Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 464: Chapter 284: The Flower on the High Peak and the 3 Bastards, Part 2

It was a simple script, but a classic one.

Dongnya had eagerly volunteered to play the part of the hostage.

She thought it would be a lot of fun.

Opportunities like this didn’t come along often, and it greatly satisfied her fantasies of the ”domineering CEO” trope.

The guns and bullets were, of course, simulated—the kind that worked with signal receivers. But other than that, everything was meant to mimic a real-world environment.

This impromptu ”map” was, in a sense, a no-man’s-land, with only a few supply points scattered about.

At that moment, Lin Chu was trekking through the snow.

He was surrounded by a dense forest of bare birch trees. Snow covered the ground and the branches, creating a harsh environment. Fortunately, the mountain wind wasn’t biting. It only rustled the treetops with a SHUSH, creating a certain tranquil beauty.

After taking out a pack of compressed biscuits to replenish his calories and rehydrating with some water, Lin Chu pressed onward.

According to the ”script,” the villains were about twenty kilometers away from him.

It was no simple task.

Trekking twenty kilometers in these conditions would be an enormous drain on both his stamina and willpower.

Heh.

’This is such a hassle.’

’But...’

’I’m the one who chose this!’

’If you don’t stir things up in life, what’s the point?’

’Stirring things up... that’s my idea of a quiet life.’

...

「In a deserted logging camp.」

Three young men from the base were gathered around a bonfire with Dongnya, a fat leg of lamb roasting over the flames. It looked for all the world like they were on vacation.

’To put it bluntly, they were just playing along with the boss.’

Lately, the young Chinese tycoon, Lin Chu, had become the main topic of conversation around the base.

Spending over a hundred million Rubles just for fun—such an extravagant display was truly stunning, leaving people speechless.

Of course, some of the qualities Lin Chu had displayed during training had also genuinely earned him a measure of respect.

’Chinese men are pretty badass after all.’

”Dongnya, are you going to go live with him in China in the future?”

The bald instructor, a man named Aleksey, asked the question, his breath fogging in the cold air. They were all warming themselves by the fire, a small bottle of liquor in each hand as they drank and chatted.

Over the past few weeks, this fierce yet beautiful woman had won over nearly everyone at the base. The gentleness she showed around Lin Chu, in particular, was as rare and precious as gold, making everyone else burn with envy.

’He deserves her!’

”Of course. He bought an island in the Philippines. I think we’ll probably spend more time living there in the future. I love the sun, the sand, and the sea.”

She had only found out about it a short while ago, and the surprise had delighted her, far exceeding her expectations.

’The life of the rich really is just too good.’

”That damned Chinese man, stealing the goddess of my dreams. I’m going to challenge him to a duel.”

Another young man next to them laughed, feigning anger, his tone laced with a hint of sour grapes.

Dongnya’s eyes widened as she looked at him, her brow furrowing slightly before quickly smoothing out. His crudeness made her uncomfortable, but she’d be leaving soon anyway. ’...Whatever.’

”You’re so handsome, I’m sure you’ll find a girl who likes you. It won’t be a problem at all.”

SMACK!

The young man received a hard slap on the forehead from Aleksey. ”Shut your shit-spewing mouth, or I’ll shove this red-hot iron skewer up your ass.”

The young man was speechless...

Stunned for a moment, he didn’t dare talk back to his senior. He just lowered his head, lit a cigarette, and exhaled a long plume of smoke.

”Dongnya, he’s just a kid. Don’t take what he said to heart.”

Aleksey said with a laugh, then added, ”Lin will absolutely be a good husband. A man like him will succeed anywhere. I’m sure of it.”

”Do you want to up the stakes?”

”I have a better idea. A way to see just how much he really loves you.”

He said, looking excited as he used his knife to slice meat from the leg of lamb.

Dongnya paused. ’?’

She gave him a look, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. ’This guy is so dramatic. He was the one who proposed the script in the first place, and now he wants to improvise.’

But at the same time, a sliver of vigilance quietly grew deep inside her.

’He’s not thinking of turning this play into a reality, is he?’

’For Lin Chu, this is a ”foreign country,” after all, and... his wealth is enough to make people green with envy, enough to make them do irrational things. Especially in a situation like this, almost completely cut off from the world.’

The base was at least fifty kilometers away.

There was practically no one else within a fifty-kilometer radius.

’And as for transportation, there are no helicopters, and cars can’t get in. If they really have any ill intentions, the consequences will be extremely severe.’

These thoughts flashed through her mind, and Dongnya flashed a bright smile. ”Okay, Aleksey, go on.”

Aleksey grinned, revealing slightly yellowed teeth. His smile was almost disarmingly sincere. ”We pretend we’ve really kidnapped you. When he gets here, we’ll kidnap him, too. Then, he’ll have to choose. Would you feel safe marrying a man who won’t protect you with his life?”

...Dongnya rolled her eyes internally.

’What a bullshit idea!’

His words put her even more on guard, but she let out a hearty laugh.

”What if he gets angry?”

”A test like that... Hiss... I don’t even know how I would choose...”

”Oh no, I think I’d probably just run and let him die in my place, HAHAHAHA...”

Dongnya said playfully, casually taking out her own knife and beginning to carve off a piece of the roast meat for herself.
