Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

163: Kill them all, leaving no one alive. However, as soon as the Armored Vehicle drove into the gate of the Residential Area, the sound of a firefight broke out. Gu Jie and his five men, along with Director Lin and Mao Xin, the two building leaders, were clashing with a group of strangers. The leading Middle-aged Man held a gleaming Boning Knife, his fatty face twitching as he cursed.

”Gu Jie, you worthless thing! What kind of benefits did that little woman give you to make a grown man like you willing to risk your life for her? Did she let you—ah, my arm?!”

Luo Sen suddenly appeared, cutting off the Middle-aged Man’s insults toward Si Nan, along with his entire arm. The severed limb flew into the air, blood sprayed, and the man screamed while clutching his stump.

Before the Middle-aged Man could finish his scream, Luo Sen grabbed the Boning Knife as it fell toward the ground and slashed through the air. The man’s scream stopped abruptly as his head flew off amidst a spray of blood, and his corpse crashed to the ground.

”Kill!”

Gu Sha saw that Si Nan and Luo Sen had returned, and his confidence surged. He swung the Baton in his hand to intercept the enemies. It all happened so fast that before the enemy could react, he spun the Baton once at his side and knocked down several of them with a single blow.

”Kill! Surround these sons of bitches! Leave no one alive and make sure they never return!” Director Lin and Mao Xin looked at Si Nan and Luo Sen as if they were stars in the sky. Now that their two pillars of support were back, what was there to fear?

Meanwhile, Si Nan parked the Armored Vehicle by the roadside and walked over slowly. Just then, a young man rushed toward her, and she dealt with him with a wave of her hand.

”Roar—” At that moment, the zombie horde outside the Residential Area became active, and they began to charge inside.

”This is bad, quickly throw all the bodies out!” Si Nan shouted. Even with Luo Sen there, she was afraid. First, she feared Luo Sen’s identity might be exposed; second, she feared Luo Sen wouldn’t be able to stop these starving zombies.

”Quick, quick, quick! Everyone, move!” There weren’t many enemies left, so they were left to Gu Jie and his men. Director Lin and Mao Xin shouted for everyone to quickly pick up the corpses on the ground and throw them out the gate together.

”Roar~” Sure enough, when the corpses landed in the middle of the horde, the zombies that were about to rush in stopped and turned back to fight over the bodies.

”It’s working! Quick, throw them all out!” Seeing that they had successfully stopped the zombies from invading, Director Lin and Mao Xin hurriedly threw the remaining corpses out one by one.

At the same time, they locked the gate of the Residential Area to prevent the zombie horde from breaking through.

Soon, whether they were alive or dead, all the enemies were thrown out. The shrill screams terrified the survivors upstairs so much that they didn’t even dare to peek out.

Once everything was settled, Luo Sen signaled for everyone to stay. His grey-blue eyes scanned the crowd, but he didn’t find the faces he had seen in the surveillance footage. So, he told Mao Xin to take some people to Unit S to carry Ge Yue over and call everyone else down as well.

”What happened?” Gu Jie asked Si Nan.

”You’ll know in a moment.” Si Nan sat in the security room with a cold sneer, pointing at the glass door that had been broken by zombies earlier. ”Make sure to fix it today. All four entrance gates must be repaired, heightened, and reinforced to ensure that neither zombies nor enemies can climb in.

The materials are at my place. Come and get them from me later.

After that, our people will take turns guarding the four gates 24 hours a day. I’ll leave this to you. Without permission from me or Luo Sen, no strangers are allowed in!”

”But the Residential Area has no power, and our phones don’t work. How can we notify you if there’s an emergency?” Gu Jie said, troubled.

Si Nan glanced at him and said nonchalantly, ”If we can clear out all the rabble before dark today so that only our people are left, I will provide electricity.”

”Alright, definitely!” Gu Jie and Director Lin were so moved they almost burst into tears. Life without electricity was truly unbearable. The Child was scared to death of the dark, and they only had a short stub of a candle that they didn’t even dare to light.

