The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1315: Chapter 1315: Provisions!

Having knocked out Gu Peiyuan and one of his guards, and won over another, Ji You had a complete victory on this trip!

Then,

Ji You said to the girl: ”You’re familiar with this place, go find a sturdy rope, I want to tie up these two wooden-heads on the ground!”

Girl: ”...”

Surrendered and now being ordered around?

The girl’s heart was filled with mixed feelings, unsure if what she was doing was right, but knowing that if Ji You and his team could sneak into the camp silently, the situation outside wouldn’t be too good.

Changing the banner was clearly inevitable.

Commander Gu Peiyuan allowing Ji You and others to sneak up unnoticed obviously showed that his abilities were not comparable to Ji You’s.

Moreover, the girl had witnessed Ji You’s action against Gu Peiyuan twice!

Twice!

Gu Peiyuan couldn’t fight back both times; the first time Ji You caught him off guard, but the second time Gu Peiyuan was prepared and strong, almost about to cut off Ji You’s head!

So close, almost succeeded, the girl even felt the blade had cut into Ji You’s skin, but Ji You reversed the situation!

What does this show?

It shows that Ji You could have easily killed Gu Peiyuan in the first strike, but gave him a chance to counterattack. The purpose?

Definitely not for fun.

It was to test Gu Peiyuan’s depth and to display power to the two guards, reminding them to be wise.

The girl chose to be wise.

Ahem... anyway, Ji You is on her side, it’s the same whoever is commander.

The boy chose to be headstrong, so he was knocked out.

The girl had no doubt that if she said no, she would be knocked out the next second.

Ahem...

The sound of heads knocking made the girl’s head throb.

Then.

She became even wiser, saying: ”In the second floor of the armory, there are climbing ropes, very strong.”

Ji You smiled and said: ”I appreciate your taking the trip.”

The girl was stunned; her words were actually a step closer to surrendering to Ji You.

But Ji You didn’t take the hint?

Knowing that she mentioned the armory, a crucial military resource location of her camp, taking it would mean seizing real power.

Ji You didn’t take advantage of it, surprising the girl. For a moment, she felt Ji You was becoming increasingly unpredictable and unfathomable.

In truth? Regarding something as secure and certain as the armory, Ji You already claimed it, confident it wouldn’t be lost. Now, she focused more on other matters.

Then.

Despite the girl’s outward calm, her mind was racing with thoughts. Realizing the situation, she dared not think otherwise and seriously went to the armory to fetch the rope, returning within a minute.

Ji You saw her carrying the rope, raised a hand, signaling He Nu and Cheng Haoyue to tie people up.

Then, turning, he looked at the girl, asking: ”You’re familiar with the Commander Camp, right?”

It’s happening!

The real matter is happening.

Thinking she might receive an important task from Ji You, the girl straightened her posture, saying: ”Very familiar. I helped the Commander... ahem... former commander build and defend it.” After answering, she thought for a moment and added: ”I’m familiar with everything here—mechanisms, traps, defenses, personnel lists, and the former commander’s plans...”

Hearing ’former commander’, Ji You was pleased with her prudence, immediately showing a gratified smile, stepping forward warmly, and sincerely holding the girl’s hand, saying earnestly: ”That’s wonderful, I do need your help with a big task.”

Her hand being held tightly by Ji You, feeling the slight warmth in Ji You’s cool hand... the girl felt a bit uncomfortable, her face suddenly turned red: ”Please... please say.”

Ji You said: ”I need you to help carry 100 pounds of grain!”

Girl: ”...”

The girl’s fingers trembled, almost pulling her hand away, but Ji You held tight, she couldn’t pull away even with effort.

Seeing her face turn red, her body becoming extremely stiff, Ji You loosened his grip slightly, asking, probing: ”Is it difficult?”

The girl opened her mouth, hesitated.

She really didn’t expect the task Ji You gave her to be this! Even if she pulled out all her hair, she wouldn’t have thought of it!

She thought!

She thought Ji You wanted her to lead the troops to reclaim Gu Peiyuan’s military bases and fortresses!

Unexpectedly, she was asked to transport food!

The girl breathed rapidly, truly unable to contain her emotions, and lost control!

Indeed!

Ji You is but an empty-headed bandit leader, right? After taking over power, the first thing is to eat and drink lavishly?

The girl felt a bit disappointed.

Ji You saw her emotions fluctuating so much that even her eyes lost their shine, feeling a bit strange but unable to figure out why, and kindly said: ”You, a girl, delicate and frail, probably can’t carry 100 pounds, let me! I’m strong, I’ll help you carry it.”

Girl: ”...”

The girl glanced at Ji You’s thin arms and legs, then at her own agile and well-proportioned limbs, momentarily speechless.

Then.

The girl turned and left!

In the blink of an eye, she disappeared through the door.

With an empty stomach, feeling like his front chest was sticking to his back, Cheng Haoyue was quite surprised, ”The Commander Camp has food?”

Ji You, touching his chin, replied: ”There must be, but probably not much.”

The whole field, divided into two camps competing, no additional food provided even now, no airdrops for both camps to seize, which indicates both sides must have food.

The squad he’s in and others didn’t receive food from the commander, suggesting the food reserves are very small, too little for the commander to decide on distribution.

Hearing Ji You’s answer, Cheng Haoyue almost wept with joy, not mentioning how happy he was, while He Nu seemed somewhat worried, saying: ”We’re taking out the food to eat now? Will it affect the upcoming competition?”

Seeing the battle will prolong, once all food is exhausted, it means losing more than half.

He Nu’s thought is to keep the food for critical times.

His thought, like Gu Peiyuan’s plan, was to hold back distributing limited food, because if all distributed, each would only get a little, not enough for a full meal, temporarily not distributing, until a battle ensues, his side would inevitably lose some people.

Meaning, the food portion for those lost could be saved.

Saved up, the remaining elite troops could have more shares.

Gu Peiyuan planned and executed this way. This kind of meticulous calculation shows he’s indeed good at managing resources.

Ji You heard He Nu’s words, laughed heartily: ”How can those fighting with me go hungry? Eat! We must eat!”

He Nu: ”But—”

Ji You waved his hand: ”No buts! Everyone full, only then could they be strong, full of energy to fight! Because the next is the decisive battle!”

The implication being, at the decisive battle, why save the food?

He Nu and Cheng Haoyue were shocked!
