Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 465: Chapter 284: The Flower of the High Peaks and the Three Bastards, Part 3

She pictured the scene in her head and offered a silent apology. ’I’m sorry. I lied.’

But in the current situation, she knew she couldn’t show any open resistance. It would be too easy to provoke the three men.

She wasn’t completely confident she could take all three of them down with her own skills.

They were all veterans of the regular army. Strictly speaking, they weren’t bad men, and they bore her no ill will, but they had the rough-and-tumble attitude of old soldiers.

Besides, Dongnya knew full well that the evil in human nature can be drawn out.

”Hahahahaha...”

The three men couldn’t help but roar with laughter.

”That’s more like it!”

”If you’re really faced with a situation like that... the important thing is staying alive.”

The young man with the cigarette said with a laugh.

Another man added with a grin, ”Dongnya, you should marry him. You have to! Then you can take half his money, and when you come back, you could even buy this whole base. You’d be our boss then! Hahahaha...”

At this point, the atmosphere was still quite light and cheerful.

Dongnya suppressed her inner discomfort, took a sip of her drink, and joined in with a hearty laugh.

They chatted and laughed for a few more moments.

She stood up. ”I’m going to the restroom.”

She casually picked up a small knife and cut off a piece of meat. Then she took a pack of tissues from her purse. After a moment’s thought, she picked up the purse itself, glanced back at the three men with a smile, and walked out the door.

”No peeking!”

Out here in the frozen wilderness, the only option was to find a spot outside.

”Don’t you question our gentlemanly conduct... Haha! You’d better watch out for hibernating bears in the woods. Just remember to pull up your pants before you run.”

The young man with the cigarette teased her with a grin.

Dongnya turned away and stepped outside, a coldness quietly filling her eyes.

...

The three men sat around the bonfire, continuing to chat, drink, and make crude jokes, letting out sleazy laughs from time to time.

After Dongnya left, Aleksey no longer bothered to correct the young smoker’s comments.

The talk earlier had been mostly in jest, a half-formed idea with no premeditation or prior discussion.

They chatted for a while longer.

”How come she’s not back yet?”

More than ten minutes had passed, and Dongnya still hadn’t returned. ”I’ll go check on her,” the young smoker said casually, getting to his feet with a smile.

He strode toward the door.

Aleksey hesitated for a moment, but he didn’t stop him, simply letting him go.

However, about a minute later, a piercing scream suddenly rang out from outside!

The two men inside were instantly on high alert. They rushed for the door, but just as the other young man stepped outside, he cried out as his foot caught in a snare, and he was instantly yanked into the air.

At the same moment, Aleksey also let out a pained scream.

A small knife had been driven viciously into the back of his thigh. While not a fatal wound, the piercing pain sent him involuntarily to his knees.

”Dongnya!”

”What are you doing?!”

One man was sprawled on the ground, apparently knocked unconscious, his hands bound behind his back.

Another was hanging upside down from a rope, struggling desperately but completely unable to break free.

And the third, with a knife in his leg, could barely move.

Dongnya had already put some distance between herself and them, her eyes watching the three men with an icy gaze. ℯ

”I’ve already reported to the base that the three of you were planning to kidnap Lin Chu.”

”I’ve also called my brother and my father. A helicopter from the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be here within twenty minutes. Don’t worry, you’re not going to die!”

”Just you wait!”

With those parting words, she ran quickly toward the woods. Although her sneak attack had temporarily incapacitated the three men and left them unable to fight back, there could still be other, unforeseen dangers.

’Best to get away first.’

’The three bastards!’
