”No one’s answering the phone?” Wanyan Second Master frowned even tighter and said in a deep voice, ”What the hell are these people doing? Whether the job is done or not, they should at least report back. They won’t even pick up the phone—are they trying to rebel?”

”This…” Wanyan Hongsheng paused slightly, then said in a low voice, ”Second Brother, do you think… could it be that they failed the mission? Either they failed and don’t dare to answer the phone, or… or I’m afraid they’ve already been silenced!”

”Impossible!” Wanyan Second Master shook his head decisively and said, ”This matter had to be accomplished, there was no way it could fail!”

”But the other side has Shijia. Shijia… Shijia’s strength is even above The Immortal Lord. The people we sent over, they don’t even have a single Peak Master. They… they can’t possibly beat them!” Wanyan Hongsheng finally voiced his greatest doubt. When Wanyan Second Master sent this group to deal with Ye Qing Shakyamuni, he had already found it strange.

”Hmph, what do you know!” Wanyan Second Master gave Wanyan Hongsheng a sidelong glance and said in a deep voice, ”If we’re talking about killing Shijia head-on with force, in this world, I’d say there’s probably no one who can do it!”

”Ah?” Wanyan Hongsheng was stunned for a moment; he hadn’t expected Wanyan Second Master to rate Shijia so highly.

”Even the Corpse Ghost Dragon can’t kill Shijia?” someone beside them asked in surprise.

”The Corpse Ghost Dragon can defeat Shijia, but it cannot kill him!” Wanyan Second Master said in a deep voice, ”The Vajra Indestructible Body that Shijia cultivates—unless someone at a realm higher than his, no one at the same realm can kill him!”

Everyone looked at each other, all deeply shocked. They were shocked by Shijia’s strength, but even more shocked by the question of realms. Shijia was already a beyond peerless master, yet Wanyan Second Master said only someone at a higher realm could kill him. In other words, above Beyond The Pinnacle there was still another realm. Then what kind of realm was that?

”Then, Second Brother, you sent those people to kill Shijia, this…” Wanyan Hongsheng looked at Wanyan Second Master, doubt written on his face.

”I said, killing Shijia directly with force is unrealistic, but using other methods is another matter!” Wanyan Second Master took a deep breath and said in a low voice, ”This matter is one of the family’s greatest secrets. I hadn’t wanted to talk about it, but at this point, I’m afraid I can’t keep it hidden.”

Everyone looked at Wanyan Second Master together, knowing he was about to reveal a major family secret. Although everyone present was a core member of the family, the most critical secrets were still in Wanyan Second Master’s hands; they knew nothing about them, not even Wanyan Hongsheng.

Wanyan Second Master swept his gaze over everyone and asked, ”Do you know what’s inside Xiliang Mountain?”

They all shook their heads. They only knew the family had arranged something in Xiliang Mountain, but no one knew what exactly was there. However, the family had been sending a lot of resources to Xiliang Mountain over the years, so it must be something very major.

”Inside Xiliang Mountain, there is a secret treasure left behind by Patriarch Bodhidharma!” Wanyan Second Master paused, then said, ”Acala Buddha Seal!”

Everyone cried out in surprise at the same time. They knew of the Immovable Bodhisattva Seal, but what this Acala Buddha Seal was, none of them had known.

Wanyan Second Master explained the matter of the Acala Buddha Seal once over, then looked at everyone and said in a deep voice, ”Patriarch Bodhidharma was a man of the Buddhist Sect. He hid the Acala Buddha Seal here, he must have had his reasons. When Eldest Brother was still alive, he discovered this secret and began quietly arranging things in Xiliang Mountain. First, Eldest Brother set up a Taiji Formation in Xiliang Mountain and used this Formation to conceal the Acala Buddha Seal within it. Then he took another item and placed it opposite the Acala Buddha Seal. And do you know what that item was?”

Everyone shook their heads again, all staring solemnly at Wanyan Second Master. Since it could be set opposite the Acala Buddha Seal, this item was definitely no simple thing.

”It was Heavenly Cluster Clouds!” Wanyan Second Master took a deep breath, looked at them, and said in a low voice, ”Heavenly Cluster Clouds—do you know it?”

Everyone’s expression changed. As core members, they all knew Heavenly Cluster Clouds very well. Because the Wanyan Family’s Source of Power was also Heavenly Cluster Clouds!

”Second Brother, Eldest Brother actually put a segment of Heavenly Cluster Clouds in Xiliang Mountain?” Wanyan Hongsheng’s eyes widened. He knew very clearly what Heavenly Cluster Clouds could do. A single segment of Heavenly Cluster Clouds had allowed the Wanyan Family to flourish till today. If there was another segment, the family’s strength would skyrocket.

”This is what you don’t understand.” Wanyan Second Master said coldly, ”There are eight pieces of Heavenly Cluster Clouds, each with different Attributes of Strength and different effects. For example, the segment held by Iga-ryu is one side of Yamata no Orochi’s Demonic Nature, so that Heavenly Cluster Clouds’ power leans toward Demonic Nature, its Attributes of Strength are black. Our family’s segment is life-oriented; it can cause all things to grow. But the Heavenly Cluster Clouds in Xiliang Mountain is destruction-oriented, its Attributes of Strength are red. Red—do you know what that means?”

