Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 256: Chapter 204: The Prestige of ”1.8 Billion Brother

’I’ve thought of a few options.’

’Option 1: Allow membership transfers, but don’t let ”newcomers” participate in the Gold Old Friends Tournament. Or, let them participate, but they won’t be ranked.’

’The upside is that it won’t affect the tournament itself, but some of the older members will definitely have a problem with it.’

’Option 2: Secretly hire my own experts. Fight fire with fire, get into an arms race, and maybe even turn a profit off them.’

’The upside is that it would perfectly solve the problem and even make some money. The downside is that in a battle of skill, there’s always a chance of losing. Plus, if it gets exposed as a setup... my reputation would be ruined.’

’Option 3: Haven’t figured it out yet...’

’But the general idea is to lure them in, foil their ”conspiracy,” and come out with both fame and fortune, all while leaving everyone with nothing to complain about.’

With the car window down, the wind rushed in, cooling Lin Chu and leaving his mind frighteningly calm.

’An issue like this isn’t enough to shake my composure.’

’I’ve developed some real self-control, after all.’

’I just need to come up with a more sophisticated plan.’

In reality, from his perspective, he’d get a rebate no matter who won the prize money. There was no way for him to lose.

The only thing he needed to consider was the club’s reputation.

Tsk.

No one had ever held this kind of tournament before, so there was no existing experience to draw from.

’But this is only the first one. By the second, I’ll be used to it.’

Mulling this over, Lin Chu arrived at the club before he knew it.

Just as he was about to arrive, he received another message from Xin Fu.

”President Lin, I’ve found out who these two are. Just as we thought, they’re top-tier experts. One is a Chinese-American named Yuan Cheng, a reserve member of the US national golf team. He hasn’t competed in any public tournaments yet, but he’s incredibly skilled. He’s probably using our event as a warm-up. At his level, none of our old members stand a chance against him.”

”The other one is local, from Peng City. His name is Dou Xiaobin. He placed 4th in the Asia Amateur Championship two years ago. Another powerhouse.”

”I’m talking to them now. The two old members are here as well. One is from the 60,000-yuan tier with five months left on his membership, the other is from the 600,000-yuan tier with three months left. They’re both calm for now, but they’re constantly pressuring me.”

Lin Chu glanced at the message and replied, ”Ten minutes out.”

’Son of a bitch.’

’They actually found two pros like that.’

’On the course, it’ll be an absolute slaughter. No doubt about it.’

’And I still don’t know how many more people like them there are.’

’If I let this slide, more people will flood in, and the experience for the remaining old members will be completely ruined.’

’Who wants to get treated like a rookie and be crushed?’

’And by some random rookie who came out of nowhere, no less.’

’They have no personal connection, no relationship with anyone here. They’re just in it for the prize money.’

’If the old members get crushed, the club will naturally take the blame. We’re the organizers; it would mean our system was poorly designed.’

”Hello, President Lin.”

When Lin Chu arrived in the club lobby, a female employee from the sales department was waiting for him right at the entrance.

”President Xin is in the lounge, talking with the four guests. Would you like to go over now?”

”Let’s go.”

Lin Chu glanced at her, smiled relaxedly, and started walking toward the lounge.

Her eyes had been filled with anxiety.

She understood how troublesome this situation was.

However, seeing Lin Chu’s calm and composed demeanor now, a sense of reassurance suddenly bloomed within her.

’The sky isn’t falling.’

...

「The Lounge」

Xin Fu was currently making small talk with the four of them over tea.

One of the old members was already showing signs of impatience.

”President Xin, it’s just a normal membership transfer. Can’t we just get it done?”

”We’ll follow the standard procedure and pay the 20% transfer fee. As for whether they can participate in the Gold Old Friends Tournament, isn’t that just a matter of the club giving the word?”

”You have the final say on everything, after all.”

”What’s so difficult about it?”

He urged, his tone still polite, but the pressure he was applying was real.

Xin Fu smiled steadily. ”President Li, no need to rush. Are you really not planning to renew this year? That’s quite a shame. Although we’ve raised our membership prices this year, the services and benefits for all our members have also increased significantly.”

”Let me give you a more detailed overview.”

As a seasoned ace salesman, stalling for time was no challenge for Xin Fu. He continued speaking with a grin, his composure completely unshaken.

This client, President Li, gave him a deep look, a hint of helplessness on his face.

But he continued to wait.

He knew they were all waiting for the young big boss of LC Club. To be fair, he knew what he was doing wasn’t exactly honorable, especially since he had just received a 500,000-yuan gold-plated putter.

’But, a yearly membership with three months left, originally worth 600,000, is now being offered 1.2 million for by someone else. There’s really no reason to refuse.’

’I’m the customer!’

’And the customer is God!’

’So what if it’s a club? Is the club going to stop me from making money?’

’Young man, if you want to be in this business, you have to be prepared to pay the price.’

’Time to teach this young boss a lesson!’

The lounge door was pushed open.

Lin Chu strode in, exuding an air of decisive action.

After entering, his gaze swept across the room. With a smirk, he asked, ”How much are they paying you for the transfer?”

Instantly, the entire lounge fell completely silent.

Xin Fu’s Adam’s apple bobbed.

’Boss, why are you escalating things so quickly?’

Just as he was about to say something, Lin Chu spoke again.

”The club is open for business, and we have no reason to refuse a customer. But since you’re here with malicious intent, don’t blame me for not playing by the rules. Speak! How much are they paying you for the transfer!”
