mu Beiting’s brows furrowed even tighter.

When the person on the other end of the phone finished speaking, Pete finally said, ”Okay, I’ll handle it! You guys step up your search!” With that, he hung up the phone.

Mu Beiting asked sharply, ”What’s going on?”

Pete said gravely, ”Xie Yunlu escaped from prison last night and is currently missing. The police in Jin City searched the whole city all night with no clues! They’re afraid Xie Yunlu might seek revenge on the madam, so they called to notify us to be careful and take precautions! They’re already intensifying their search there!”

Mu Beiting gritted his teeth and squeezed out two words, ”Useless!”

Pete reported truthfully, ”They said Xie Yunlu pretended to be on the verge of death to trick them into taking her to the hospital for treatment! Because the president had said she couldn’t die! The police were afraid she really would die, so they took her there! Unexpectedly, she secretly knocked out the doctor while being examined, changed into the doctor’s clothes, wore a mask, and escaped! By the time they discovered and chased after her, she was already nowhere to be found!”

Mu Beiting’s face instantly turned gloomy.

Noticing his thoughts, Pete quickly comforted him, ”President, fortunately, the madam came with us to Jiangcheng! Given Xie Yunlu’s current situation, she wouldn’t know the madam’s whereabouts! Moreover, the madam has four bodyguards protecting her, nothing will happen!”

Hearing this, Mu Beiting’s brows not only didn’t relax, but tightened even more.

To prevent Mu Beiting from worrying, Pete quickly said, ”I’ll call Assistant Li! Let her take the madam back to the hotel!”

”No need, I’ll call!” Mu Beiting took out his phone from his trousers, found Ye Anxin’s number, and was just about to dial when Pete’s phone rang again in the previous second.

Pete glanced at the caller ID, looked up at Mu Beiting, and whispered, ”President, it’s Assistant Li’s call!”

Mu Beiting grabbed the phone, answered, and held it to his ear without a chance to speak. Assistant Li’s anxious voice came through, ”Assistant Pete, the madam has disappeared!”

As soon as the words fell, Mu Beiting’s roar of anger immediately followed, ”What? What did you say? Repeat it!”

Assistant Li’s ears buzzed from the roar, but she had no time to care, quickly saying, ”The madam got injured accidentally just now, we took her to the hospital to treat the wound! The result... the result is I was ambushed, tricked! When I woke up, the madam had already vanished from the hospital; we searched everywhere there but couldn’t find her!”

Mu Beiting asked in a bad tone, ”Where are you now?”

Assistant Li quickly gave the hospital address, Mu Beiting hung up the phone, dissolved the meeting, and rushed to the destination with Pete.

When they arrived at the destination, it was already half an hour later!

Under Mu Beiting’s order, the driver drove the car directly to the hospital entrance, stopping in front of Assistant Li.

Mu Beiting and Pete got out of the car at the same time, Mu Beiting spoke first, ”A bunch of incompetents, can’t even watch over one person! What the hell happened?”

”An hour and a half ago, I was shopping with the madam. As we were walking, suddenly a robbery occurred, the crowd got chaotic, and the madam and I were separated! When the crowd dispersed, I found the madam, saw her hand was scraped and bleeding, so I took the madam to the hospital to get medicine! Once inside, the doctor said too many people shouldn’t be in the ward for air circulation, leaving just me, with four bodyguards guarding the door outside! The doctor spoke, so we thought there shouldn’t be any problem standing outside, so they all went out! Unexpectedly, while I was focused on the madam, the doctor injected a sedative into me from behind, and then I fell unconscious! I don’t know how the doctor took the madam away! All I know is that when the bodyguard outside couldn’t wait for the madam to come out, they broke in! Unfortunately, aside from me unconscious on the ground, the madam was nowhere to be found! They woke me up, we immediately searched the entire hospital, but didn’t find the madam! We realized the seriousness of the situation, so immediately called Assistant Pete! Now, those four bodyguards are still at the hospital looking for the madam, I’m specifically waiting at the entrance for the president!” Assistant Li explained the entire incident meticulously! Not daring to miss any details during the recount, afraid of missing crucial evidence to find the madam.

After listening to Assistant Li’s account, Pete almost said without hesitation, ”It’s Xie Yunlu, it must be Xie Yunlu! She was wearing a doctor’s outfit when she escaped!”

Mu Beiting gritted his teeth, and clenched his hands into fists.

”Xie Yunlu is now crazy! The madam falling into her hands, who knows how she’ll treat the madam!” Pete said heavily, unwilling to add to the boss’s mental pressure, but the situation had reached this point, the boss had to be mentally prepared!

Mu Beiting said through clenched teeth, ”Find her, mobilize everyone, even if you have to overturn the whole of Jiangcheng, you must find the madam!”

Pete nodded and turned away, ”Yes, I’ll handle it now!”

Assistant Li hung her head in shame, ”President, I’m sorry! I didn’t keep an eye on the madam! I’ll resign after we find her!”

Mu Beiting coldly glanced over her and turned into the hospital.

......

Cold... so cold...!

This is Ye Anxin’s first sensation upon regaining consciousness in the darkness!

It’s obviously not winter, why does she feel so cold, the cold cutting to the bone.

”Ye Anxin... Ye Anxin... Ye Anxin...!” She heard a voice repeatedly calling in her ear.

Ye Anxin slowly opened her heavy eyelids, the darkness so deep, she couldn’t see her hand in front of her face.

As she moved her body slightly, she realized she was drenched, even dripping water! And she was lying on the ice-cold ground!

No wonder she felt so cold just now!

Though it’s not the cold winter now, it’s still quite cold after entering autumn, especially in Jiangcheng, which is colder than other cities near the river.

But wasn’t she in the hospital? How did she end up here?

What on earth happened?

Ye Anxin frowned, scattered fragments slowly piecing together in her mind.

Oh! She remembered! Earlier she injured her hand, and Assistant Li took her to the hospital to clean the wound! Later, a masked female doctor said the ward needed to keep the air circulation, so asked four bodyguards to guard the outside and had Assistant Li stay with her.

Later... While the doctor was cleansing her wound, she suddenly felt her eyelids grow heavy, her head was dizzy, her consciousness gradually blurred.

Then... the doctor said she was going to get the bandages, approaching Assistant Li from behind once she had them!

Ye Anxin didn’t know what the doctor did to Assistant Li, she only knew Assistant Li collapsed onto the ground.
