Urban Martial Saint

Even though Shijia Wuji and the others were sitting at the mountain summit at the time, the people below could vaguely see some of it. Ye Qing was mainly focused on watching the Wan Yan family, so he didn’t have time to inquire about Shijia’s situation. However, he knew that Shijia and the others were sitting idle at the summit, and so he immediately questioned Shijia about it.

Shijia said, ”We were just sitting there, not chatting at all!”

”How can you dare say that!” Ye Qing was instantly furious, and said, ”We were down there fighting for our lives, while you were leisurely sitting up there. Is that what you call helping us?”

”Ah, young man, that’s not the right way to put it!” Shijia said, ”I wasn’t the only one not fighting; Wuji wasn’t fighting either. This matter can’t be blamed on us!”

”So what you mean is that we should be blamed instead?” Ye Qing asked.

”You don’t understand what’s going on, and I can’t explain it clearly to you.” Shijia said, ”In short, we have an agreement with the Sword Saint Sect. They can’t interfere in our matters, and we can’t interfere in theirs. Just like last night, they were helping the Wan Yan family, and we were helping you. What were we supposed to do at that time? If we took on the Wan Yan family, that would be interfering in their affairs, and if they took on you, that would be interfering in ours. That would violate the agreement. So we had no choice but to sit there doing nothing and not assisting either side!”

Ye Qing frowned. He had no idea that Shijia had such an agreement with the Sword Saint Sect, and couldn’t help but curse, ”What kind of bullshit agreement is this? Why are you making such agreements with them without any reason?”

”Ah, this matter is a long story, better not talk about it!” Shijia said, ”All right, I didn’t come here to chat nonsense with you. There are some things I need your help with.”

”What is it?” Ye Qing frowned. Every time Shijia, this bald donkey, asked for help, it was never a good thing.

”I won’t talk about your matter, the most crucial thing is to protect your Sun Shooting Bow, and definitely don’t let it be taken by the Wan Yan family.” Shijia glanced at the people beside him and said, ”The key issue concerns them.”

”What about us?” Wu Xiuming asked in surprise.

”It’s none of your business, just follow Heavenly Lord Shen!” Shijia looked at Bloody Monk and said, ”Junior, where are you planning to retreat?”

Bloody Monk was silent for a moment and said, ”Xiaolin Temple!”

”Oh?” A gleam flashed in Shijia’s eyes, and he said, ”Why are you going there to retreat?”

Bloody Monk said, ”I became possessed there, so I’m going to break through my heart demon there!”

”Interesting!” Shijia nodded and said, ”That’s for the best. Xiaolin Temple is pretty quiet, the most suitable place for you to retreat. Liu Mubai, the key issue concerns you!”

”What about me?” Liu Mubai asked in surprise. Why did Shijia suddenly bring up his matter?

”I need you to find something for me,” Shijia said.

”What is it?” Liu Mubai asked again in surprise, glancing at Ye Qing beside him, not knowing what Shijia was up to. However, from what he had learned through Ye Qing’s matter, he understood a bit about Shijia. This old bald donkey asking someone to help with something generally wasn’t a good thing.

”Old bald donkey, what exactly are you up to?” Ye Qing said in a deep voice, ”At this point, are you still trying to screw us over?”

”You’re wrong there!” Shijia said, ”How am I screwing you over? What I’m asking you to do this time is extremely crucial.”

”How crucial can it be?” Ye Qing said discontentedly.

”I can’t explain it to you, you just need to do as I say!” Shijia said, ”Liu Mubai, go to the chamber where Patriarch Bodhidharma passed away and get something for me!”

”The chamber where Patriarch Bodhidharma passed away?” Ye Qing’s eyes widened instantly and he looked at Shijia, and said, ”What’s still in there? I personally went inside there, and aside from a stone platform, there was nothing at all!”

Shijia said, ”You don’t need to ask about this, Liu Mubai will understand once he enters.”

Ye Qing looked at Shijia in surprise, not knowing whether the old guy was trying to fool anyone. In the chamber where Patriarch Bodhidharma passed away, Ye Qing indeed saw it clearly at the time, there was nothing in there. What on earth was Shijia trying to get Liu Mubai to find?

”Then let me go!” Ye Qing said, ”I’ve been inside that secret chamber before, so I’m more familiar with the situation there. If Liu Mubai goes, he’s unfamiliar with the place; he might not even find it. It’s more convenient if I go myself to get it!”

Shijia shook his head decisively, saying, ”You can’t get this thing, only Liu Mubai can!”

”Why?” Ye Qing was astonished again. What kind of nonsense was Shijia saying? What is something that he can’t get, but only Liu Mubai can? Is he sticking Liu Mubai with this?

