Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

197: Only I have the right to eat the food my wife cooks.Gu Jie and the others hurriedly looked toward the road. A Rolls-Royce Phantom rapidly approached, cutting through the accumulated snow on the street and crashing into the enemies at the gate.

”Ah, turn around and get out of the way!” The sound of the speeding car alerted the enemies, and everyone inside their vehicles instantly panicked.

However, it was too late. No matter how fast they turned, they couldn’t outrun a sports car.

Luo Sen sped forward in the sports car, deliberately kicking up the white snow on the ground to obscure the enemies’ Chimera car. The enemies inside were instantly blinded. Then, as the two cars passed each other, Si Nan pulled the trigger of her sniper rifle, blowing up the Chimera car with a single shot.

The next second: ”Boom!”

The Chimera car was blown apart, its fragments scattering everywhere. Most of the enemies inside were killed instantly, while a few were thrown into the air, only to be ”kindly” caught by the waiting zombie horde upon landing.

Two or three survivors lay on the ground, twitching half-dead, but they were also picked up by the ”kind” zombies. They were immediately given ”hugs and kisses” before being torn apart with a sickening ”rip” sound.

The Rolls-Royce came to a steady stop at the main gate. Si Nan and Luo Sen had dealt with all the enemies without even stepping out of the car.

Director Lin couldn’t believe it. ”It’s settled just like that?”

Gu Jie smiled easily. ”What did you expect? These people are enemies to us, but they’re just ants to them. Hurry up and open the gate.”

Luo Sen drove the Rolls-Royce all the way to the front door before stopping. Gu Jie and The Three Building Owners ran after them, only reaching the car just as Si Nan and Luo Sen were stepping out.

Gu Jie was the first to speak. ”You’re finally back. The Three Building Owners and I split into four groups to personally inspect every room. We found 77 Property Ownership Certificates from overlooked houses, and all the corpses in the rooms and the Residential Area have been cleared.”

Mao Xin added, ”It’s just that the ground polluted by the zombies hasn’t been fully cleaned yet. That will take some time. Fortunately, when the zombies attacked the Residential Area, there was already a thick layer of white snow on the ground, which blocked a lot of the black blood.

But just to be safe, we won’t overlook a single inch of land and will conduct strict inspections.”

Director Lin said, ”All the doors and windows of the houses have been closed, and we’ve found ways to block the damaged ones. They won’t fall into ruin just because no one is living in them.”

Finally, Ge Yue said, ”Sister Nan, Brother Sen, our ammunition is running low. We need a couple of weapons with a longer range.”

Si Nan understood. ”Mhm, you’ve done well. Everyone has worked hard while Luo Sen and I were away. Wait a moment.”

She reached into the car, pretending to grab something, and pulled out two sniper rifles and a small box of bombs. ”Use these to blast the enemies in the future, but be careful not to damage the walls we worked so hard to build.”

”Hahaha, great! That’s for sure. How could we destroy the fruits of our labor? With these, we won’t have to fear the enemies outside anymore.”

Gu Jie took the sniper rifles and distributed the bombs to the four security rooms in the Residential Area.

Luo Sen reminded him, ”Make sure they know how to use the bombs. We don’t want them failing to kill the enemy and hurting our own people instead.”

”Of course. I’ll have the five of them teach everyone.” Gu Jie nodded, fondling the sniper rifle, unable to put it down. He hadn’t touched one of these in many years.

Si Nan scanned the surroundings. The white snow had been cleared, and the Residential Area’s appearance was restored. Once the soil polluted by the black blood was cleaned and the weather got a bit warmer, they could start planting vegetables and crops.

She asked Director Lin, ”Now tell me, which housing developments are those outside enemies from? What are their strongest weapons? How many of them are there?”

At the mention of this, Director Lin and the others grew angry. ”They came from the nearby Rising Sun Bay, Dream Home, and Country Garden, all the way to the further Grand Horizon and Lanshan Villa.

Moreover, they’ve colluded with each other, planning to join forces to take over our Residential Area. Once successful, they intend to divide it into their own territories and not interfere with each other.”

”How do you know this so clearly?” Si Nan squinted at Director Lin.

Director Lin said, ”That’s what they were shouting and cursing during their first attack. They also said they hoped there would be more beauties in the Residential Area, and and—”

Director Lin glanced at Si Nan and didn’t dare to continue.

”And what else?” Luo Sen gritted his teeth, already furious.

Director Lin and the others were startled.

Gu Jie spoke up, ”It’s because those amazing videos of Sister Nan were uploaded to the internet and seen by these people. They were speaking disrespectfully about Sister Nan. I already shot that person.

But I believe there’s someone behind them. These people might act tough, but they’re just low-level cannon fodder. The real big fish behind the scenes is still hiding in one of those five Residential Areas.

And their weaponry definitely isn’t just the ten or so light machine guns those cannon fodder were holding. I suspect they also have high-firepower, long-range weapons like sniper rifles.”

Si Nan took out the courtyard key and said with her back to Gu Jie and the others, ”That would be for the best. If they didn’t have anything I’m interested in, it would be a waste for Luo Sen and me to personally go over and wipe them out.”

Gu Jie and the others: ”...”

They collectively observed a moment of silence for the people in those five Residential Areas. Offending their Big Sister and Big Brother would not end well!

Luo Sen opened the car door and handed out the food inside to Gu Jie and the others, along with a large box of fresh eggs.

Mao Xin held them in his arms, terrified of dropping them, his movements cautious and his eyes welling up with emotion.

How many days had it been? How long since they had seen an egg? They had almost forgotten what eggs tasted like.

Before the Apocalypse, these were the most ordinary things in every household, and people were even sick of them. Usually, he wouldn’t even look at a plain boiled egg and would only eat tea eggs.

But once the Apocalypse arrived, all nutritional items vanished along with the beautiful world.

Seeing eggs again now—he really wanted to cry. Sister Nan hadn’t just found so many eggs; she had given them so many at once.

They didn’t know that Yunshu Mountain Villa was raising two thousand chickens. Si Nan hadn’t told them anything about Yunshu Mountain Villa to avoid unnecessary trouble.

Gu Jie only knew of the existence of Yunshu Mountain Villa but had no idea what was inside.

”Look at you guys, there’s more. Braised Chicken and Braised Fish. Follow Sister Nan well, and there will be plenty of good things to eat.”

Luo Sen placed two large containers of prepared dishes on top of the egg box in Mao Xin’s arms. These were specially made by Bai Rong and Xiao Wen under Si Nan’s instructions, allowing Luo Sen to take the opportunity to praise his wife profusely.

”Mhm, mhm, mhm, of course, definitely.” Seeing the Braised Chicken and Braised Fish, Gu Jie and Director Lin also crowded around. My goodness, a feast!

”Sister Nan knows we have trouble with water, so she prepared everything for us. This is so thoughtful.” The three grown men were almost drooling.

Luo Sen smiled but said nothing. ”Keep dreaming. You want to eat and expect Nan Nan to cook for you?”

”In your dreams! Get lost! Only I have the right to eat the food my wife makes!”
