Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

A Word on This Volume

Starting from Chapter 261, a new arc begins.

We’re moving from a fixed setting—Peng City and its surroundings—to a ”road trip route,” heading in the direction of a ”road-trip novel”...

I have to admit, writing this way is a risk.

I’ve read all the ”god-tier wealthy” novels on Qidian, and while some have done this, none have tried it at the 800,000-word mark.

I’m really something else, so reckless.

But after outlining the plot again, I decided to break out of my comfort zone and write something new.

My goal is—

—a complete story.

Or, to put it another way:

—a perfect life.

And then, to put it down on paper, bit by bit.

...

The first 800,000 words of this book have two major flaws.

First:

Lin Chu didn’t follow the ”scumbag route” to the very end.

Around the 500,000-word mark, my thinking started to waver.

When designing the female characters, I made them unlikable. Almost every one of them has inherent flaws. This was based on my own objective understanding, an attempt to be more realistic.

But because of the inherent stylistic conventions of web novels, I can’t write major ”poison points” like ”losing a girl.”

This conflict between the initial character designs and the genre’s style is almost irreconcilable.

This is also the biggest flaw of the ”god-tier wealthy” genre.

Of course, it’s hypocritical to bite the hand that feeds you. If you don’t write about women, what kind of ”god-tier wealthy” novel is it?

So, for the upcoming plot, I’m firmly committing to the ”scumbag route.”

...

Second, there wasn’t enough focus on the bros.

In a way, I didn’t do justice to the book’s title—*Spending Money on My Bros*.

In the later parts, the money-spending quests kind of turned the bros into tools.

The emotional investment wasn’t as rich.

The character designs also became somewhat one-dimensional.

There’s an objective reason for this: How do you define friendship after becoming rich? How do you measure it? My understanding of it wasn’t ”precise” enough, or rather, not ”compelling” enough.

And when it came to characters of the ”same social class,” my portrayal wasn’t thoughtful enough. I also lacked real-life examples to draw from, so it ended up being hollow and unrealistic, not grounded at all.

I’ve never been rich, I really haven’t. I don’t even have a Brother Fu friend. Shit... (Tears up)

So, to summarize.

And to reflect.

I need to be more grounded. I’ll pay attention to these things in the future plot.

...

For the upcoming plot, I want to strengthen a certain story structure.

Therefore, I’m making some optimizations and dividing the story into volumes.

I want to write with more detail.

The core goal remains the same—to write a complete story, to write a complete life.

The first 800,000 words can be called Volume One: After Getting Rich.

There are six more volumes planned for the rest of the story.

They are:

Volume Two: Youth Has No Price Tag. The main elements will be travel, road trips, things happening, and people being met.

Volume Three: In the Name of Love. I’ll write a ”perfect” female lead and a perfect romance.

Volume Four: Land of Freedom. This will be about the development of the Overseas Island, breaking taboos, and achieving awesome things.

Volume Five: The True Warrior. This will be about a ”boy” growing into a real man. The core idea is a single sentence: True courage is to see the truth of life and love it anyway.

Volume Six: Thirty and Established. The core is... what life itself should be, my complete understanding of it. And then comes the grand finale, which will arrive on Lin Chu’s thirtieth birthday, concluding the entire book.

...

And that’s it.

Those are all my thoughts on the upcoming plot.

I’m a bit too embarrassed to ask for monthly tickets or subscriptions. My recent updates haven’t been great. Before I’d thought all this through, my writing was a little frantic, especially the Xiangjiang arc, which was a real piece of shit.

Now that I’ve thought it through, I feel like I have a backbone again.

In short, wherever my writing has flaws, I’ll honestly admit that I suck, then think, review, summarize, and improve.

The core theme remains the same—to write a complete story, to write a perfect life.
