Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing and the others were discussing the matters concerning the Wanyan Family of Shenchuan City when they suddenly heard footsteps behind them, leaving everyone startled. Turning their heads, they saw Fu Qingping had somehow walked up behind them, causing them first a moment of surprise, and then overwhelming joy.

Fu Qingping’s injuries were too severe, everyone had tried various methods but couldn’t suppress them. They had placed Fu Qingping in the cave in sheer desperation, as everyone was still troubled by the situation. Who would have thought that amidst their worries, Fu Qingping would actually walk out of the cave? Moreover, judging by his appearance, his wounds seemed to have improved significantly!

”Master Ancestor, you... what’s this...” Ye Qing was utterly astonished, unable to understand what was going on with Fu Qingping. Wasn’t he unconscious? How did he suddenly wake up, and even become capable of walking?

”I’m fine now!” Fu Qingping waved his hand casually, looking at Ye Qing, and said, ”I don’t have much time left, there are some things I need to tell you!”

”Not much time left? Why?” Ye Qing exclaimed, and the others were equally anxious. Fu Qingping was up, wasn’t he? Why did he say he didn’t have much time left?

Fu Qingping said, ”Did you forget, I already used the power beyond the pinnacle!”

”You mean, you’re... you’re also going to face heavenly retribution?” Ye Qing’s voice faltered slightly, he really didn’t want to bring up this matter.

Fu Qingping responded calmly, ”This is something that any peak master cannot avoid, and I am no exception.”

”Is there no way to avoid heavenly retribution?” Shen Tianjun promptly asked, and the Bloody Monk also furrowed his brows. They were both striving for the realm beyond the pinnacle and wanted to understand what this heavenly retribution was all about.

”Once you reach the realm beyond the pinnacle, you’ll understand what I mean.” Fu Qingping gently waved his hand and said, ”There’s no need to be sad, it’s not necessarily a bad thing.”

Everyone was puzzled, suffering heavenly retribution wasn’t considered a bad thing? What did Fu Qingping mean?

”I came out to give you a few instructions!” Fu Qingping looked at Ye Qing and said, ”First, never take the Sun Shooting Bow to the Demon Hideout Cave!”

”Huh?” Ye Qing was taken aback, this matter had been mentioned to him by the Reincarnated True Buddha, and now Fu Qingping was saying it again, what is the reason? Why don’t both the Reincarnated True Buddha and Fu Qingping let him go to the Demon Hideout Cave, what does it mean?

”Why can’t we go to the Demon Hideout Cave?” Shen Tianjun asked.

”Haven’t you noticed?” Fu Qingping said, ”Most of the martial arts practiced by the Wanyan Family originate from the Demon Sect, and many are the legitimate secret techniques of the Demon Sect. However, you also know, most of these secret techniques were buried with the Great Demon King in the Demon Hideout Cave. If the Wanyan Family can master these techniques, it indicates they have uncovered the secrets within the Demon Hideout Cave, achieving their current accomplishments. Ye Qing, you can easily enter the Demon Hideout Cave, but I suspect that the Wanyan Family can do so just as easily. If you take the Sun Shooting Bow to the Demon Hideout Cave, wouldn’t that amount to delivering the bow into their hands?”

Ye Qing suddenly realized, and upon reflection, it seemed quite plausible. Most of the Wanyan Family’s martial arts indeed originate from the Demon Sect. If they had no connection to the Demon Hideout Cave, Ye Qing would never believe it.

Fu Qingping continued, ”The second thing is, this month on the fifteenth, remember to visit Medicine King Mountain. Someone is about to finish their retreat, and you need to welcome them!”

”Medicine King Mountain?” Ye Qing was puzzled for a moment, why go to Medicine King Mountain? Who is coming out from there?

Fu Qingping said, ”You’ll understand when you go, this was something Divine Doctor An Shiping instructed me before leaving retreat. Originally, he wanted me to help with the reception, but now it seems I’m unable to go.”

Ye Qing and the others were puzzled, unexpected that Divine Doctor An Shiping had contacted Fu Qingping. It seems at that time, after Divine Doctor An Shiping concluded his retreat, he first helped everyone block the Corpse Ghost Dragon in Shenchuan City. He then left Shenchuan City, reportedly to visit some old friends and attend an engagement. Could it be that among those old friends was Fu Qingping?

As for the appointment Divine Doctor An Shiping would attend, Ye Qing had some idea because, those who had entered the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates last stated they were going to fulfill an engagement. Ultimately, no one knew the specifics of the engagement, probably only they themselves knew.

”The fifteenth, Medicine King Mountain!” Ye Qing nodded, saying, ”There’s still a week, I will go and help Master Ancestor welcome this person!”

”That’s good!” Fu Qingping nodded, saying, ”Given that, I have no further concerns. Everyone, I shall take my leave!”

