Urban Martial Saint

No matter whether they are gods or not, at the very least, they are enemies of mankind!

Ye Qing took a deep breath. Fu Qingping’s words reminded him. Indeed, according to Guiguzi’s content, those so-called gods are enemies of humanity.

And in the words left by Ancestor Buddha Shakyamuni, those so-called gods are also enemies of humanity.

In the end, regardless of whether these beings are gods or not, they at least stand in opposition to humanity. On this point, Ancestor Buddha Shakyamuni and Guiguzi hold the same view. They might have different understandings of gods, but for Ye Qing, the most crucial thing is to know that these beings called gods are enemies, and that’s enough!

”That’s right, they are all enemies of mankind!” Ye Qing took a deep breath, recalling the content he saw on the rock wall of King Raph the Werewolf’s cave. Those werewolves treated humans entirely as food; from this perspective, they are undoubtedly enemies of mankind. Moreover, since the werewolves are God’s servants, if even the servants can commit such brutal acts, what terrifying things might the true gods do? Saying these gods are enemies of mankind is not an exaggeration at all. Rather than calling them gods, it’s more accurate to call them demons!

Seeing Ye Qing understood his words, Fu Qingping nodded slowly, patted Ye Qing’s shoulder, and said in a deep voice, ”It seems this matter is becoming increasingly complex. The disaster of the gods, as stated by Guiguzi, is probably not empty talk. Once the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates are fully opened, humanity will face great calamity. It appears we must prepare. Otherwise, if the Various Gods truly descend, we will not be able to fight against them at all!”

Reflecting on those murals of werewolves treating humans as food, Ye Qing was also alarmed. If humankind were truly seized by those so-called gods, the world would turn into a breeding ground. All humans would become food raised by those gods, which would be an incredibly terrifying scenario!

”Guiguzi said, if the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates are all open, the world will plunge into chaos. According to his meaning, once the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates are completely opened, the Various Gods will descend!” Ye Qing took a deep breath and said in a deep voice, ”What if the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates aren’t opened? Will the world remain unchaotic?”

Fu Qingping looked at Ye Qing, and even he couldn’t conjecture on this matter.

”No matter what, we must try!” Fu Qingping said in a deep voice, ”Once outside, announce this to the world and tell them not to open the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates!”

”I’m just afraid no one will believe us.” Ye Qing forced a bitter smile. He knew very well the covetousness people had for the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates. Many people were willing to risk their lives for it. And at this time, persuading them not to open the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates—who would listen to Ye Qing’s words?

”Whether they believe it or not, we must try!” A glint suddenly flashed in Fu Qingping’s eyes as he said in a deep voice, ”If they won’t listen, then we will seize the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates ourselves. If we have them all in our hands, who in the world could open them?”

Ye Qing looked at Fu Qingping. At this moment, Fu Qingping was filled with heroic spirit, ready to challenge the world with singular courage.

”Alright!” Ye Qing also felt a surge of courage. ”That’s settled then. If they won’t listen, we’ll take action and seize the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates. The Heaven Earth Man Tri-Map and the seven keys to open the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates—if we hold any of them, we can prevent others from opening the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates!”

Fu Qingping nodded slowly. He was inherently a man of great valor, acting decisively without hesitation. Ye Qing had a similar temperament, which is why Fu Qingping thought highly of him. In his heart, he had already considered Ye Qing as his successor. If Ye Qing’s martial arts were not crippled, he would have taught him everything he knew.

”Since that’s the case, let’s not delay any further. Let’s exit this Tomb of Ghost Valley Master first!” Ye Qing looked at the dark Stone Corridor ahead. Wen’er and the others were far ahead, unable to hear the conversation outside. The corridor’s length was uncertain, and it might not be easy to get out.

Fu Qingping followed Ye Qing into the Stone Corridor, walking approximately over three hundred meters before seeing Wen’er and the others. The Seventh Elder was the most excited, rushing ahead as if eager to leave the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master immediately. Meanwhile, Wen’er cautiously observed her surroundings. As the daughter of the Headmaster of the Southern Ridge Sect, she was very cautious in the ancient tomb.