”I’ve said, once we have the item, you’ll understand!” Shijia waved his hand, saying, ”Alright, I won’t say anything unnecessary. Ye Qing, you must protect the Sun Shooting Bow well, don’t let anyone steal it, that’s all that concerns you!”

Having said that, Shijia turned and left. Ye Qing hurriedly chased after him, urgently saying, ”Wait a minute!”

”No time for nonsense, I’m leaving first!” Shijia replied, and by the time his words fell, he was already running to the edge of the cliff and jumped straight off, not giving Ye Qing a chance to speak further.

”Damn it!” Ye Qing couldn’t help but curse. This old bald donkey, after saying so many ambiguous words, just jumped off a cliff, acting all mysterious!

The others, full of doubts, walked to the cliff’s edge to take a look, but Shijia was nowhere to be seen. Everyone looked at each other, Wu Xiuming said, ”So what do we do now?”

”I think we should follow his advice!” Shen Tianjun said, ”Shijia is a high monk of the Buddhist sect, he must have his reasons for saying so. Let’s just do as he says and not worry too much!”

”In that case, I’ll go with you!” Wu Xiuming looked at Ye Qing beside him, saying, ”But what about Alliance Leader Ye? If we all leave, no one will be left to protect Alliance Leader Ye. He is already the target of the Wanyan family, and he’s carrying the Sun Shooting Bow. If the Wanyan family catches him, it would be really dangerous.”

Everyone frowned, indeed this was quite a troublesome issue. Without protection, in Ye Qing’s current state, the Wanyan family could send just anyone to capture him back.

Seeing everyone’s expressions, Ye Qing said, ”Don’t worry about me, I’ll find a safe place to hide!”

Shen Tianjun sighed, saying, ”Given the current situation in the world, I’m afraid nowhere will be safe for you to hide!”

”Don’t worry, I know a place where the Wanyan family definitely can’t find me.” Ye Qing said, ”I’ll first hide the Sun Shooting Bow there, and then head to Medicine King Mountain to meet someone. Let’s overcome the immediate difficulty, we can meet again when there’s a chance!”

”Is that place you mentioned really safe?” Liu Mubai still had some concerns.

”Absolutely safe!” Ye Qing replied decisively, full of confidence.

The crowd exchanged glances. Seeing Ye Qing so confident, they naturally didn’t say anything further.

”Since that’s the case, it’s settled then!” Shen Tianjun took a deep breath, saying, ”Let’s part ways for now, hoping we can meet again soon!”

Everyone nodded, feeling reluctant. The World Alliance had collapsed, leaving just a few of them, and their hearts were quite heavy.

Before dawn, they parted ways, each heading off. The Bloody Monk left for Xiaolin Temple, Liu Mubai went to the secret chamber where Patriarch Bodhidharma passed away, and Shen Tianjun took Wu Xiuming in another direction. In Wuguan City, only Ye Qing remained.

Watching everyone leave, Ye Qing felt a bit sentimental. Though the world is vast, how many places are there for them to stay? The key issue is how to prevent the Sun Shooting Bow from falling into the hands of the Wanyan family.

Ye Qing originally intended to hide the Sun Shooting Bow in the Demon’s Cave so no one could obtain it. But after hearing Fu Qingping’s explanation, he dared not go there. If the Wanyan family is as familiar with the Demon’s Cave as said, going there would be like seeking death.

The Demon’s Cave was Ye Qing’s first choice, of course, but if he couldn’t go there, he’d have to find another place to hide the Sun Shooting Bow. The second place that came to Ye Qing’s mind was Mount Wendao!

Mount Wendao, where Ye Qing received the Karmic Dao left by Ancestor Chen Tuan, and the Innate Nine Diagrams. It was there that Ye Qing freed himself from his predicament and achieved his current development. The terrain in Mount Wendao is complex and unique, not a place an average person can easily access. Furthermore, the most crucial aspect is the presence of a powerful Jiao on Mount Wendao, with whom Ye Qing has a good relationship!

This Jiao possesses Beyond The Pinnacle strength, and Mount Wendao is its domain, inhabited by countless serpents. At the command of the Jiao, the serpent horde rises in action, and Ye Qing had witnessed their power firsthand. Given these circumstances and Ye Qing’s relationship with the Jiao, Mount Wendao seemed to be the second safest spot after the Demon’s Cave. Hiding the Sun Shooting Bow there might avoid the Wanyan family!

After seeing off Shen Tianjun and the others, Ye Qing found a car, driving down a small road towards Mount Wendao. Now that the Wanyan family controlled the major powers, he dared not be too bold, avoiding means like planes and trains, or even highways, lest the Wanyan family might track his whereabouts. Driving himself along a small road was the safest way; the Wanyan family couldn’t possibly block every road.