Soon, ”Everyone from Unit S, as well as our people from Unit M and Unit O, are here. Whatever instructions you two leaders have, just let us know.” Mao Xin had called everyone from the three buildings.

Si Nan looked around. Most were elderly, weak, sick, disabled, or pregnant. Less than half were truly strong and able to work. Since this was the reality, she could only make the best of what she had.

Being called down all at once for the first time, many people were afraid, especially those who were elderly, weak, sick, disabled, or pregnant. Before Si Nan could speak, an old man spoke up first:

”Don’t look at us like we’re old; we can still do heavy work. We exercise in our rooms every day and haven’t been idle.

These past few days, we’ve been moving bricks, boiling water, mixing cement, and building walls. Please don’t cut our food rations; we can work!”

”Yes, yes, leader, please don’t cut our food. We know you work hard and face danger searching for food outside, but we only eat two meals a day now.

And the two meals we bring back are only enough for one person’s labor. When we get home, we have to share it with the Child and our Spouse. Not much actually makes it into our stomachs.”

”Please, just don’t cut our food rations. We’ll work hard; it’s fine if we have to work an extra two hours every day.”

Director Lin, Mao Xin, and Ge Yue, who had just been carried before Si Nan, all looked at her helplessly.

Sigh, this made Si Nan’s original decision to punish them waver. From the perspective of these people, aside from those few individuals, they were indeed innocent. But who could guarantee there were no instigators or masterminds among them?

In her previous life, she had already caused the deaths of herself and Luo Sen because of a moment of soft-heartedness and misplaced kindness. In this life, she could not repeat the same mistake!

Thinking of this, Si Nan picked up from where the two elderly people left off. ”First, don’t make it sound so pitiful or like I’m heartless. I’ve issued two meals’ worth of food to everyone who put in effort, exactly as we discussed before.

The reason nothing was issued these past few days is that Luo Sen and I encountered powerful enemies and a powerful Zombie Beast while searching for supplies outside. We almost didn’t make it back.

A Zombie Dog is larger than a tiger, and a Zombie Cat is as big as a normal large dog. They can fly when they jump and kill a person with a single swipe of a claw.

If it were you, let alone the countless zombies outside, could you even deal with those supply searchers who carry machine guns and shoot anyone they see?

I’ve already done everything humanly possible by supporting you, let alone so many of you. Look at yourselves, a massive crowd. Have you ever calculated how much food it takes to feed everyone for a day?

Two meals a day per person. With 371 people from our three buildings, that’s 742 portions of food. 742 portions! Do you have any idea what that means?

Yet when it comes to you, all I hear is that I’m stingy. You only count the portion you receive; why has no one helped me do the math?

Calculate how long Luo Sen and I have been leaving early and returning late, risking our lives. Calculate how many zombies we’ve encountered on the way back and forth. How many other searchers have we run into?

How many gunshots have we endured? How many enemies have blocked us, wanting me and this Armored Vehicle?

The only reason we can find food now is because of this Armored Vehicle. Without it, let alone two meals a day, you wouldn’t even be able to leave the gate of this Residential Area.

You’re already incredibly lucky to be alive, yet you’re arguing with me over this? If you’re so capable, go out and search for supplies yourselves. Heightening and reinforcing the walls isn’t just for me.

To tell you the truth, if we aren’t fast enough and can’t build the walls according to the blueprints as quickly as possible, what awaits you is being devoured by the zombie horde and Beast Tide outside.

You saw it for yourselves just now. They’ve been starving for a long time and are desperate to eat people.”

Even after Si Nan said all this, someone was still defiant. It was one of the young men who had secretly climbed the wall to attack her home:

”Why say such harsh things? The two elders were just showing their loyalty and suggesting not to cut the two meals anymore. They didn’t say anything else.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the Military Knife in Luo Sen’s hand flew out, beheading him in a single strike!
