Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

191: Preparing for the Late ApocalypseFor now, I’ll try a two-pronged approach. When we go back, I’ll try injecting the Emerald’s power into Song Yuan, Bai Zichuan, and the others to see if it can stimulate their Supernatural Abilities. These followers must become stronger.

Nan Nan can also try to absorb more Emeralds at once—while also keeping an eye out for people with special constitutions—thinking this, he returned to the cabin. Si Nan had already set out the food, waiting for him. ”Dinner’s ready.”

”Mmm-hmm, delicious.” An An was already snatching food, wishing he could eat all the meat on the table in one bite. And he only ate meat, no rice.

Luo Sen put down his bowl, glanced at An An, who was biting a piece of meat and reaching for another with his chopsticks, and intercepted his small hand. ”You can’t just eat meat; you need one bite of rice, one bite of meat.”

”Daddy?” An An protested. He didn’t want to eat rice, only meat. The meat was too fragrant; he couldn’t control himself, but the rice was too bland.

”Hm?” Luo Sen’s face turned cold. He stared at An An without speaking, intimidating him with his icy gaze.

Si Nan spoke up, easing the atmosphere. All the Children at the table were afraid of Luo Sen. When he got angry, even the four teenagers didn’t dare to pick up food. She put a chopstick-full of vegetables into An An’s bowl. ”Uncle is doing this for your own good. You’re still young. If you only eat meat and no rice, you’ll never grow tall.”

”Ah, I won’t grow tall? Then An An will eat rice, An An will be good. Thank you, Daddy, Mommy.” An An immediately beamed, quickly shoveling rice, but he still wouldn’t change his address, insisting on calling Luo Sen and Si Nan ”Daddy” and ”Mommy.”

Jian Bing glanced at Luo Sen, then at An An. He had pretty much figured it out, but he didn’t say a word. If he revealed that Luo Sen and The little fellow were both Corpse Kings, he’d probably scare the four teenagers to death.

Their constitution didn’t matter, being a Corpse King didn’t matter, as long as they were normal and not like those walking dead outside who only knew how to bite and eat people.

Before he came, he was in the military and knew more things than others. Some people were special; even if bitten by a Zombie, they wouldn’t mutate.

Before meeting Luo Sen, he only knew about this as a theory, but Luo Sen turned that unimaginable theory into reality—a true Corpse King, a powerful Corpse King.

More importantly, he was his Apprentice’s Boyfriend. What a bonus!

After dinner, everyone returned to their rooms to rest. Si Nan lay on the bed, checking messages from her home. Yunshu Mountain Villa was fine; the security guard sister reported the situation of Yunshu Mountain Villa to her every two hours.

However, the Residential Area was attacked by outsiders. After the wall was built, the nearby buildings became envious, all wanting to take advantage and claim it for themselves.

Those who survived until now were ruthless characters, and of course, they had weapons. The number of attackers was astonishing. There weren’t many people with combat power in her Residential Area. Gu Jie and the others bore the brunt of it and were injured, but thankfully, with guns in hand, they only sustained minor injuries.

Luo Sen returned after washing up and saw her frowning, so he quickly asked, ”What happened?”

Si Nan showed him her phone. ”When we go back this time, we’ll deal with the nearby buildings first. I estimate those nearby buildings have all been unified. It’s not simple for a few troublemakers to dare to attack us. They just didn’t expect us to have guns, which is why they had to retreat, but their objective wasn’t achieved. They’ll come back soon. We need to eliminate them before they arrive, or we’ll never have peace.”

They just didn’t expect us to have guns, which is why they had to retreat, but their objective wasn’t achieved. They’ll come back soon. We need to eliminate them before they arrive, or we’ll never have peace.”

”Understood, I’ll handle this.” This matter further stimulated Luo Sen; he was determined to form a special army.

”What are you thinking about?” Si Nan straightened Luo Sen’s face, looking directly into his deep eyes.

Such a good opportunity, of course, he had to seize it. Luo Sen took the chance to hug Si Nan’s waist and pull her close. ”Thinking about you.”

His thin lips were inches away. Si Nan smiled, giving him a light, fleeting kiss, her tone seductive and playful. ”Oh, starting to get naughty?”

”Hahaha, this is naughty.” Luo Sen kissed her fiercely, then held her and sat on the edge of the bed. ”An An’s situation made me want to form a special Guard Team, provided they remain completely normal like An An and me.

They can protect our home and people when we’re not around.

More importantly, for long-term planning, you said before that in the later stages of the Apocalypse, humanity would usher in a new era, giving birth to new rules of survival. This can be seen from the evolving Zombies and Zombie Beasts.

But what about the period before the new era and new rules are born? Have you ever thought about it? I guess that will definitely be the most chaotic period of slaughter.”

After hearing this, Si Nan’s expression gradually became serious. ”How could I not have thought about it? You’re right. In my previous life, when I died, the Apocalypse had been less than two months, which is next month in our current time. Zombies had generally evolved to be much stronger.

Individual Zombies or Zombie Beasts, for some reason, became very special. To be precise, a very small number of Zombie Beasts are quite special; they awaken special talents like you during the evolution process.

Your power, a powerful strength type, but before I died, I saw a cat that could breathe fire. Its size was even larger than the Zombie Wolf and Zombie Dog we killed before. It could breathe fire from its mouth, becoming a Fire-type Ability User.

I think, in the future, we will continuously discover many shocking things, not just humans, but other powerful Zombie-like species. Those will be humanity’s greatest natural enemies.

So, I don’t even dare to think about the future; I’m scared, afraid that my ordinary flesh and blood body will be no match for powerful species at all.

Although I have a little Supernatural Ability, it’s insignificant compared to yours, and this is my last trump card, a life-saving killer move. I don’t want to use it normally.

Your idea is very good, which is also my original intention for taking in Bai Zichuan and Song Yuan. It’s just that such an army is difficult to build, and there aren’t many people with special constitutions like An An.”

”Not many doesn’t mean none. Let’s take it slow. Although the Apocalypse has been open for more than a month, there are still many survivors. We’ll always encounter one or two. We already have An An; one or two more will be enough.”

Si Nan nodded. ”That’s right, Ability Users don’t need to be many, just strong. Thinking about it, we are actually in a chaotic period of slaughter that you mentioned. We just experienced the first stage of the Apocalypse—Zombie outbreak, and the second stage— Looting supplies ( Looting supplies - looting supplies: Scrambling for Supplies).

Now is the third chaotic stage—with rescue and refuge cities. But the fourth stage—Base Civilization—has not yet been established. Current bases are only busy with rescue and searching for supplies, neglecting to establish rules and regulations. Everything is growing wild, which I imagine is not a survivor’s paradise, but a hell where the strong prey on the weak.

When Zhuo Guangshun and Deng Jiude were going to leave, I was really happy. Those two are old foxes. The Residential Area isn’t suitable for them; let them go to the Refuge City and experience the law of the jungle.

However, this fifth stage—the Ability Awakening Era—seems distant, yet it has quietly begun. You and An An are typical successful examples.”

Luo Sen smiled, ”You are also a successful example.”
