Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 462: Chapter 283: Keep Playing, Go Big

’I approve of this union!’

’With both hands raised, I approve!’

”Y-You... hello.”

His Mandarin was broken.

Lin Chu smiled, pursing his lips, and gave him a fist bump. He had a good guess what the siblings had just talked about. He casually said to Dongnya with a laugh, ”I have to say, I preferred your brother’s defiant look from before.”

Dongnya hadn’t heard this popular Chinese meme before, but she caught the teasing tone and couldn’t help but laugh out loud. She turned to her brother and said with a smile, ”He says you’re very enthusiastic!”

”Go on, ask about the price. We’re going to book this whole place!”

Alyosha nodded, gave Lin Chu a deep look, and then walked briskly over. As it turned out, he had some old friends there.

As he walked, he couldn’t stop a grin from spreading across his face.

’Ten billion!’

’Such a young... oligarch?’

...

That very day, the Bitomnik Military Base, which was normally open to tourists, announced it was temporarily closed to the public.

After fulfilling its existing bookings, it would not be accepting any new reservations for the time being.

The price they quoted to book the entire facility was ten million Rubles a day, which converted to less than a million RMB.

To Lin Chu, this was dirt cheap.

Even for a full month, it would only be thirty million.

He could live out his dream of being a soldier, receive paramilitary training, and fire big guns to his heart’s content every day...

’What more could you say about an experience like that?’

’Book it!’

And so, for the days that followed, Lin Chu began his arduous yet thrilling training.

’What is the biggest difference between one army and another?’

Lin Chu had his own ranking in mind.

’First, it’s definitely organization.’

’Second, technology and logistics.’

’Only then does individual soldier skill come into play.’

The first two—organization was a Dragon Slaying Skill, while technology and logistics were like Internal Energy. As for the level of individual skill, that was merely an external technique.

’There’s no need for me to ”cultivate” the first two. Absolutely no need at all.’

’I’ll just practice the ”external techniques.”’

The base’s management took this massive order very seriously, and they packed his schedule.

Morning exercises consisted of weighted runs and obstacle courses in the bone-chilling dawn.

The morning was a package of theoretical courses, including combat techniques for various terrains, general knowledge of weapons and equipment, battlefield survival tactics, and individual survival skills in diverse environments.

The afternoon was for live-fire training: pistols, rifles, sniper rifles, and tanks. There were no planes, however, as he wasn’t qualified.

Lin Chu found it a pity, but for now, he had no choice but to accept it.

’As for a pilot’s license, I can always find a small country with laxer regulations later and have my fun. It’s all just a matter of practice makes perfect, anyway.’

The evenings were for melee weapons and combat techniques—a free-for-all brawl.

It was tough, admittedly.

But Lin Chu was enjoying every moment of it.

He wasn’t afraid of hardship now; he was afraid of being bored with nothing to do, afraid of having no goals, of feeling empty.

This high-intensity training filled his schedule from morning to night, pushing his physical and mental energy to the limit every single day.

Besides, he had his girlfriend with him to keep his bed warm.

Occasionally, he’d barbecue with the base instructors, have a few drinks, and shoot the shit.

This kind of comfortable military training would be virtually impossible in the regular barracks of any country in the world, but here, at this commercially operated base, it was a reality.

Lin Chu was having the time of his life.

Of course, he didn’t post any of this on TikTok. He was still trying to keep a low profile.

’It’s not that it would be a huge deal, since my official status right now is just a tourist.’

’I just have money, what’s wrong with that?’

’But it’s better to be cautious. Don’t go looking for trouble if there isn’t any.’

...

「In the midst of this training, the days passed one after another.」

A true marksman really is forged from bullets.

Every day, Lin Chu’s training plan was to fire one thousand rounds: two hundred from a pistol and eight hundred from a rifle.

This was at his own request.

’It’s just a matter of spending money.’

’No big deal.’

In the third week, Lin Chu finally started to get a feel for the gun. Holding the AK, a sense of familiarity quietly emerged.

