Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 276: Chapter 210: Who Is the Clown?

”Okay, we’ll leave it at that for now.”

After ending the chat, she turned to Zhou Luan. ”I have to thank you too, Xiaoluan. President Lin just sent me a message. He said they’ve tentatively decided to make me one of the spokespeople.”

Zhou Luan glanced at her, stunned for a moment before quickly offering a congratulatory smile.

But inside, she was shocked.

’So fast?’

’Oh no, Lin Chu is going to hit on her!’

That was her instinctive thought.

Taking a deep breath and pursing her lips, Zhou Luan still gave her a quiet warning, ”The endorsement is a good thing, of course. But we’re sisters, and you’re my idol, so I have to warn you about something. President Lin... he’s a total lecher.”

Surprise flashed in Zhang Zishu’s eyes for a fleeting moment before she smiled. ”Even if he’s a lecher, he won’t be coming after me.”

”Actually, I thought the way he was looking at An’an was pretty strange.”

An Yunzhi: ?

’How did this end up being about me?’

Zhou Luan also turned her head to look at An Yunzhi and suddenly froze.

Just then, An Yunzhi’s phone chimed with a DING-DONG as a message came in.

”Sorry, something urgent really did come up earlier. Did you enjoy the food?”

It was from Lin Chu.

She glanced at the message, then at Zhou Luan, and for a moment, she couldn’t help but feel a little guilty.

Zhou Luan seemed to realize something. ”Is that a message from Lin Chu?”

An Yunzhi pursed her lips and nodded. To ”prove her innocence,” she even showed Zhou Luan her phone.

Zhou Luan: !!!

Immediately after, her own phone began to ring with a voice call.

She took it out and glanced at the screen. Just as she’d expected, it was Lin Chu calling.

”Hey, can you do me a favor and ask your best friend, An Yunzhi, if she’s free tonight? I want to ask her out to dinner. Of course, you’re welcome to come too.”

Lin Chu’s casual, cheerful voice came through the phone.

Zhou Luan was completely floored.

She looked at An Yunzhi in disbelief.

”Can’t you ask her yourself?!”

”Why are you asking me?!”

”I’m not getting involved in this mess!”

Zhou Luan snapped, suddenly feeling like a complete clown. She was tempted to just hang up.

Lin Chu’s voice remained gentle and amused. ”Hey, she’s your best friend, isn’t she? I have to ask for your opinion. A best friend is like a mini mother-in-law, right? Hey, does she have a boyfriend right now?”

Zhou Luan took a deep breath and looked at An Yunzhi again.

An Yunzhi had faintly overheard parts of the call. Seeing the look on Zhou Luan’s face, an indescribable emotion welled up inside her.

Their eyes met.

Zhou Luan abruptly ended the call.

”He wants to ask you out to dinner. He also said I could come and that he was asking for my opinion.”

Regaining her ”defiant optimism,” Zhou Luan put on an air of indifference, even looking at An Yunzhi with something like a smile as she spoke.

Seeing that expression, An Yunzhi knew at once that something was wrong. Zhou Luan was clearly upset but was pretending to be strong.

”Of course I’m not going.”

She gently took Zhou Luan’s hand.

”No, don’t be like that. You should go. He’s asking *you* out. Go for it!”

Patting An Yunzhi on the shoulder, Zhou Luan gave her a broad smile. ”I approve. No problem.”

An Yunzhi said, ”Xiaoluan, what are you doing? Don’t be like this.”

”Hm? I’m not doing anything. Someone else is asking you out. What’s it got to do with me?”

Seeing her words grow increasingly bitter, her emotions more volatile, and her temper fouler, An Yunzhi felt helpless. ”Calm down. This has nothing to do with me.”

Seeing her like this, Zhou Luan’s heart softened a little, but she was still fuming.

”Fine, I’ll calm down. I’m going to go calm down right now.”

”Excuse me!”

She turned and left in a huff.
