The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1323: Chapter 1323: Ji You’s Blind Eye Method

”Cough, cough... Gu Peiyuan doesn’t seem to be locked in the small dark room yet, not sure when he’ll see the light of day again.”

”I guess it’ll be after the competition ends.”

”Hiss—”

”How tragic!”

”If a stubborn Commander like Charles encountered Ji You, what would happen?”

”Probably worse than Gu Peiyuan, right?”

”Heh... Anyway, Ji You doesn’t play by the rules.”

”Is this Ji You? Suddenly I understand why she can climb the United University rankings with 2B talent! In the same situation, or even worse for Ji You, Charles’s subordinates can only put their hope in the Commander, expecting him to realize his mistakes and change. But why don’t they consider that someone like Charles, even if he changes, it won’t happen overnight?”

”Exactly! Charles is so arrogant, he doesn’t see the lower-rank soldiers as people. If not, he wouldn’t lose so miserably. Can he immediately realize and amend his mistakes? What’s in these people’s heads that they don’t learn from Ji You and rebel?”

”Look how smart Ji You is; even if she rebels, she doesn’t lose points.”

”Exactly, if I were them, I’d punch Charles to knock him out!”

”Knock him into a pig’s head!”

”And then?” someone suddenly asked, ”Once you’ve knocked him into a pig’s head, how do you plan to wrap it up? How will you get other Charles’s followers to obey you, and how will you face the major crisis brought by Ji You?”

The entire screen suddenly fell silent.

second.

seconds.

seconds.

...

Still silent.

After a moment.

Someone said, ”I can’t think of anything, so I’d still be a soldier following orders.”

”Me too.”

”Me as well.”

...

Thus, the enthusiasm for discussion on the screen faded, and everyone watched the competition earnestly.

On the screen.

Charles heard the girl’s question, paused for a moment, then said, ”First, order someone to instruct Louise Carter to bring his squad to see me. Second, send people to search for traces of the enemy that have stealthily infiltrated. Third, at the ten checkpoint entrances, have people keep an eye, and deploy our main troops at the central military base; disperse other forces evenly around these ten checkpoints. Once any sign changes, immediately send central forces to support.”

The enemy is extremely cunning this time. They have revealed themselves at ten checkpoints, but when they finally attack our side, they’ll likely select one, at most two checkpoints...

The other eight are all blind eye methods!

The question is, how do we distinguish and determine which one the enemy will choose?

We must exclude eight or nine options, and that’s challenging.

Damned!

Charles clenched his fist fiercely!

Even more frustrating is knowing the enemy’s trickery, yet they must respond, while Charles can only take reactive measures, spreading his troops to ten directions in extremely cold weather.

In extreme conditions, dispersing troops is equivalently dispersing combat power, which is incredibly dangerous.

But!

No other choice.

You know it’s an open scheme, but you must react.

Damned!

Which bastard came up with this lousy plan? If I catch him, I’ll beat him up.

Charles roared in his mind again!

After hearing Charles’s command, the girl hesitated a bit and said, ”What if the enemy learns about our troop dispersal?”

The enemy has a squad infiltrated from before! If they learn about our situation and secretly send information out, wouldn’t our Sixth Battalion be doomed???

Charles said with a firm face, ”Since they’ve entered our camp, they will eventually show traces. Send an additional squad to search for the enemy’s traces.”

Girl: ”Yes!”

Meanwhile, on the other side.

Louise stood inside the stone house, listening to the small transmitter handed over by his subordinates, his eyebrows tightly furrowed.

Beside him, a confidant said: ”Squad Leader, what should we do now? Shall we directly follow the Commander’s orders and join him to attack the enemy, or continue with our own actions?”

Louise asked, ”How many times has the Commander sent someone over?”

The confidant male said, ”Twice.”

Louise said, ”Then let him send a third, fourth, or fifth time before we talk.”

The confidant male asked, ”So we don’t have to pay attention?”

Louise, thinking about other things in his mind, chuckled upon hearing this, saying, ”Just say I’m not here, didn’t hear the orders.”

Male: ”...”

Directly ignoring the Commander’s words, hearing them like wind blowing past.

But this approach is sneaky too. Neither agreeing with the Commander nor worrying about being punished with a point deduction.

Beside Louise, a female was more thoughtful, thinking for a moment, she said: ”If we act so contradictorily, what if the Commander sends someone directly to handle us?” Having a bunch of rebellious troublemakers to solve is often easy, just by addressing the leader firmly.

The four squads under Louise don’t listen?

Just handle Louise.

Louise resisted the girl’s concern and laughed, saying, ”No need to worry about the Commander acting ’kak-cha’ on me now, because the current me is not the same as before, I’m no longer easily handled, plus, for the heavily-armed me, he dares not start a war with me directly, nor easily provoke me.”

The girl was bright-eyed upon hearing this, feeling it made a lot of sense.

Does Charles dare to move Louise casually?

No.

Since Louise already controls half the camp’s forces, he can at any time fight head-on with Charles.

Moreover, with hostile surroundings and eyeing tigers, Charles, no matter how stupid, wouldn’t start an internal war within his camp at this time, triggering widespread turmoil with unrecoverable consequences.

After discussing Commander Charles, Louise and several strategists beside him said, ”Charles is temporarily not a real threat; now, we need to defend against the enemy that can attack at any time.”

Ten checkpoints!

Ten!

All ten checkpoints arranged. Fake attack, this is Ji You’s doing, absolutely is!

Louise Carter furrowed his brow, saying, ”This is Ji You’s doing, it must be her doing. Her doing this isn’t simply about blind eye methods, I believe there should be other meanings behind it...”

What could it be?

Louise couldn’t quite figure it out at once; in school, Ji You was the type who didn’t play by rules nor followed convention, and no one could guess her ideas and approaches.

Louise pondered for a while, saying, ”Secure the four squads we control.”

Someone received the order and immediately went out to relay it.

Louise circled indoors, continuously touching his chin, contemplating Ji You’s thoughts.