As for Old Chen, the guy stuck closely by Wen’er’s side, chattering incessantly. His reputation as an old lecher was indeed well-deserved, so much so that Wen’er was tired of his chatter and wished to kick him away. However, the old rascal was like sticky candy, ignoring Wen’er’s displeasure shown on her face and continuing to stick by her side shamelessly.

Seeing Ye Qing approach, Wen’er finally breathed a sigh of relief and quickly walked over to him, saying, ”Big brother Ye, this Stone Corridor is really long. It seems it will take a while to get out!”

”No worries, since this is the Gate of Life, we can certainly get out!” Ye Qing replied casually, leading everyone to continue forward. He wasn’t worried about not getting out because Guiguzi’s inscription on the stele already mentioned that this was the Gate of Life; pushing open the stele would lead to the path of life, and they would certainly be able to exit eventually.

While everyone was walking along the Stone Corridor of the Gate of Life, within the Death Gate, the sound of flowing water suddenly resonated around. Just as Old Chen said earlier, within this cave, a stream appears at intervals, flowing along the cave’s walls, providing drinkable water, and most importantly, bringing fish along with the flow. Catching these fish provided food for sustenance.

The presence of water and food was the primary reason those werewolves could survive in the sealed cave for so many years.

Ye Qing was previously puzzled, unable to comprehend why Guiguzi would leave a water source for those werewolves. Logically, these servants of gods were enemies of humans, and Guiguzi would certainly wish to eradicate them completely. So why create such a lingering problem and provide them the means for survival? What did it all mean?

Ye Qing couldn’t fathom Guiguzi’s intentions. In fact, he didn’t know what events had transpired in that era to lead to this situation. However, the appearance of the stream produced crisp flowing water sounds in the silent cave.

As the sound of flowing water continued, one of the corpses on the cave floor moved slightly. If Ye Qing were observing, he would have noticed that the shaking corpse was identified by him as the dead Great Lord.

The sound of water continuously reached the Great Lord’s ears, gradually awakening his consciousness, and he slowly opened his eyes. The first sight was of the corpses lying beside him, including people from the Church and Wo Country’s ninjas, scattered haphazardly. They were his subordinates and those ninjas.

The Great Lord, just awakened, was still in a state of confusion. He slowly sat up, looking at the corpses, and after a while, started recalling what had happened earlier.

The Great Lord had initially rushed out of the cave full of giant men, intending to find the ancestor of the Dark Holy See before Ye Qing shattered the remaining sculptures. However, unfamiliar with the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams Formation, he didn’t understand the meaning of the Eight Fan Gates in the cave. Upon exiting, he randomly chose a gate and rushed in, unfortunately stepping directly into the Death Gate.

Ye Qing had personally experienced the conditions inside the Death Gate—the force of the Primal Mysterious Body was powerful enough to suppress and kill. The Great Lord, upon entering, was crushed to the ground by the overwhelming pressure before he even fully glimpsed the towering sculpture, unable to resist. He let out a scream but then could no longer utter a sound. He clearly felt the pressure forcing his blood out through his pores, leaving him powerless to resist. Even though he sensed others entering, he only heard a few screams before losing consciousness.

But why didn’t I die?

The Great Lord, looking at the surrounding corpses, was filled with doubt. Although the cave’s pressure was gone, he recalled its terror clearly, a force beyond his ability to combat. Logically, he should have been crushed to death under such pressure. Strangely, however, he survived, while those who entered afterward all perished. How could this be?

The Great Lord bent down, examining the nearby corpses closely, and found that their death conditions mirrored his own earlier injury—they were all squeezed to death, their blood forcefully expelled, leaving their bodies shriveled, a grim result of the pressure. But why, under that same force, did they perish while he lived?

Though powerful, the Great Lord knew his condition well. Having used a Forbidden Move previously, his strength hadn’t fully recovered, and he was not at the level of those Peak Masters. Moreover, under such pressure, even with full strength, it would be useless—it was just too overwhelming. Yet, why was he the only one who survived that pressure?