Everyone shook their heads. Wanyan Hongsheng suddenly remembered something and said, ”Second Brother, in that case, that legend about Xiliang Mountain is also because of Heavenly Cluster Clouds? People swept by that Golden Light turn into white bones and even move to attack people, is… is that the power of Heavenly Cluster Clouds?”

”That can’t be simply called the power of the red Heavenly Cluster Clouds; it is the result of the red Heavenly Cluster Clouds’ power merging with the Acala Buddha Seal.” Wanyan Second Master said, ”The red Heavenly Cluster Clouds is destruction-oriented. Anyone swept by its light will be destroyed and turned into a skeleton. But the Buddhist Sect’s power is relatively gentle, emphasizes forbidding killing and saving lives; Buddha Light also has the effect of salvation. Eldest Brother used the Tai Chi Diagram to bind the red Heavenly Cluster Clouds and the Acala Buddha Seal together. The two oppose and yet give rise to each other—that is the wonder of the Tai Chi Diagram. The Tai Chi Diagram blended the two powers together, producing that effect. When the light shines on people, the red Heavenly Cluster Clouds’ power turns them into skeletons, while the Buddhist Sect’s power revives them. So they become moving skeletons. And because the red Heavenly Cluster Clouds’ power is rather sinister, those skeletons attack people.”

After listening to this explanation, everyone looked at each other in disbelief. Even though Wanyan Second Master had explained it clearly, such a thing was still hard for them to believe and accept.

Wanyan Second Master ignored their expressions. He knew that saying all this, it was indeed hard for them to accept; that was very normal.

”The red Heavenly Cluster Clouds is purely destructive in nature. Even if we kept it in our family, it would only harm us and bring no benefit. So back then Eldest Brother left behind this scheme: use the Tai Chi Diagram to place the red Heavenly Cluster Clouds together with the Acala Buddha Seal and lure people of the Buddhist Sect to seek it out!” Wanyan Second Master glanced at the people beside him and said in a deep voice, ”Moreover, Eldest Brother also left behind a method to trigger the power of the red Heavenly Cluster Clouds. Once Shijia took away the red Heavenly Cluster Clouds, this method could be used to detonate its power. Shijia may be strong, but the red Heavenly Cluster Clouds’ power is stronger, enough to kill him!”

Everyone suddenly understood. Wanyan Hongsheng said, ”Second Brother, you sent those few people to detonate the power of the red Heavenly Cluster Clouds?”

”That’s right!” Wanyan Second Master said in a deep voice, ”I already taught them the specific method; it’s a very simple matter. But why would they have failed?”

Everyone exchanged glances. Now they no longer doubted that these people could kill Shijia. But since Shijia wasn’t dead, it was indeed strange. What exactly had happened that allowed Shijia and the others to leave safely?

Because they weren’t at Xiliang Mountain, they didn’t know those people outside Xiliang Mountain were already dead. If they knew, they would be even more astonished. Who was secretly working against them and killing their people?

”This plan was designed by Eldest Brother specifically for Shijia. I never thought Shijia and his people would still escape!” Wanyan Second Master’s face was extremely ugly as he said in a deep voice, ”Now that we’ve missed this chance, killing Shijia won’t be easy. Those useless fools—get them back here immediately. I want to ask them to their faces how they handled this!”

”Yes!” Wanyan Hongsheng answered hurriedly. It was obvious Wanyan Second Master was furious, and no one dared say more. That was understandable: the Wanyan Family had arranged things for so many years, only to fail at the final step—no one could accept that.

Wanyan Hongsheng turned to leave, arranging for a few people to contact those in Xiliang Mountain at once. Of course, whether they could get through was another matter.

Just at this moment, a man hurried into the conference room. As soon as he stepped in, he said anxiously, ”Second Master, something’s happened.”

”What is it?” Wanyan Second Master’s brows furrowed at once. Hearing this at a time like this, he was even more displeased.

The man quickly said, ”A beyond peerless master has appeared from the Sword Saint Sect. He has already killed three of our Peak Masters in succession. The people in front can’t hold them anymore; I’m afraid the Sword Saint Sect’s people are about to storm in!”

”What!?” Everyone in the room stood up at once. This was big. The Sword Saint Sect had actually deployed a beyond peerless master; in the Wanyan Family’s current state, they really couldn’t withstand that.

”Second Brother, what do we do now?” a man asked nervously, looking at Wanyan Second Master. If the Peak Masters of the Sword Saint Sect came killing their way in, they would all be hard-pressed to escape.

”Where is the Corpse Ghost Dragon?” Wanyan Second Master said in a deep voice, ”Has his strength fully recovered?”

”It should be almost there!” Wanyan Hongsheng hurried over and said, ”He’s recovered ninety percent. Dealing with the opponent’s beyond peerless master shouldn’t be a problem!”

”The Sword Saint Sect’s beyond peerless masters can’t be judged by common sense!” Wanyan Second Master was silent for a moment, then suddenly took a deep breath and said in a low voice, ”Looks like this time, we can’t keep hiding anymore!”
