Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 270: Chapter 209: Gathering of Elites, Meeting of Beauties

August 20th.

The LC Club Gold Old Friends Tournament officially began.

Due to venue and scheduling conflicts, it was held separately from the professional Gold Tournament.

The Old Friends Tournament would start first while the Gold Tournament was being prepared. By the time the Old Friends Tournament reached its later, more high-stakes matches, it would run parallel to the professional tournament and even coincide with its opening ceremony.

There were over three hundred old members in total, and 178 of them signed up to participate.

A standard golf course has 18 holes—four par-3s, ten par-4s, and four par-5s—for a total standard score of 72 strokes.

The LC Club had a total of eight courses and 144 holes, so it could easily accommodate everyone.

Lin Chu was quite satisfied with this tournament format.

He wouldn’t be participating in the tournament himself, though.

’Honestly, my golf skills are... terrible.’

’I’m not going up there to make a fool of myself.’

’It would be pretty disgraceful for the owner of a golf course to get completely thrashed by someone.’

’A mature man needs to know where his strengths lie.’

Although the lineup for the Old Friends Tournament opening ceremony wasn’t as grand as the one being prepared for the professional tournament, it was still put together with care.

A festive atmosphere filled the entire club today.

For the opening ceremony guest, Lin Chu had taken Zhou Luan’s suggestion and invited her idol, the ”Violent Loli,” Zhang Zishu.

She was also a ”golf goddess” beloved by many in the group chat.

Of course, for Lin Chu, the most important reason was—she was free.

At Zhou Luan’s invitation, she had already registered for the professional tournament. Since she was also a Peng City local, her appearance today wasn’t a commercial gig but a friendly visit.

So...

Lin Chu naturally had no reason to refuse.

’That girl Zhou Luan is quite the social butterfly.’

’It’s only been a few days, and she’s already able to pull strings like this.’

’Of course, part of it is also thanks to the club’s reputation.’

Besides Zhang Zishu, there were various other guests and some local Peng City Celebrities. Li Ziming was in charge of these arrangements. It hadn’t cost much, as most were attending as a favor, so Lin Chu didn’t pay it much mind.

At the opening ceremony.

Lin Chu was chatting with Huang Yuan, Hu Ping’an, and a few other old members, but his gaze kept drifting to one side.

There weren’t many female members signed up for the Old Friends Tournament—fewer than ten—but they were all surprisingly attractive. Even the women in their forties were very well-maintained, exuding the charm of maturity.

Especially at an event like this, it was like their own personal runway show.

Next to Zhou Luan, on her left, was Zhang Zishu.

Honestly, she truly deserved to be called a goddess. She wasn’t particularly tall, but she had an athletic build. The ”loli” part of her nickname came from her delicate, youthful features—a fair, tender face smaller than the palm of his hand, seemingly untouched by the sun’s UV rays despite her outdoor sport.

On Zhou Luan’s right was another woman who could be called a ”goddess.”

Even though the term ”goddess” was completely overused these days, Lin Chu still felt that this woman was, indeed, absolutely, without a doubt, the real deal.

She was that best friend of Zhou Luan’s, the one whose father was at the very top. He had seen her on the security footage before, but seeing her in person now was even more stunning.

Her aura, in particular, was extraordinary. Her back was perfectly straight, her neck long and slender. She walked with a steady, unhurried pace and smiled without showing her teeth. Even now, dressed in a tracksuit, with her hair in a ponytail and wearing a cap, she still drew a great deal of attention.

Aura was a mysterious thing, but it was very real and had to be cultivated through daily life, day after day.

She was the most ”aristocratic” woman Lin Chu had ever met.

Even though she was probably still a student, her presence was comparable to a supermodel’s.

The three of them stood among the group of female members, chatting and smiling brightly about something.

As if sensing someone was watching, Zhou Luan glanced over, saw Lin Chu, and then pointed in his direction. She said something with a smile to her two friends, and they both broke into grins, showing their white teeth.

Lin Chu saw this and guessed they probably weren’t saying anything nice about him.

So, he nonchalantly looked away.

’What was that saying again?’

—When you meet a girl you think is pretty, don’t be too hasty. Maybe her best friend is even prettier.

Everything proceeded according to plan. The opening ceremony concluded, and the tournament officially began.

Many of the old members were watching the matches and cheering for friends they knew. Lin Chu watched for a little while before losing interest.

Honestly, the skill level of the Old Friends Tournament wasn’t very high. It was mostly just for fun and camaraderie.

The sun was getting a bit strong, and his back was soaked with sweat. Lin Chu nonchalantly boarded a shuttle cart and headed toward the club exit.

’My job here is done.’

’The rest is up to them.’

...

”@Lin Chu [Image attached]”

”I’m here at the LC Club today for the Old Friends Tournament President Lin is hosting! The atmosphere here is amazing. Too bad I’m not in Peng City often and wasn’t a member before, otherwise I’d have loved to join in.”

Looking at his phone in the shuttle cart, Lin Chu was surprised to see that Li Fangfei, from his MBA group chat, had posted a picture from the event. It had been sent over half an hour ago.

And the group was already buzzing with conversation about it.

Heh.

’This woman is pretty sharp and proactive. She’s already making her move.’

’She seems to be from Shanghai, but as a celebrity, she must travel all over the country. And now with her MBA classes, she’ll probably be in Peng City for a long time to come.’

Lin Chu thought for a moment, then replied with a mischievous grin: ”@Li Fangfei, we welcome our big star to come and inspect our work. It would be even better if you could grace us with some business.”