No one expected Fu Qingping to say leave just like that, everyone felt reluctant. Ye Qing promptly stood up, looking at Fu Qingping, urgently saying, ”Master Ancestor...”

As he spoke, Ye Qing’s eyes were turning red. Although he hadn’t known Fu Qingping for long, Fu Qingping had indeed treated him well. This virtuous and determined master also garnered respect from all over. Now facing a departure, Ye Qing naturally felt sorrowful.

Seeing Ye Qing’s expression, Fu Qingping smiled slightly and said, ”Do not be sad, if fate permits, we’ll meet again!”

”Meet again?!” Ye Qing was taken aback, wanting to ask more, but Fu Qingping had already walked straight into the cave.

Everyone hurried into the cave, but now, the cave was empty, with no trace of Fu Qingping.

The crowd was instantly astonished. There were no other paths inside this cave, so how did Fu Qingping disappear after entering? Even if he was beyond a peerless master, where could he have left from in this cave?

”Could there be a mechanism in here?” Wu Xiuming asked in a low voice.

Everyone shared the same thought as Wu Xiuming, and they started tapping on the rock walls around the cave. However, the sound that returned told them that the rock walls were solid, and there was no hidden path; Fu Qingping couldn’t have left through a secret path. So, how exactly did Fu Qingping leave this cave? It truly was puzzling.

”Just now, Master said…” Shen Tianjun looked at Ye Qing and whispered, ”If there’s fate, you’ll meet again?”

The crowd was filled with confusion, unable to understand what this could mean. If there’s fate, you’ll meet again? Does that mean that after Fu Qingping’s mysterious disappearance, he could return someday?

Ye Qing took a deep breath. He felt there were many doubtful points in this matter, but he couldn’t figure out what the problem was. According to Fu Qingping’s explanation, those beyond peerless masters mysteriously disappear after using their beyond peerless power. But where do they go after disappearing? No one knows. When Fu Qingping said you might meet again, does that mean they can come back?

After a long silence, Ye Qing stood up and said, ”No matter what, there’s still hope, and that’s the best!”

Everyone nodded in agreement. As long as there was hope, that was indeed the best thing.

”What should we do next?” Wu Xiuming looked at the group and asked in a low voice. Previously, everyone was worried about Fu Qingping’s injuries, but now that he was healed, where should they go?

”I need to go into retreat for some time!” Bloody Monk suddenly said in a deep voice.

”Retreat?” Everyone looked at Bloody Monk in unison, surprised that he wanted to go into retreat now.

”Before the opening of the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates, I must break through the pinnacle restraint!” Bloody Monk said solemnly.

The crowd took a deep breath. This meant that Bloody Monk was close to entering the beyond peerless level, which was indeed good news for Ye Qing’s side.

Shen Tianjun nodded and said, ”I also need to visit an old friend!”

With this, Bloody Monk and Shen Tianjun both needed to leave temporarily, leaving only Wu Xiuming and Liu Mubai with Ye Qing.

”Then I will stay with Alliance Leader Ye!” Wu Xiuming said.

”No!” Shen Tianjun shook his head decisively, ”You have to come with me!”

”Why?” Wu Xiuming asked in surprise. Not only Wu Xiuming, but even Ye Qing was puzzled why Wu Xiuming had to go with Shen Tianjun.

”You’ll understand in the future, but I can’t say right now,” Shen Tianjun waved his hand and said, ”Just follow me!”

”This, I…” Wu Xiuming was confused, looking at Ye Qing, unsure of what to do.

”Alright then!” Ye Qing nodded, believing in Shen Tianjun. Since Shen Tianjun insisted, there must be a reason, so let Wu Xiuming follow him.

”Then I’ll stay with Ye Zi!” Liu Mubai said solemnly.

”You can’t go with him either!” At this moment, a voice suddenly came in from outside the cave, startling everyone, making them turn to look.

A person stood at the cave entrance, dressed in oily robes. This monk was none other than Shijia.

Seeing Shijia, everyone inside the cave let out a sigh of relief. Reaching this point in the situation, everyone had begun to feel somewhat hopeless. The strength of the Wanyan Family left them unsure how to cope. Seeing Shijia at this moment naturally gave everyone some reassurance. Although Shijia was extremely unreliable, as the top expert in the Buddhist Sect today, he was certainly not falsely reputed. Moreover, though Shijia appeared crazy, he was as clear-headed as a mirror and understood everything.

”Damn bald monk, where did you wander off to?” Seeing Shijia, Ye Qing’s anger flared, ”When we were fighting the Wanyan Family, why didn’t you come to help?”

Shijia replied, ”Hey, you’re not being fair. How could you say I didn’t help? Didn’t I stop the beyond peerless master from the Sword Saint Sect for you?”

”Stop bluffing. We didn’t see you fighting with the Sword Saint Sect people!” Ye Qing said angrily, ”While we were fighting for our lives with the Wanyan Family down there, you were sitting and chatting!”
