Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 228: Chapter 227: Was He Just Teasing Her?

Ye Anxin gave Mu Beiting a once-over and asked, puzzled, ”Uncle, why are you wearing that outfit today?”

Mu Beiting responded lightly, ”Get up quickly!”

”What for? There’s nothing to do anyway!” Ye Anxin pouted.

She hadn’t forgotten what happened last night! She had been sulking all night, while he acted as if nothing was wrong, not caring or asking, even as if he didn’t realize she was upset!

Thinking about it still made her incredibly frustrated!

Mu Beiting gestured to the watch on his wrist, ”Didn’t you say you wanted to go to Jiangcheng? I’ll give you five minutes. I’ll be waiting at the door! Don’t be late!” With that, he left the room without looking back.

Ye Anxin didn’t react until he completely disappeared.

What did he mean by giving her five minutes? Waiting for her at the door? Did that mean uncle was taking her to Jiangcheng today? Personally taking her?

Was she dreaming?

Thinking of this, Ye Anxin pinched her cheek hard!

”Ouch!” The pain felt so real that she couldn’t help but gasp.

Realizing it wasn’t a dream, an endless joy followed. Overwhelmed with excitement, she jumped out of bed and shouted happily, ”Ah...haha...! It’s true, it’s true, uncle is taking me out to play! Haha...!”

After shouting, she remembered Mu Beiting’s five-minute declaration, and despite being pregnant, she quickly jumped off the bed and rushed to the bathroom to freshen up.

After washing up, Ye Anxin feared she’d run out of time, so she randomly grabbed a set of clothes from the wardrobe, threw on a backpack, and dashed to the door.

Mu Beiting stood straight at the door, and when he saw her come out, he looked at his wristwatch and tapped it, ”You’re a minute late!”

Ye Anxin approached, linked arms with him, and smiled charmingly, ”Hehe, Uncle, you have to go easy on me! Look, I’m carrying a child, so of course, I’ll be slower! Besides, five minutes isn’t even enough to brush my teeth! I was already very fast!”

Mu Beiting glanced at her flat stomach.

Ye Anxin hurriedly and sheepishly covered her flat stomach and gave him a sheepish grin.

”Let’s go!” Mu Beiting glanced at her guilty little face again, opened the door; Ye Anxin quickly let go of his arm and dashed out the door first.

Mu Beiting looked at his empty arm, his brow slightly furrowed, and a hint of displeasure flashed in his eyes.

Ye Anxin remained oblivious, reached the elevator, and pressed the button.

The elevator opened with a ’ding’, and Ye Anxin hurriedly stood at the door, waving to Mu Beiting, ”Uncle, hurry up, come on, the elevator is here!”

Mu Beiting’s brow furrowed even tighter as he took big steps into the elevator and pulled her inside from the door, holding her in his arms.

”Haha, finally going out to play, and with Uncle too, this is great!” Ye Anxin remained immersed in excitement, not noticing Mu Beiting’s change.

Mu Beiting spoke in a deep voice, ”Keep away from the elevator doors in the future! Either come in or stay outside! Understand?”

Ye Anxin playfully stuck out her tongue, ”Alright, alright, I know! I was just too excited just now and overlooked it!”

Given all the elevator accidents nowadays, she understood Uncle’s intention; he was concerned for her! Therefore, she was very happy because of his attentiveness and concern.

Mu Beiting pressed his lips together, grabbed her small hand, then linked arms with her again.

”Pfft,” seeing his childish action, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Mu Beiting turned his face away, a suspicious hint of red emerging on his handsome face.

”Haha, Uncle is shy! Haha...!” Ye Anxin hadn’t finished laughing when Mu Beiting’s cold, warning gaze swept over.

Ye Anxin’s smile stiffened, and she quickly stowed it away.

Only then did Mu Beiting turn his head back, satisfied.

Once Mu Beiting looked away, Ye Anxin turned her head, covering her mouth with her hand, and continued to chuckle quietly.

It wasn’t until the elevator reached the ground floor and they stepped out that Ye Anxin reluctantly stopped laughing.

They exited the hotel, and Mu Beiting led Ye Anxin to board the business car waiting outside the hotel.

As usual, Mu Beiting and Ye Anxin sat in the backseat, with the driver in the front.

Ye Anxin, linking arms with Mu Beiting, curiously asked, ”Uncle, didn’t you say yesterday that you hadn’t finished your work? How come you have time to take me out today?”

Mu Beiting answered matter-of-factly, ”Aren’t I taking care of business right now?”

Hearing this, Ye Anxin was momentarily speechless with anger.

So it seemed like last night, Uncle was just playing with her!

Uncle must have ’planned’ it from the start, making her angry for nothing last night! If she had known Uncle was taking her to tour Jiangcheng today, she wouldn’t have been upset last night! She probably wouldn’t even have been able to sleep from excitement.

Ye Anxin puffed her cheeks, ”So where are we going first now?”

Mu Beiting simply said, ”Tourist spots!”

Hearing that, Ye Anxin felt the words stuck in her chest and unable to come out!

Of course, she knew he was taking her to tourist spots! But, what spots exactly? Surely there should be a name!

Such a perfunctory answer, glaringly perfunctory!

But given Uncle’s personality, she couldn’t expect too much! Otherwise, what if he got angry and refused to take her out to play?

Thinking this, Ye Anxin snuggled her head against Mu Beiting’s arm and sweetly said, ”As long as Uncle is with me, anywhere is fun!”

Mu Beiting asked back, ”Really?”

Ye Anxin raised her head and earnestly declared, ”Really! Uncle is the most important to me, as long as you’re with me, I’m happy!”

Mu Beiting stared at her serious little face for a while, then suddenly told the driver, ”Driver, turn around, back to the hotel!”

”Huh...!” Ye Anxin was stunned, blinking, not quite catching on!

Mu Beiting said nothing, just looked at her very seriously.

Ye Anxin managed to smile, awkwardly saying, ”Hehe, Uncle, you’re getting more and more humorous! Hehe!”

Mu Beiting looked at her assuredly, ”I, Mu Beiting, never joke!”

”Ugh...! No...please! I want to go out and play; I really want to go! It’s a rare opportunity, and not going out is such a waste! I want to go out to play!” Seeing he seemed serious, Ye Anxin immediately puckered her mouth and started sobbing pathetically.

Mu Beiting remained silent, his deep eyes still fixed on her.

Feeling guilty under his gaze, Ye Anxin’s eyes darted around, and she lowered her head in compromise, ”Alright! I was just joking with Uncle! I really want to go out and play!”

Hearing this, a barely noticeable curve appeared on Mu Beiting’s tightly pressed lips.

Ye Anxin gently shook Mu Beiting’s arm, pleading pitifully, ”Uncle, please take me out to play! Please! I really want to go out!”

Mu Beiting pinched her chin, lifted her face, and kissed her soft lips hard.

”Hehe! Uncle is the best!” Though it was just a kiss, Ye Anxin knew that this was Uncle’s way of agreeing!

She could keep playing!

Haha...!
