Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 263: Chapter 206: Is Today Catfight Day?

They’re guests of the club, after all.

’Still,’ she thought, ’a sliver of anticipation grew within her. They’ll be heading to the jewelry counter soon. Maybe, just maybe, I can close a sale?’

The showroom had just been set up, and the displays weren’t even finished. She hadn’t done any major promotions for it, and so far, she hadn’t made a single sale.

’Since I’m here, and there are customers, closing a sale would be a great way to kick things off.’

She pricked up her ears and continued to listen in.

The mother and daughter’s subsequent conversation drifted clearly to her ears.

”Meili, this boyfriend of yours certainly has some good ideas. The spending power of the golf club’s clientele and these luxury goods are definitely a good match in terms of style.”

”Ask him if he’s free today. We can all have a meal together later.”

This was what the ”mother” said.

Yang Huixian’s heart suddenly skipped a beat.

’Boyfriend?’

’Which boyfriend?’

Two suspects immediately surfaced in her mind. One was Vice President Ma Lin; the second, naturally, was Lin Chu.

When a man starts coming home less frequently, it’s like the hot water from the tap is running low—it definitely means you aren’t the only one using it.

Yang Huixian could feel her heart begin to beat a little faster.

’This mother and daughter are clearly wealthy, respectable people.’

As she was thinking this, she heard the ”daughter” say, ”Okay, I’ll send him a message. But we came here secretly this time and haven’t told him yet. We can surprise him later.”

”Mom, isn’t this... um, a little fast?”

Liao Meili said, a little shyly. She was quite concerned about what Lin Chu would think, as this was basically ”meeting the parents.”

”Think of it as an informal meeting! I’m a customer, here to get a club membership. I’ll just see him in passing and we’ll have a meal together, that’s all.”

Liao Haixiang said with a doting tone.

Hearing all this...

The nearby caddy also seemed to vaguely realize something and, for a moment, his attitude toward the two women became even more respectful.

Yang Huixian felt her heart beat faster and faster.

Her suspicion was becoming more and more certain.

’It’s probably him!’

’Lin Chu!’

The fingers of her long, slender left hand squeezed her right forearm so tightly that the delicate blue veins on the back of her hand faintly stood out.

But a sense of helplessness began to creep into her heart.

’If it really is Lin Chu, what... what should I do?’

’Am I supposed to make a scene right here and now?’

’That would be so undignified.’

’What about all this merchandise?’

’If our relationship falls apart, the business will obviously fall apart with it. All my previous efforts will have been for nothing.’

’What about those two raw Jadeite stones?’

’Lin Chu bought them for over two hundred million. Even if I wanted to take them off his hands, I don’t have that kind of money.’

’And... what about me?’

Yang Huixian swallowed hard, her lips pressed into a thin line as she stood frozen in place.

She could even feel a faint panic creeping in.

...

「At that moment.」

In the office.

Lin Chu glanced at the message on his phone from Gao Haitao.

”President Lin, I just saw Ms. Liao and her mother walk into the club’s main hall. She came directly from home today. The guy we assigned to be her driver wasn’t aware.”

”Ms. Yang is also in the main hall, setting up the showroom.”

”They’re very close to each other now, by the Xiangyun Sha counter. Ms. Yang probably overheard what Ms. Liao and her mother were talking about. I saw her body tense up; she seems to have realized something.”

”What should I do?”

Huh?

’This message...’

For a split second, Lin Chu felt his own heart pound violently.

Fuck!

He took a deep breath, glanced at Zhu Yizhen across from him, and saw that his teacup was empty. Lin Chu refilled it for him.

Just then, his phone buzzed with another message.

It was from Liao Meili.

”Honey, I have to tell you something! My mom came to the club to get a membership, and we’re in the main hall right now. She said she wants to have a meal with you. Are you free?”

Seeing this message, Lin Chu lit a cigarette. His sharp Adam’s apple bobbed as he drained his teacup in one gulp and stood up.

”President Zhu, something has come up. Please excuse me.”

’Shit, if this whole thing really blows up in the club’s showroom, I’ll be utterly humiliated. What will the vice presidents think of me? The managers? The employees?’

’Besides, neither of these two women is to be trifled with. Both come from powerful families and have their own tempers. They might act sweet and docile with me normally, but on a fundamental issue like this...’

’If the two of them really start fighting...’

Just imagining the scene made Lin Chu’s stomach clench.

’What the hell is today?!’

’National Catfight Day?!’
