The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1474: Chapter 1474: Unaccredited School

”I wish everyone stays safe and sound.”

”I hope to save more money this year to let the kids learn more knowledge.”

”I hope my son can get into a good university! Preferably one of the Top Ten Military Schools of the Alliance.”

”I wish the Beast Tide never comes. Never ever comes.”

...

The rich aroma of the porridge encouraged everyone to pour out their hopes—after Granny Chen spoke, Liu Ming, Uncle Liang, and the other rescued individuals gathered around the porridge pot, sharing their wishes with each other.

Granny Chen didn’t join the discussion, watching Ji You, A Ke, Sheng Qingyan... this group of young people, with a smile always in her eyes, quietly cooking porridge for everyone.

Everyone was eagerly waiting, hoping Granny Chen would soon give the order to eat.

Unfortunately, Granny Chen was quite stubborn, insisting that the porridge made with Natural Rice must be cooked to the perfect consistency.

At this moment, the enticing aroma of the porridge drew Principal Hong out of the spaceship’s rest cabin as well.

Walking out, Principal Hong quietly moved a small stool, sitting very unobtrusively behind Granny Chen, craning his neck at the porridge pot, looking just like Ji You and the others.

Faced with a group of foodies waiting to be fed, Granny Chen’s face remained calm. As a cook with some skill, she was obviously unfazed by such scenes, holding a spatula in one hand, pulling a few sticks of firewood with the other—the moment everyone saw this gesture, they knew the porridge was ready.

Immediately, Ji You shot up to Granny Chen, ingratiatingly saying, ”Granny, could you please serve me a bowl? Though I’m small, I can eat a lot, so fill it up, don’t worry about me not finishing it.”

Granny Chen couldn’t help but laugh, saying, ”Alright, alright...”

Chu Jiaojiao also ran over, scratching her head and giggling, ”Granny, I’m tall and eat a lot, could you please give me more too?”

Granny Chen treated everyone equally: ”Sure.”

Sheng Qingyan squeezed between the two, pouting and shamelessly pouting, ”Granny, I’m so cute, can’t you give me a little more too?”

Granny Chen looked up and thought that wasn’t wrong, this child was indeed cute, and smiled, ”Alright.”

Next, Yue Qiguang, Yue Qiyuan, Shen Changqing... even Liu Fufeng, who looked so fragile, rushed to Granny Chen’s side, trying to say a few nice words.

A Ke, who was still a minor, was stunned, while Liu Ming, Uncle Liang, and the others were also dumbfounded.

Are these Military Academy students this shameless and thick-skinned for a bite of food?

It was quite an eye-opener.

Then, A Ke, Uncle Liang, and the others all turned their heads to the composedly seated Principal Hong.

In front of such fragrant porridge, Principal Hong still sat stably.

A Ke, Uncle Liang, and the others couldn’t help but marvel that the principal was indeed different, with a resolve stronger than others.

The next second, everyone watched as Principal Hong slowly stood up, turned to Granny Chen with a bright smile, and said, ”Sister, you’ve worked hard, let me handle this little task of serving the food.”

Ji You and others: ”!!!”

Ji You glared: ”Whoa, cunning!”

”Hmm?” Principal Hong raised an eyebrow, looking at Ji You, ”Cunning, are you sure?”

Ji You quickly shook her head: ”No, no, you misunderstand, it’s nothing, just a slip of the tongue.”

”That’s more like it. Next time, remember to speak clearly. Otherwise, I won’t hesitate to call you out.” After he finished speaking, Principal Hong swung his sleeve, taking over the porridge ladle that Granny Chen offered willingly,

Ji You looked annoyed.

No one expected Old Hong to serve the food, Chu Jiaojiao and the other students felt just like Ji You, completely taken aback.

Then, Ji You, Chu Jiaojiao, Shen Changqing... each had half a ladle less in their bowls.

No surprise there.

Being stingy with serving food is indeed an old tradition at their school.

No longer surprised by it.

All the porridge was distributed, and Principal Hong saved a big bowl for himself, Dr. Luo, Granny Chen, and Uncle Liang.

Indeed, he made no effort to hide the fact that he abused his power for personal gain (cough cough... although the rice used to cook the porridge was his, as was the pot).

After that.

Principal Hong took out a green onion, a few garlic cloves, and a small dish of dipping sauce from his Space Button, and leisurely enjoyed his porridge with onion, dipping both garlic and onions in the sauce, savoring the taste.

Seeing this, Ji You couldn’t help but curl her lip: ”Everyone, don’t be envious, eating raw onion and garlic gives you bad breath! Now I know why the principal always has bad breath.”

Principal Hong’s hand holding the porridge bowl shook.

The next second, Ji You felt something coming at her, she quickly ducked, but still, something hit her heavily on the lip!

Snap!

It burned with pain!

To Ji You’s surprise, the thing that hit her wasn’t any hidden weapon but a piece of scallion!

Yes, just a limp, squishy scallion that crumbles easily between fingers.

Ji You widened her eyes!

Chu Jiaojiao, Yue Qiguang, and the others gasped.

What kind of force is this!

It’s not uncommon for heavy weapons to deal massive damage, but this was scallion!

Principal Hong glanced sideways at Ji You and continued leisurely eating his porridge.

Ji You stuck out her tongue to lick the scallion clinging to her lip into her mouth, then grinned and laughed, ”Delicious! Scallions with porridge, the taste is superb. Thank you for your generosity, principal, may I have more?”

Everyone: ”...”

Yue Qiguang and others sighed: In terms of being thick-skinned and adaptable, Ji You is indeed impressive.

Principal Hong’s mouth twitched, and from the Space Button, he pulled out a scallion, tossed it to Ji You, saying: ”If one scallion isn’t enough to shut your mouth, how about adding a slap?”

Ji You hurriedly said: ”That won’t be necessary, I’ll keep my mouth shut tight, not a word will escape.”

Principal Hong: ”Hmm?”

Ji You raised her hand and mimed zipping her lips.

Principal Hong was satisfied.

Then, he noticed everyone else was dumbfounded, especially A Ke, Granny Chen, Liu Ming, Uncle Liang, and the rest.

Principal Hong, calm as ever, raised his hand, gesturing for everyone to eat, and then continued with his meal.

Granny Chen’s porridge-cooking skill was indeed top-notch. This wasn’t particularly valuable Natural Rice from an ordinary origin, yet her cooking elevated the flavor multiple levels.

Everyone ate quietly, while A Ke sidled up secretly, asking Ji You in a low voice: ”Sister, I’ve always forgotten to ask, are you students from the Alliance First Military Academy since you’re so impressive?”

Before Ji You could reply, Principal Hong heard and instantly frowned displeased, saying: ”How could such a sketchy school match our extraordinary qualities?”

”Sketchy... sketchy school?” A Ke thought she misheard, her lips twitching, only to hear Sister Ji You, Sister Jiaojiao, and Brother La Yan around her all saying in unison: ”Exactly, such a sketchy school doesn’t match our grand stature at all.”

A Ke: ”...”
