Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 473: Chapter 288: Older Leftover Woman Candidate

After finishing his call, Lin Chu returned to the shop, feeling a new spring in his step.

One of the most satisfying things in the world was... using your own strength to make a passion a reality.

Although this goal was difficult.

But the harder it was, the more exciting it became, and the more valuable it would be to achieve.

A customer had arrived in the shop.

She was a fashionable and elegant woman wearing a qipao that accentuated her voluptuous figure.

She was chatting with Hu Ping’an, and they seemed to be hitting it off, as she let out light, cheerful laughs from time to time.

Hu Ping’an was wearing his ”work uniform”—a men’s outfit made of Xiangyun Sha. With its straight-front design and black-and-white color scheme, it gave him a refined, scholarly air. On his chest hung a nameplate that read, ”Chief Experience Officer.”

Lin Chu moved a little closer but didn’t interrupt, simply listening to their conversation nonchalantly.

”Your product line isn’t extensive enough. I actually really like your style—it’s rare to see on the market—but there are so few things I can actually buy.”

”You should at least have bags, right?”

”When it comes to traditional-style bags, there are two types I really like. One is the tablet pouch, which ancient ministers wore to court. The other is the fish pouch, which was used to carry a fish-shaped tally. Both of these are fantastic concepts. If you use high-quality materials and exquisite craftsmanship, and then add some modern design elements, there’s no reason they couldn’t become popular.”

”In any case, if you really do release these two styles, I’ll definitely buy them.”

She offered her suggestions in a gentle voice, yet she naturally exuded an air of luxurious sophistication.

Hu Ping’an was all smiles, listening intently and nodding repeatedly.

His customer service was practically perfect.

’Customers who are willing to give you opinions and suggestions are definitely your true fans.’

This beautiful woman had visited a few days ago to have a custom piece of Xiangyun Sha made.

Today, she had returned, wanting to buy something else, but hadn’t decided on anything yet.

This kind of conversation was an invaluable source of suggestions.

Of course...

...whether it was feasible was a judgment the business had to make, as well as how to design a product that the market would readily accept.

As Lin Chu listened, a thought stirred in his mind.

’Bags?’

’Bags are definitely a bestseller category.’

’Luxury goods that can be carried around are the ones that have the widest reach.’

’This is an excellent suggestion.’

’It really is necessary to launch a top-tier, Chinese-style luxury bag.’

’In terms of specific craftsmanship, we could absolutely incorporate and execute things like gilding, inlaying, engraving... there are so many incredible techniques available.’

’Of course, it would have to be combined with a modern sensibility.’

’But that wasn’t a huge obstacle. It was just a matter of finding a great product designer.’

”What are your plans for opening new stores?”

”Oh, Mr. Hu, let me give you another suggestion. Dubai. Dubai is an absolutely fantastic place. And airports, airports are great too. Take me, for example. A few months ago, I took a trip to Dubai. As soon as I landed at the airport, I saw a counter selling combs. They were traditional Chinese wooden combs, supposedly made of sandalwood, carved from a single block of wood. Guess how much they were selling for?”

”Fifty thousand USD!”

”Hah, and don’t even think about bargaining. The best-selling model was even out of stock! The nouveau riche in the Middle East are just too wealthy. You know the saying, ’A cloth on my head, I’m the richest in the world.’ They don’t look for the best, they look for the most expensive!”

Hearing her words, Hu Ping’an couldn’t help but laugh out loud and continued to nod enthusiastically.

’This lady can really talk.’

’But everything she’s saying is spot on. It’s making me a little tempted myself.’

At that moment, Hu Ping’an didn’t introduce Lin Chu. Brother Chu was listening right there, anyway. This lady was talkative, so it was better for her to just keep him occupied.

If Brother Chu was interested and didn’t mind the trouble, he would come over himself.

Seeing that Hu Ping’an was very interested in her suggestions, the beauty in the qipao became even more talkative, continuing to speak with great enthusiasm.

”It looks to me like you’re trying to build a comprehensive lifestyle store. Since that’s the case, you’ll definitely need more great items. Let me recommend two more things.”

”One is Yun Jin. In terms of price, it’s definitely a cut above Xiangyun Sha. A single custom-made outfit can easily run into the seven figures. I had one made last year—ouch, my wallet really hurt at the time—but I’ll tell you what, when you wear it, you’d fit right in even at a state banquet.”

”Then there’s Seal Paste, specifically Longquan Seal Paste. It’s made from Lotus Silk—isn’t that amazing? My husband absolutely loves that stuff. It’s quite a fun little hobby. It’s like lipstick for men! The unit price isn’t high, but whether you’re giving it as a gift or just enjoying it yourself, it’s very presentable.”

All Hu Ping’an could do was smile and nod.

’Those two items are also quite appealing.’

The woman was quite ”forward,” really getting involved, but this was typical of some Imperial Capital people. They could just talk and talk, about everything from astronomy and geography to international affairs.

In any case, her intentions were good.

Listening from the side, Lin Chu’s mind raced with possibilities.

’This is the most authentic feedback from a frontline consumer.’

’It’s definitely had an impact on me.’

”Oh, right, one more thing, hahaha! Let me just mention one last thing: product serial numbers.”

”We’re talking about top-tier Chinese luxury, an ’undefined luxury,’ right? So, what do I think is the ultimate Chinese luxury item right now?”

”It has to be the National Gift Porcelain! Porcelain is a ceremonial object, but the meaning behind it represents our country’s friendship. Each piece has a unique serial number and can be passed down through generations, you know?”

Hu Ping’an felt his face was about to freeze from smiling so much, but the amusement in his eyes was genuine.

This woman was very knowledgeable.

Her daily spending power was certainly nothing to scoff at.

And the things she said were all quite useful.
