Urban Martial Saint

On the other side, inside the cave, Fat Wang was now lying idly inside the cave. He had been there for a while, but, like Ye Qing’s situation over there, once he came in, he couldn’t get out.

Moreover, the most troublesome aspect was that in Fat Wang’s cave, there was no one else, just Fat Wang alone, with nobody to talk to.

Fat Wang had tried at the cave entrance more than a dozen times, shouting himself hoarse, but there was no response from outside, which made Fat Wang very annoyed. He, of course, didn’t know about the cave being sealed; he just thought the people outside had run away, and he kept mumbling about how those outside were disloyal, while hoping Ye Qing would come to find him and rescue him.

The cave wasn’t large, and there was also a stone platform in the middle. Bored and restless, Fat Wang lay down on this stone platform, feeling somewhat at ease. However, being trapped inside this cave wouldn’t make anyone feel too happy.

No idea how long he had been lying there; Fat Wang was almost asleep when suddenly he felt a heat in his back, as if he was being roasted by fire.

”Hey, ouch****!” Fat Wang jumped up, startled, and turned around to see a red light gradually appearing on the stone platform where he had been lying, looking extremely eerie.

Fortunately, the red light seemed to be trapped inside the stone platform, unable to escape. Meanwhile, the cave gradually glowed with a golden light, accompanied by the sound of a Buddhist chant. The chant sounded ancient, as if it came from timeless Buddhist texts, instilling a sense of reverence in one’s heart.

Fat Wang was not a believer of Buddhism, but listening to this Buddhist chant made him feel at peace. However, being a tomb robber, he was more drawn to the strange glow in the cave.

”With light like this, could there be gold in this cave?” Fat Wang muttered to himself. This guy was really greedy, still thinking about gold at a time like this.

He circled toward the direction of the light but found nothing. The golden light seemed to radiate from all directions. The only different thing was the stone platform, where red light shimmered, looking particularly seductive amidst the golden light.

”What is this? A ruby?” Fat Wang walked back to the stone platform, taking a closer look to see what was glowing underneath it.

The stone platform seemed to have turned transparent, with red light flickering inside. The red light kept trying to burst out, as if it wanted to escape. But the stone platform was enveloped by golden light, which firmly sealed the red light within, leaving it completely trapped.

Fat Wang watched for a while, and his eyes suddenly widened. Because within that red light, there was a red rod-like object emitting the light, looking very strange. Yet, amidst such light, this red rod-like object was quite eye-catching, resembling a piece of coral, making one salivate.

Fat Wang was notoriously greedy, the type who would pluck even a passing goose. Seeing this red rod-like object, the first thing he thought about was whether it was valuable. If it were valuable, how much could it sell for?

Of course, Fat Wang couldn’t guess how much this thing was worth. However, he was very sure in his heart that it was definitely valuable. If he brought this back, this trip wouldn’t have been in vain.

Circling the stone platform once, Fat Wang took a deep breath and suddenly began to push the stone platform vigorously.

Meanwhile, outside the exit, beside the Tai Chi circle, Big Beard and the man were still waiting. Ye Qing and Fat Wang had been down there for too long, making these two anxious. They had tried pulling the rope during this time, but no matter how hard they pulled, it wouldn’t budge. Shouting at the top of their lungs yielded no response from below, adding to their anxiety about what had happened to those who went down.

”What do you think happened to those two? Why is there no signal from them at all?” the man couldn’t help but ask Big Beard. ”We can’t move the rope, which is too strange. What’s going on down there?”

Big Beard was also frowning tightly. This was a situation he had never encountered before. The entrance didn’t look big; why wasn’t there even an echo when shouting inside?

While the two were perplexed, the hole where Fat Wang had jumped down suddenly shone with golden light.

”Look!” The man reacted first, grabbing Big Beard’s shoulder urgently, ”Golden light! It’s golden light again!”

Seeing this golden light, Big Beard’s expression also changed. Having heard Ye Qing talking about the legend of the golden light and seen those moving skeletons, they were already very afraid of the golden light. Now that it had appeared again, the two were naturally shivering in fright.

”Could this be the golden light we saw before?” Big Beard’s voice also trembled a little.

”What should we do?” The man looked around urgently. ”There’s nowhere to hide around here!”

