Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 233: Chapter 233: Losing Her Temper

Ye Anxin, with a runny nose and tears, said, ”Go back, I want to go back to Jin City! I don’t like it here, I’m not happy! I want to go back!”

Mu Beiting was silent for a while before saying, ”I just called Pete, we’ll go back at nine in the morning!”

”Okay!” Ye Anxin nodded, wiping her tears from her face with her hand.

Mu Beiting picked up the towel from the bathtub and dried her tears! Then he naturally and skillfully washed her body.

This time, Ye Anxin didn’t resist, letting Mu Beiting bathe her, dry her, and carry her back to bed.

Ye Anxin lay on the bed, choosing a corner and curling up her body.

Usually, whenever she assumes this position, her self-protection and defense mechanisms kick in.

Mu Beiting got into bed and, without any hesitation, scooped her into his arms, holding her tightly, with his chin resting on her forehead.

Ye Anxin, with her body curled up, didn’t resist, letting him hold her like this.

Just now, just in the bathtub, the moment he held her! She almost couldn’t help but ask about the relationship between Uncle and Ruan Zhitong.

However, just as the words were on the tip of her tongue, she forcibly swallowed them back.

She was afraid, afraid that Uncle would truly admit Ruan Zhitong was his first love, and even more afraid that Uncle still had feelings for her.

She had heard people say that in a man’s lifetime, his heart can only hold one woman!

If this man had once loved a woman deeply, then this woman would remain in his heart for a lifetime! Even if he ends up marrying someone else, that woman can never be replaced in his heart.

So, she was afraid, afraid that Ruan Zhitong was that woman to Uncle!

She dared not speak! Until she got a definite answer, she could at least deceive herself a little longer! Telling herself, it was just her own speculation!

Besides, Ruan Zhitong is now already engaged to Mr. Gu, she and Uncle are impossible forever!

So, why cling to the past?

As long as she’s the one by Uncle’s side now, isn’t that enough?

Ye Anxin closed her eyes, clearly unable to sleep, but lacking the courage to face Mu Beiting.

Mu Beiting held Ye Anxin tightly, his eyes open, staring at a point in the distance, with a deep, dead silence in his eyes.

......

The next day, at precisely nine o’clock, Ye Anxin and Mu Beiting boarded the plane back to Jin City.

Throughout the entire day, Ye Anxin listlessly sprawled across the tray table in front of her seat, staring blankly at the corridor.

Pete, sitting across the aisle from her, immediately noticed something was off with Ye Anxin. He wanted to express concern but didn’t dare! After all, their BOSS was sitting right next to the lady, staring at him sharply!

Frightened by Mu Beiting’s coldness, Pete suddenly realized that even though Ye Anxin was staring at the aisle, from the side it seemed she was staring at him in a trance!

Apparently, their BOSS might have misunderstood something!

To avoid any misunderstanding, Pete stood up and sensibly moved to sit elsewhere.

Ye Anxin remained in her previous position until the plane landed. Only when Mu Beiting nudged her from beside did she snap out of it, sling her backpack over her shoulder, and, like a walking corpse, disembark the plane and walk outside.

Mu Beiting remained silent, closely following her, never leaving her side!

After much hassle, Ye Anxin finally returned to the long-missed home.

Standing at the villa’s entrance, looking at this villa where she’d lived for months, Ye Anxin suddenly felt a wave of bitterness.

Ye Anxin slowly walked to the sofa and sat down, with Mu Beiting following her to sit beside her.

Ye Anxin thought for a moment, hesitated, then suddenly said, ”Uncle, starting tomorrow, I want to return to school!”

Without thinking, Mu Beiting directly refused, ”No way!”

Ye Anxin, with firm determination, said, ”Uncle, I’ve been on leave for a long time. If I stay cooped up at home every day, I’ll rust! Besides, Xie Yunlu has already been caught, no one will hurt me anymore!”

Mu Beiting still responded with the simple and straightforward words, ”No way!”

Ye Anxin calmly replied, ”I’ve already decided, whether you agree or not! My life can’t just revolve around this villa; I must have my own life! Besides, I’m not showing much yet, there’s still time before I need to take another leave!”

Mu Beiting pursed his lips, silently looking at her without speaking.

”I’m tired, want to go upstairs to rest!” Without Mu Beiting saying anything, Ye Anxin assumed he consented, stood up, and left without turning back!

Throughout, she didn’t look at Mu Beiting once.

Mu Beiting’s deep eyes fixed on where Ye Anxin disappeared at the staircase, his thin lips tightly pressed, his eyes carrying a layer of murky, indeterminate light.

Sure enough, the next day at dawn, Ye Anxin got up, tidied herself, changed clothes, grabbed her books, put on her backpack, and went downstairs.

As she descended, Mu Beiting was sitting on the living room sofa on the first floor, reading a newspaper. Seeing her come down, he put down the paper and walked to the dining room.

However, he had just sat down when Ye Anxin was already leaving with her backpack on.

Mu Beiting sat in front of the dining table, stunned for a moment, his gaze lingering on the spot where Ye Anxin disappeared at the door.

”Madam... Madam...!” The housekeeper was also taken aback by Ye Anxin’s sudden departure, and when he returned to his senses, he hurriedly chased after her.

Hearing the housekeeper calling behind her, Ye Anxin stopped, turned her head, and asked, ”Is there something wrong?”

The housekeeper, smiling, said, ”Madam, you haven’t had breakfast yet!”

”No, I’m running late, if I don’t go now, I’ll be late!” she said, waving to the housekeeper and running off without waiting for a response.

Watching Ye Anxin’s departing back, the housekeeper’s mouth twitched and he turned back inside.

Mu Beiting, sitting in the dining room, coldly swept a glance at the housekeeper’s empty back, and asked sharply, ”Where’s the madam?”

Frightened into breaking out in a cold sweat by Mu Beiting’s sharp gaze, the housekeeper hurriedly lowered his head and, with a stiff head, said, ”The madam, madam said she was running late for class, so she didn’t eat!”

At this, Mu Beiting’s eyes flashed, his brows furrowed, and he threw the chopsticks in his hand onto the table in front of him.

Though unable to see it, the housekeeper could still feel the oppressive air emanating from Mu Beiting’s very bones, and was immediately frightened, unsure of what to do.

Mu Beiting, with a cold face, sat by the dining table for a while; not eating breakfast, he stood up directly and went upstairs.

With Mu Beiting gone, the housekeeper couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Looks like Mr. Mu was really angry!

It’s understandable—Mr. Mu waited downstairs after his morning run, hoping to have breakfast with the madam!

But the madam, without even looking at Mr. Mu, just left!

No wonder Mr. Mu was so angry!

Sigh...!

......

After leaving the villa, Ye Anxin was driven to the school. After the driver left, she didn’t enter the school but headed towards the opposite street instead.

Actually, there are no classes in the morning, just two professional courses in the afternoon!
