Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 478: Chapter 290: Envious of Brother Chu Every Day

”Daddy, your birthday is coming up, how do you want to celebrate?”

His birthday, December 12th, was approaching. When Lin Chu received Yang Huixian’s message, the word ”Daddy” left him feeling a little speechless.

’Well... she’s quite the dutiful daughter.’

’Oh, well.’

In a way, he really did give her more than her actual father ever had, both emotionally and financially.

This woman had a bit of a ”dark” side to her, a stark contrast to her public persona. On the surface, she was the quintessential iron lady, but only at home, and only with him, did he know just how crazy she could be.

Now, she was a shareholder and executive at LC Retail, as well as the manager of the Peng City Wanxiang City branch. Cutting ties with her was impossible, not that Lin Chu had any intention of doing so.

Even though he was trying to be faithful now, he had truly ”racked up” too many debts in the past.

’And now...’

’A birthday...’

’Tsk.’

’What a pain.’

”I’ll probably be on a business trip abroad, so I might not be able to celebrate. I haven’t celebrated my birthday in years anyway.”

Lin Chu casually replied.

’Trading space for time was a good solution.’

’It was a last resort.’

Yang Huixian, however, was persistent. ”Where are you going? I want to go with you... We haven’t spent time together in so long...”

At that moment, in her store at Wanxiang City, her hands flew across the keyboard. A faint smile played on her lips, but a sharp glint flashed in her eyes.

’She could guess what was on Lin Chu’s mind. It was just an excuse. He was worried about some ”Chaotic Scene,” he couldn’t be in two places at once, and... she wasn’t that important in his heart, not his number one priority.’

’Heh.’

’Men.’

’But what could she do when faced with a man like him?’

’Making a scene was definitely out of the question.’

’They were too deeply entangled in every respect.’

Two months ago, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Yang Huixian had actually wanted to take Lin Chu home to meet her relatives. It would have been a way to show him off and gain some prestige for herself. Besides, it was something she and Lin Chu had agreed upon from the very beginning.

But Lin Chu had stood her up.

She had her own opinion on the matter. She’d even sent someone to his hometown to inquire and found out that during that time, Lin Chu was constantly seen with a young girl who was still in school.

Previously, she had also investigated all sorts of information about Lin Chu through secret channels.

He later found out, and she paid a certain ”price” for it, getting a harsh ”lesson” from him.

Yang Huixian couldn’t be bothered to use these old tricks anymore, nor were they appropriate to use again.

She knew Lin Chu’s boundaries.

A soft approach was fine, but a hard confrontation was absolutely not.

’Sometimes, she even felt wronged. Am I not pretty enough? Is my body not good enough? Am I not capable enough? Or am I not slutty enough?’

’Of course, it was none of those reasons.’

’The only reason was a man’s basic nature: to love the new and tire of the old. It was decided deep in their genes, unchangeable.’

’In that case... she’d just have to fight.’

’She would fight all the other little fox spirits to the death!’

’And taking a huge step back, even if he didn’t marry me, he hadn’t married anyone else either!’

’There was still plenty of time and opportunity, wasn’t there?’

’Men, after they’ve had their fun, might eventually settle down. Once their hormones aren’t raging so much, they naturally start to yearn for stability.’

’In any case, she wasn’t going to give up.’

Besides, Yang Huixian was keenly aware of her own unique advantage: she was a great help to his career.

Lately, the performance of the Wanxiang City store had been steadily improving. Last month’s profits exceeded two million, they gained over a hundred new customers, and the various promotions she organized were all running smoothly and professionally.

’Where else could he find a woman like me!’

’Presentable in the drawing-room and skilled in the kitchen!’

Looking at Yang Huixian’s message, Lin Chu pursed his lips. He felt his heart soften a little. After a moment’s thought, he replied, ”Forget the birthday. Are you free in the next couple of days? How about we go on a little trip? Where do you want to go? Has to be abroad, though, preferably a major tier-one city. We can count it as a business inspection.”

’The more he studied the luxury goods sector, the more interesting he found it.’

’Others in the country were doing similar things to what he was currently doing.’

”For example, there was the sixty-thousand-US-Dollar wooden comb that woman from the Imperial Capital had mentioned at the SKP store, and other categories like Yun Jin, mahogany furniture, and Longquan Seal Paste. But these were all limited to small niches; no one was covering all categories.”

’The path he was currently on was one of a kind.’

’And he had immense capital and unparalleled determination.’

’He had to succeed!’

’No matter how much time and energy it took.’

”He was even thinking about acquiring the LV Group. If that wasn’t a sign of his immense determination, what was?”

’Within the country, he was like a scorpion taking a dump—the one and only.’

”Okay, you decide then. Wherever you want to go, I’ll go with you. Daddy...”

Yang Huixian replied in a cute and docile voice, a smile once again gracing her lips.

’Men, such adorable creatures.’

’They were like kites.’

’If the line is too long, they’ll fly away.’

’If the line is too short, they feel constrained.’

’Managing the distance, finding the right balance—it was all a matter of wisdom.’

’Just like now. She’d given a little ground, and sure enough, he had agreed.’

After all, Lin Chu wasn’t an unreasonable person.

At this point, Yang Huixian wasn’t with him for the money anymore.

She definitely had more than enough money.

She had once joked that for one hundred million a year, she would do anything he asked.

It seemed now that although her income this year wouldn’t reach that figure, with her shares, salary, and the various company benefits, her foreseeable future earnings might not be any less.
