Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 466: Chapter 285: So In Love

Running through the sea of trees in the snowy plains, Lin Chu felt a heartfelt exhilaration.

It was already 3:42 in the afternoon. The destination marked on the map was still a little over eight kilometers away.

Since this was an ”exercise,” the scenario was highly idealized. There was no need for any reconnaissance; even the ”bandits’” hiding place was already clearly marked.

What he needed to focus on was choosing the right time and plan of action.

’How should I spend the night?’

’What’s the right way to rescue the ”hostage”?’

All of this was a test of his recent training—a multi-faceted game of physical stamina, mental fortitude, and technical skill.

Even now, Lin Chu was still in high spirits.

’It’s like a live-action reality game.’

’Hm?’

’What’s that sound?’

Suddenly, Lin Chu’s ears twitched. He heard the sound of an engine and propellers, mixed with a voice from a loudspeaker, faintly coming from high above.

But the forest was dense with trees, and the sound was too faint to make out what was being said.

His vision was limited; he couldn’t see anything even if he looked up.

’What’s going on?’

Lin Chu was slightly puzzled.

’Even if it’s a plane, it shouldn’t be in this area.’

’Don’t tell me there’s been some kind of accident?’

His communicator was currently on silent by default. After a moment’s thought, Lin Chu immediately turned on his satellite phone, only to find dozens of missed calls, all from Dongnya.

’What the hell?’

In an instant, a light sweat broke out on Lin Chu’s back. According to the ”rules,” she wasn’t allowed to contact him.

And this many calls in such a short time clearly meant something urgent had happened.

He quickly called her back.

”Hello? Hello? Hello?”

On the other end, Dongnya’s breathing was ragged and she spoke rapidly. ”Where are you? Those three men want to kidnap you! I’ve escaped, and I’m coming to find you.”

”I’ve already reported it to base headquarters. A helicopter from the internal affairs department is on its way.”

”Lin Chu?”

She gasped for breath, her voice clear and crisp.

After subduing the three men in her own way, Dongnya had been the first to run out, creating a time gap.

She hadn’t thought of killing all three of them; things hadn’t escalated to that point.

Besides, she had already called for support.

Also, to prevent accidents during this ”assessment,” no one was carrying live ammunition.

So now, all she had to do was find Lin Chu, rendezvous with him, and get on the helicopter to go back. That would be a perfect end to the situation.

As for the rest—the three men—the people from the base, as well as her brother and father back home, would deal with them.

”Where are you?”

”I’m on my way. I’m less than eight kilometers from the target location. How are you doing right now?”

At that moment, upon hearing Dongnya’s words, Lin Chu’s pupils constricted. ’Those three men... wanted to kidnap me?’

The word ”kidnap” alone sent a surge of adrenaline through him, plunging him into a state of being both hot and cold.

His blood ran hot.

His mind was ice-cold.

”I’m fine, I got out. Share your coordinates with me.”

Dongnya let out a long sigh of relief, feeling as if a great weight had finally been lifted from her heart.

No disaster.

Everything was fine.

They shared their coordinates. She had already run some distance, and now they were less than two kilometers apart. They each started running toward the other.

「A dozen or so minutes later.」

Lin Chu saw Dongnya sprinting toward him, her face flushed red. She looked like an elegant deer, her long legs carrying her swiftly over the ground.

”Lin Chu!”

Seeing Lin Chu, she cried out in delight and rushed forward. Her black combat boots went CRUNCH CRUNCH on the snow. When she reached him, she threw her arms wide and hugged him tightly, swallowing hard, her eyes growing a little misty.

Lin Chu hugged her back.

He had already pieced together most of what had happened. ’A kidnapping... that’s genuinely dangerous.’ The embrace felt all the warmer at this moment.

It even made Lin Chu feel a sense of awe and admiration for her.

’I mean...’

’Seriously, this Russian girl is unbelievably tough. One against three, and she still managed to get away. But... how did they even come up with such an idea?’

After hugging for a moment, Lin Chu let go and looked her straight in the eyes.

”What exactly happened?”

Dongnya sniffled and wiped the corners of her eyes. ”Let’s find an open area first and wait for the helicopter. I’ll tell you everything then.”

”Okay.”

The two looked at the map, made another phone call, and headed toward a clearing they had chosen.

”All three of them are bastards, full of malice.”

”First, they were jealous. They were intensely jealous of you. One of them said he wanted to duel you for my sake. But the oldest one, the captain, stopped him. At that point, it was still in the joking stage.”

”Then, as they kept talking, the malice grew. They said I should marry you and give you half my family’s fortune. They also talked about pretending to kidnap me to test you, to see how far you would go.”

”By then, I could already feel something was very wrong. Even though they were framing it as jokes, if a situation like that really happened, there was no guarantee their malice wouldn’t escalate.”

”I used the excuse of going to the bathroom to get out. I took my backpack and didn’t go back. I hid behind the firewood pile in the yard and quickly made a rope snare.”

”The first guy waited a long time and came looking for me when I didn’t return. I ambushed him, knocked him out, and tied him up.”

”That left two in the house. I triggered the snare. The remaining two rushed out together. One got hoisted up by the rope, and I stabbed the other one in the thigh.”