On this day, Lin Chu scored his first-ever bullseye.

Immediately after, he entered a period of rapid improvement.

In the days that followed, his frequency of hitting bullseyes grew higher and higher.

Naturally, he didn’t neglect the other weapons. He dabbled with pistols, sniper rifles, tanks, and rocket launchers. One instructor even taught him the basic principles of booby trap design.

In his heart, Lin Chu knew that learning all this would most likely be useless.

After all, modern warfare is a confrontation of advanced technologies; there aren’t many scenarios where a lone operative is effective.

Even in solo operations, you’re talking about special forces. Given his training intensity and personal aptitude, reaching that level was truly a pipe dream.

’Maybe with three years of high-intensity, full-time training, I could barely scratch the surface.’

’But then again, I never intended to reach that level.’

’Isn’t this just for fun?’

’I’m a businessman, a ten-billionaire. I don’t have to actually go to war. Even if I mastered a whole set of Dragon Slaying Skills, I’d have no place to use them, and I certainly wouldn’t put myself in harm’s way.’

’As long as I can reach an excellent amateur level, I’ll be perfectly satisfied. What more could I ask for?’

’Learning all this...’

The ”coolest” image that came to mind was just... playfully giving one of his buddies a ”gentle” shoulder throw when they were messing around.

Or, in the summer, taking off his T-shirt, grabbing a cigarette, and holding it with his massive pectoral muscle.

Or, for example, effortlessly lifting his girlfriend with both arms and holding her for at least twenty minutes as she clung to him.

Tsk.

’The flex alone... just thinking about it is intoxicating.’

...

”Brother Chu, what’ve you been up to lately?”

On November 6th, after training for over twenty days and really getting into the swing of things, Lin Chu saw a message from You Shaoqiang before going to bed.

He hadn’t had much contact with the outside world recently. He’d just check in with his core group of ”brothers” to let them know he was safe, occasionally give some remote commands for his businesses, but he was basically a hands-off boss.

He had originally wanted to bring his buddies over to have fun, but they clearly didn’t have the time. They were all busy making money in the stock market, and Hu Ping’an was busy with his shop. They simply couldn’t get away, so he’d let it go.

”Having fun.”

Lin Chu’s reply was concise. Showing off was in his bones. With a top-tier rich kid like You Shaoqiang, talking about money was boring; you had to talk about leisure.

You Shaoqiang: ”...Where are you? Can you take a video call?”

Lin Chu just smiled and called him. He aimed the camera at his lodgings: a wall covered with all sorts of guns and a fireplace where logs were crackling, giving off a real ”wild frontiersman” vibe.

”Huh? Where have you run off to now?”

You Shaoqiang asked again. The scene on the screen visibly stunned him. It definitely wasn’t in China. He wasn’t shocked that Lin Chu had gone abroad, but that he was playing this wild.

”Over in Russia. Booked a military base to get some exercise.”

”If you have time, you should come hang out.”

Lin Chu had a good impression of You Shaoqiang from their time in Dali. He had also attended the opening ceremony of the professional Gold golf tournament, brought a group of his friends, and bought over a dozen memberships at the LC Club. All in all, he’d contributed tens of millions, which Xin Fu had told him about.

This was, of course, a favor owed. After a few of these interactions, Lin Chu felt this was someone he could befriend.

He definitely couldn’t be a core ”brother,” but there was no problem with him being in the next tier of friends.

”Hiss... You’re really something else. I’d love to go, but I honestly can’t get away. The capital market has been absolutely on fire lately.”

”I won’t waste your time, I’ll get to the point. I’ve been eyeing a publicly listed company recently. I want to team up with a group of brothers and hit it from both the primary and secondary markets to take it over. I was wondering if you had any interest?”

”The deal isn’t that big, only about five billion or so, but it’d be our own independent foothold. Haha, the market’s great right now, I don’t want to waste the opportunity.”

Hmm?

This suggestion...

...actually made Lin Chu’s heart stir.

’Take over a publicly listed company?’

...

...