”That golden light can even shine out of the cave, shooting so high. Where can you possibly hide?” Beard said in a deep voice.

”Then... what do we do now?” The man looked anxious. If that golden light bursts out, wouldn’t the two of them also turn into skeletons?

Beard’s face was also full of anxiety. He stared at the two cave entrances for a while and suddenly said, ”Jump down and hide!”

”Jump down?” The man widened his eyes. Below is where the golden light emerges from. Jumping down there, isn’t that a death wish?

”There’s golden light appearing near Fat Wang, but where Ye Qing jumped down, there’s no golden light. It shows that this side is still safe. Jumping down definitely won’t be dangerous!” Beard said, already climbing onto the Tai Chi Circle, preparing to jump towards Ye Qing’s side.

”What about Fat Wang?” The man asked urgently. He had a good relationship with Fat Wang and couldn’t bear to see him in danger.

”What can we do now?” Beard glanced at him and said, ”Why don’t you go down and call him up?”

The man immediately shut his mouth. This was clearly impossible. Although he had a good relationship with Fat Wang, he couldn’t possibly risk his life to save him under such clearly deadly circumstances.

Beard hesitated no more and directly jumped down from this cave entrance. The man hesitated slightly, then shouted towards Fat Wang’s cave entrance, ”Fat Wang, if you hear this, run quickly. The golden light has appeared; don’t get caught by it, or you’ll be dead. We’ve all come to hide in Ye Qing’s cave, if you come out, come find us here!”

The man was quite loyal, still shouting to urge Fat Wang to save himself at this time. After shouting, he also jumped directly into the cave, without daring to linger at all.

Just shortly after they both jumped down, a shaft of golden light burst out from Fat Wang’s cave entrance, instantly illuminating the entire cave and shooting into the sky.

However, Beard and the man were lucky. They had already jumped into this cave and weren’t caught by the golden light.

At this time, Ye Qing was still sitting in the cave with Shijia, asking about the signs of the object when it fully resisted.

Shijia said, ”When that thing fully resists, the most obvious sign is the power of the Immovable Bodhisattva Seal, which will appear. And this manifestation is similar to the power of the Buddha’s Relic you’ve seen before, also flashing golden light and chanting of Buddhist texts!”

”Golden light flashing?” Speaking of the golden light, Ye Qing suddenly remembered seeing that sky-high golden light outside and quickly asked, ”The golden light I saw outside can turn people into skeletons, and the skeletons can even attack people. What’s going on here? Buddhist Sect power shouldn’t be this evil, right?”

”That’s not the power of the Buddhist Sect!” Shijia shook his head and said, ”If I’m not wrong, the power of the golden light seen outside is actually from that suppressed thing. Although it’s golden, in fact, it’s because the Immovable Bodhisattva Seal’s power binds and disperses it, so it looks golden. Inside, it’s still that evil power. This power can turn people into skeletons, and the skeletons can attack people. That’s truly too evil, and I don’t know which evil demon’s power it really is!”

Ye Qing slightly frowned and said, ”According to your explanation, when this thing fully resists, anyone who tries to move it is seeking death, right? The power of this thing will turn people into skeletons. Whoever touches it will become a skeleton?”

”It’s different!” Shijia said, ”When this thing fully resists, the power of the Immovable Bodhisattva Seal is also suppressing. The dispersed power is wrapped by the Immovable Bodhisattva Seal’s power and sent out to disperse, while the non-dispersed power is sealed within its body and won’t harm anyone.”

Hearing this, Ye Qing felt slightly relieved, yet just as he was about to speak, he heard a thud behind him as Beard jumped in from outside.

Unfortunately for Beard, upon coming down, he stumbled onto the large stone they had thrown down earlier, crying out in pain.

”Ow, who’s so mean to put this stone here!” Beard said, covering his buttock angrily. He hadn’t realized that this stone was actually the one they had just thrown down.

”Wow, more people are coming in! More people!” Shijia jumped up excitedly, hurriedly running over while stretching out his hand, ”Welcome! Welcome!”

Ye Qing immediately felt overwhelmed. This Shijia really knows how to find joy in hardship. Running while shouting welcome - what kind of good place is this that you’re welcoming people?

However, seeing Beard, Ye Qing also felt somewhat surprised. How did he come in at this time? Could it be that he came down to rescue me? But why didn’t Fat Wang come down?
