The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1464: Chapter 1464: Vision

Xiao You still looked a little dazed, but Ji You had already made the decision: ”Let’s happily settle it like this. Anyone who’s willing to study the Iron Plate Array Diagram with me will pay a bit of tuition. Anyone who doesn’t want to learn—he wouldn’t come even if it were free.”

Xiao You: [Oh... as long as you’ve decided, Sis.]

Then.

Feeling that sounded a bit perfunctory, Xiao You nodded hard and said loudly: [Sis, once you think of it, just do it. I’ll always be your strongest backing.]

Ji You suddenly asked, ”Xiao You, what price do you think I should set?”

Xiao You tilted her head, thought for a moment, and cautiously suggested: [1... 100,000 credit points?]

Ji You shook her head. ”I think that price is... a little off.”

Xiao You: [Too... too low? How about 1,000,000 credit points?]

Ji You said, ”No.”

Xiao You felt her heart—made of real flesh and blood—thudding wildly: [Knowledge about an Array Diagram is indeed priceless. My vision is too shallow. 1,000,000 is too little, way too little. How about we start from 100 million?]

”Ahem...”

”Cough, cough!!!” Ji You choked hard. After patting her chest, she said in disbelief, ”Xiao You, I really couldn’t tell—you actually have the potential to become a black-hearted profiteer.”

Xiao You: [Cough...]

Her face flushed bright red in an instant.

Ji You thought it over carefully and said, ”I’ve decided. Let’s set the price at 10 credit points.”

Xiao You: [Huh?!!!]

Did she mishear? Or did Sis slip her tongue?

Ji You’s expression turned serious, and her tone became very solemn: ”I’ll dismantle all the structures of the few Array Diagrams I currently understand and write a complete analysis and summary report. Of course, this knowledge is not something that 10 credit points can buy. Customers have to complete the earlier tasks before they’re qualified to purchase it.”

Xiao You: [???]

She... she didn’t understand.

Ji You said, ”I’ll release the simplest Array Diagram. Whoever wants to view it will need to pay 10 credit points to buy it.”

Xiao You’s eyes lit up, and she suddenly had a bit of an epiphany: [Sis, you mean only people who buy the Array Diagram can read the analysis and summary report you write afterward?]

”Exactly.” Ji You nodded.

[But——]

[It’s so... so cheap.] Xiao You felt it was a bit of a loss and said: [It is an Array Diagram after all. Sis, aren’t we selling it too cheap? Won’t we take a huge loss?]

”We won’t.”

”Relax. Doing business at a loss is not my philosophy. My philosophy is ’you happy, me happy, everyone happy’—meaning the customers should buy happily and confidently, and I should sell happily and with peace of mind.”

Xiao You: [I don’t quite get it, but Sis, you’re amazing.]

Ji You: ”...”

Ji You cleared her throat and explained, ”I remember the first time I sensed the Iron Plate, even though I was fully focused, I only saw a blurry shadow. I couldn’t make out the Array Diagram on it at all, and my head started buzzing and hurting... It took me days to recover my mental state. So, being able to see the Array Diagram clearly comes with conditions. If someone spends 10 credit points to view it once and can see everything clearly in one go, they’re definitely a genius among geniuses, an extreme minority. I believe that for most people to fully see the complete structure of one Array Diagram, they’ll need at least 10 to 100 viewings.”

In other words——

If one person watches a guaranteed minimum of 100 times, that’s 1,000 credit points spent! Since the price is very low, even an ordinary commoner can grit their teeth and afford it. By then, the base number of buyers will definitely be huge. One person spending 1,000 credit points means 10 people is 10,000, 1,000 people is...

10,000, 100,000, 1,000,000...

Xiao You’s breathing turned rapid! Her eyes went wide!

Sis really deserves to be called a profiteer!

Ahem, ahem...

Slip of the tongue.

Sis isn’t a profiteer; she’s a big-time businesswoman!

Hearing Xiao You’s suddenly quickened breathing, Ji You was a little puzzled and asked, ”Xiao You, what are you thinking about?”

[No!]

[Nothing!]

Xiao You’s face flushed bright red again.

[I... I just thought about how we’re going to earn a lot, a lot of money, and got really excited.]

Listening to Xiao You’s soft, sticky voice, brimming with excitement and shyness, Ji You felt she might unconsciously be leading this good kid astray. So Ji You straightened her expression and said, in a very reserved tone, ”Whether we make money or not doesn’t really matter. What’s important is that we’re passing knowledge on to others.”

Once Xiao You heard that, she nodded hard: [Mm!]

As expected, her level of awareness still couldn’t compare to Sis’s.

After saying that with a completely straight face, Ji You suddenly grinned and let out a sneaky laugh: ”But!!! We’re going to make so, so much money!!!! I’m so happy!!!”

”Hahaha!!!”

”Devil Mu would never expect that I could pay off that 10 billion debt in the blink of an eye! Hahaha!!!” The more Ji You thought about it, the happier she got, until her mouth looked like it might twist from smiling: ”I’m really looking forward to Devil Mu’s expression when I pay her back~~~”

Xiao You shouted: [Teacher Mu is definitely going to be shocked out of her mind!]

Ji You snickered. ”She’s going to be scared stupid! Hahaha... She thought that with a pile of contracts, she could laugh at me for a lifetime, right? Not happening! Never again! Hahaha... I really was born to be a big profiteer! I’m too good at making money! Hahaha...”

Listening to her sister’s contagious, devilish laughter, Xiao You’s eyes sparkled and she laughed along: [Sis, Sis is not a big profiteer at all!]

That’s right.

How could Sis be a big profiteer? Selling such expensive knowledge at such a cheap price—how could that be profiteering?

Real profiteers are the kind who suck you dry down to your bones, then still use your ashes as fertilizer to grow vegetables.

Sis is genuinely passing knowledge on to others. Charging a bit of tuition is just to filter out those who truly want to learn. Xiao You believed that at the beginning, many people would pay 10 credit points just to gawk, but once they realized they couldn’t handle it, a lot of them would quit.

After that, the ones left would be those truly willing to learn and who have talent in Soul Artifact Manufacturing.

Mm!

Exactly.

It has to be like this.

Staring at the only light source in the Iron Plate Space, Xiao You repeated with a very serious face: [Sis is not a profiteer! Sis is an angel!]

”Cough, cough...” Hearing Xiao You’s praise, Ji You choked again, suddenly feeling a bit guilty, and hurriedly said, ”That’s not true. I’m just focused on making money. I didn’t think about anything else, ahem...”

Xiao You: [Sis, you don’t have to hide it. I get it.]

”???” Ji You opened her mouth. ”G-get... get what?”

Xiao You: [Sis deliberately acts all mercenary, but inside you’re actually super gentle.]

”Th-that can’t be right...” Ji You really did feel a bit ashamed.

Xiao You: [In my heart, my sister is a warm, sunny, generous, selfless, straightforward... kind of person.]

And——

No matter whether you’re perfect or not, in my heart, you’re always the best one. Xiao You silently added this line in her mind.

Ji You’s face flushed even redder in an instant.
