Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

165: They can also use violence to suppress violence. The people from Unit S swarmed around the three. It was only then that the three hotheads realized their fear. ”Ah, what are you doing? I’m a resident here, ah!”

The three were lifted by hundreds of people and unceremoniously thrown out of the Residential Area’s main gate.

Si Nan listened to the screams from behind her, feeling extremely pleased. These people were quite realistic, to curry favor with her, their meal ticket, they personally threw their companions to the zombies.

Less than a minute later, the three were gone, leaving only a few patches of blood at the entrance. Si Nan scanned everyone’s faces; there was no guilt. Good, let today’s lesson be ingrained so they will be obedient in the future.

The Three Building Owners arrived. ”Sister Nan, what do you think?”

Si Nan waved her hand. ”Get to work, but I hope this is the first and last time. If such a thing happens again, don’t blame me for being cruel and heartless.”

”It won’t happen, we promise.” The Three Building Owners pledged in unison.

Si Nan didn’t believe that statement. ”Let the facts speak for themselves.”

”Let’s go, start working. From today on, we’ll work overtime, taking turns to rest, and build the wall as soon as possible. The zombies outside are too terrifying.”

”Agree to work overtime.” Everyone said in unison.

Having not returned for a week, these people were indeed almost dying of thirst. Si Nan gave them several buckets of well water.

Gu Jie proactively found two electricians and brought a generator to power the construction site for cutting.

Indeed, efficiency was much higher today. The four main gates of the Residential Area were heightened and reinforced first, and even the damaged guardroom was repaired.

For long-term consideration, Si Nan didn’t hesitate to transform the four guardrooms into four sturdy iron cages.

Gu Jie originally planned to arrange strong young people to take turns guarding, but many elderly people enthusiastically signed up. They said they couldn’t do heavy work, but they could guard the gates.

Finally, with Si Nan’s approval, two elderly people paired with one young person formed a shift, operating in two shifts, with material distribution the same as everyone else. This made the idle elderly very happy; they were useful again and could receive food.

The women were not idle either. Si Nan arranged for them to clear out each household, ensuring no insect-breeding items were left when spring warmed up, finding house keys, and closing all doors and windows.

Aside from the occupied rooms in these three Unit S, all empty rooms were guaranteed not to be wasted. Si Nan thought they would be of great use in the later stages of the Apocalypse.

After everything was settled, Si Nan returned to the back of the courtyard, looked up at the two impaled on the steel rod, who had long been dead, their bodies frozen stiff.

Luo Sen pulled the two down and threw them over the Residential Area wall. The sound of them hitting the ground was a crisp, delightful crackle of ice shards.

After returning to the room and sitting down to rest, Luo Sen asked Si Nan, ”You didn’t let me kill those three, and you wasted so much time talking to them, just so you wouldn’t be the bad guy first, and let them learn to deal with their own people themselves?”

Si Nan nodded. ”Yes, after all, there are over three hundred people, and it’s impossible for everyone to be completely convinced. I originally wanted to just kill those three, but then I thought, why should we do it ourselves?

They can also use violence to control violence, and it’s good for them to learn how to handle similar situations. Didn’t it get resolved?”

Luo Sen agreed. ”Your approach is good, but those people aren’t necessarily all good, nor are they necessarily innocent.”

”You’re right, precisely because they’re not necessarily innocent, I couldn’t be bothered to act. Let’s just watch what happens next. If similar incidents occur again, I don’t think they’ll have the nerve to beg me like they did today.

Moreover, even if they want to beg me, they’d have to find me first. If we stay at Yunshu Mountain Villa for ten days to half a month without returning, can they still survive?

Even if some survive, how many? Our disappearance and absence are the most terrifying thing for them.”

”Hahaha, Nan Nan is smart. You lie down and rest, I’ll go cook for you. After dinner, you’re not allowed to do anything but sleep. I’ll make some small modifications to the small villa.”

Luo Sen brought a thick blanket and covered Si Nan, then turned to light the fireplace. Afterward, he went to the kitchen and tied on an apron, truly stepping into the role of a husband.

Si Nan smiled at him for a few seconds, then lowered her head to check her phone. It was Ma Bufan again: ”Oh no, Sister Nan, there are still many horses kept behind the racetrack. More than half have starved to death, and the rest are barely alive, skeletal.”

”What? Horses? Why didn’t I hear any horses neighing?” Si Nan sat up excitedly.

On the other end, Ma Bufan said, ”They’re all too weak to even stand, let alone neigh. Sister Nan, I’ll send you pictures; they’re so pitiful.”

Soon, several pictures of horses lying weakly on the ground were sent, looking like they were about to breathe their last and meet the King of Hell.

Si Nan got excited. ”Hahaha, what are we waiting for? Hurry and feed them! Cook several pots of porridge, sprinkle some horse feed in it for them to eat. They’re just hungry; they can still be saved!”

”Mhm, mhm, the porridge is simmering. To keep them from dying, Sister Xiao Wen dissolved half a bottle of vitamins in several buckets of warm water for them to drink. It’s a pity there’s no hay, otherwise we could give them some first.”

”Go look, there must be horse feed.”

Luo Sen suddenly walked over with a potato. ”What’s making you so happy?”

”Hahaha, look, there are even live horses in Cloud Villa, but unfortunately, more than half have starved or frozen to death.” Si Nan showed the photos to Luo Sen.

Luo Sen laughed. ”It doesn’t matter if they’re dead; we’ll have beef to eat.”

”Oh my, it has to be you; I was thinking the same thing.” Si Nan was overjoyed; her assets had increased again, so much so that she ate an extra bowl of rice.

Three days later, the Residential Area wall was fully completed, more than doubled in height, reinforced with two thick layers of steel inside and out, and its base was thickly poured with cement, ensuring even a car couldn’t knock it down.

On the outside, all trees near the wall were cut down at the roots and brought back to the Residential Area for firewood.

Inside, all households had been inspected. Apart from scattered residents in three unit buildings, there were no others. Si Nan supplied electricity to all scattered residents for two hours each at noon and evening daily.

That added up to four hours, enough for everyone to cook and charge their phones.

That evening, Si Nan received a message from Ji Yan: ”The rescue helicopter will arrive at the city center around 12 PM tomorrow, to rescue a group of second-generation rich and some other people. The number is quite large, so it might not be possible to deliver Jian Bing to your area. Prepare to receive him.”

Si Nan replied, ”Okay, wait for me. You might have to take more people.”

She thought that there were many elderly, weak, sick, disabled, and pregnant people in the Residential Area, and it might be better for them to go to the safe zone. She immediately relayed this message to The Three Building Owners:

”Just received reliable news that an official rescue aircraft will arrive tomorrow. This is a rare opportunity; you can all go to the safe zone. Be quick, count the number of people, and report it to me as soon as possible.”

As soon as The Three Building Owners relayed this good news, all three buildings erupted.
