The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1337: Chapter 1337: Infiltration

Start with food?

He Dun listened and his eyes lit up instantly!

Exactly.

The best way is to use food as a starting point to ignite the conflict between Louis and Charles’ forces. He Nu turned to Gu Peiyuan excitedly and found that Gu Peiyuan had already regained his calm and composure. Gu Peiyuan said: ”After Charles led his team away from the camp, his elite troops were almost completely moved out. There are nearly 5 hours during which Louis has every opportunity to clear out Charles’ stronghold.”

”What if Louis didn’t?” He Nu thought for a moment and said: ”From what I know of him, he should be a gentleman.”

He Nu proactively went to the Lanyue Star Military Academy to challenge Ji You. During this period, he also met Louis, Lance, Chu Jiaojiao, Shen Changqing, Sheng Qingyan, and the Yue brothers. Although the time was short, He Nu felt he had some understanding of their personalities and characters.

As for Louis, his character is unquestionable.

Gu Peiyuan heard this and laughed: ”If I say there is, then there is. Even if there isn’t, there is.”

He Nu pursed his lips.

Gu Peiyuan said: ”Alright, we will later—”

Gu Peiyuan communicated with He Nu and several other people and made arrangements.

Then.

The group of people came out from behind the rock wall, while others continued to squat and wait for instructions. He Nu and Gu Peiyuan wrapped themselves in straw coats, trying to cover themselves tightly, especially to shield their faces.

Before leaving, Gu Peiyuan, feeling slightly uneasy, asked a careful girl in the team: ”Can you recognize me?”

The girl carefully looked him over and shook her head: ”If you don’t speak, I can’t recognize you.”

Gu Peiyuan snapped his fingers: ”That’s enough.”

Due to the weather and lack of warm clothing, everyone used various techniques to keep warm, like stuffing tree leaves, branches, and straw, wrapping themselves almost completely from head to toe. Since most of the students’ heights were similar (except Ji You), they were hard to distinguish by appearance and attire.

Similar to Gu Peiyuan, He Nu disguised himself to the point that his own parents wouldn’t recognize him.

The two set off immediately.

Their target was a nearby small outpost, with only about 5 people. Because it was situated between the territories of Louis and Charles, the small outpost had been transformed into a forward observation post to watch Louis’ forces.

The two sped up as much as possible, slowing down only upon nearing the forward observation post. Gu Peiyuan lowered his voice and said, ”Find a way to take down the two guards ahead.”

Suddenly, He Nu shook his head and said: ”No need for such trouble.”

Gu Peiyuan: ”???”

Then Gu Peiyuan saw He Nu suddenly straighten his posture and adjust his collar, then swagger towards the enemy’s forward observation post.

Gu Peiyuan: ”?!!”

Unable to understand, Gu Peiyuan simply followed along.

After taking a few steps, they were noticed by the enemy: ”Who are you?”

”Shhh—” He Nu suddenly lowered his voice: ”Brothers, I’m from that side,” gesturing towards Louis’ territory.

The two students guarding the post paused their actions upon hearing this.

But!

Their vigilance remained.

As for He Nu?

He Nu didn’t feel a bit guilty, continued swaggering closer to the two: ”Brothers, really can’t hold on anymore. I’m here to borrow a light from you.”

Witnessing all this, Gu Peiyuan sighed inwardly, thinking that someone with experience as a traitor really knows their stuff.

So Gu Peiyuan followed suit.

Step by step.

He Nu’s strides were quick and as he meticulously approached the enemy, his heart was in his throat. But having mingled in the enemy camp with Ji You for a while, Ji You and everyone with Ji You managed not to get exposed the whole time. How was it done?

He Nu summed up the experience and felt the key was to be bold and confident.

Absolutely.

No matter what you do, you must be bold, confident, and never timid or faint-hearted. Only this way can the risk of exposure be minimized.

In this aspect, Ji You excels greatly. She’s the type of person who, with a knife to an enemy’s neck, manages to have the bewildered enemy grateful and singing her praises.

Thoughts and reflections descended one by one. He Nu arrived in front of the enemy: ”Brothers...do you have any equipment for lighting a fire?”

The two sentries were very cautious, not responding, only asking: ”Name, number, squad...report them all.”

He Nu, right in front of them, wasn’t a bit worried, and fabricated a new identity on the spot. His previous made-up identity ’Wang Qiang’ was no longer usable, but Ji You had mingled in the enemy’s ranks and met some people. Especially when she carried Shaun’s orders out to gather the Alliance Army, she made quite the acquaintance, one that He Nu could conveniently use now.

The two sentries listened, pondered for a moment. They clearly couldn’t discern the truth in He Nu’s words, but that wasn’t a problem, because wasn’t there still the participant wristband?

Just take it out and have a look.

Thus—

The two made their request.

Then—

He Nu and Gu Peiyuan had already taken action, swiftly taking care of the two, without alerting anyone inside the forward observation post...

The two exchanged a glance, quickly stripped the clothes off the two enemies, draped them over themselves, then with some slight adjustments, they looked just like the original two enemies.

Gu Peiyuan said: ”I’ll go inside, you stay outside.”

He Nu: ”Alright.”

Gu Peiyuan composed himself and quickly headed inside the forward observation post. Just as he was about to enter, a student came out and asked: ”Who was here just now?”

Gu Peiyuan said: ”Someone from the other side came to borrow a light.” He kept his voice low. Because of the cold weather, everyone’s voice was roughened by the wind, and the chilling air made it hard to easily discern.

This person didn’t have doubts and asked: ”Borrow a light?”

Gu Peiyuan’s voice carried a hint of anger: ”Borrow for cooking, we’re all hungry while they have food and drink. Why should we?”

This person frowned at those words but felt a stirring inside.

Gu Peiyuan, still not satisfied, continued grumbling: ”You know what I heard just now? They’re planning to eat well and rest, then wait till we’re in a life-and-death battle with the enemy and come to reap the benefits.”

There’s indeed this possibility.

This is also one of Commander Charles’ concerns, which is why Commander Charles was hesitant to act, wary of Louis pulling any tricks behind the scenes.

And—

The person in charge at the forward observation post secretly received a covert mission, which was to use the advantageous terrain to search, investigate the true whereabouts of the food supplies—

The food supply couldn’t be revealed to ordinary soldiers, lest everyone find out and morale be affected. It could only be searched for secretly.

Now?
