Urban Martial Saint

Before the Great Lord could speak, the Church members immediately rushed out and clashed with the Wo Country’s Ninja.

The Church also had six or seven experts here. Although the Great Lord had just used the Forbidden Move and was completely powerless to make a move now, the fighting strength of both parties was not much different. Moreover, in the cave, there were so many werewolves, which was the fundamental reliance of the Church members.

The Great Lord did not stop them either. Although he was wary of Ye Qing, it didn’t mean he would be afraid of the Wo Country’s Ninja. In fact, his intuition told him that even though Ye Qing could wield the power of the Buddha’s Relic, he wouldn’t be able to sustain it for long. Since he had used Dracula’s Blood, he naturally understood the consequences of using this Forbidden Move. So, they waited here and did not leave, intending to seize the Buddha’s Relic from Ye Qing when he was exhausted.

Of course, to seize the Buddha’s Relic from Ye Qing, they would inevitably have to clash with the Wo Country’s Ninja. The Great Lord actually had already prepared to fight with the Wo Country’s Ninja; the timing of the confrontation was merely advanced, which was within his plan.

Watching the Church members and the Wo Country’s Ninja clash together, a hint of a smile appeared at the corner of Ye Qing’s mouth. This was precisely the effect he wanted, leading these two forces to clash first. Now, in the cave, Ye Qing and his two companions had the weakest strength, but both the Wo Country’s Ninja and the Church members had their sights set on them. If he could make these two groups fight, regardless of who wins or loses, there would only be one group left to deal with, and they would be severely weakened after the battle, which presented a great opportunity for Ye Qing.

Of course, if these two groups could fight to mutual destruction here, unable to overcome each other, losing all fighting strength, that would be the best result.

So, Ye Qing did not take this opportunity to leave but continued to make attacks on the werewolves around him. Although Ye Qing didn’t know the origin of these werewolves, he knew from their hostility only toward the Wo Country’s Ninja and his own group, sparing the Church members, that there must be some relationship between the werewolves and the Church. Therefore, Ye Qing had to help the Wo Country’s Ninja eliminate these werewolves, so they could focus on dealing with the Church members, thereby balancing the power between both sides to achieve his desired result.

The Church members hoped to use the werewolves to deal with the Wo Country’s Ninja, but seeing Ye Qing consistently hunting the werewolves made them greatly anxious. The Church members and the Wo Country’s Ninja were evenly matched now. Without the werewolves’ assistance, even if the Church members wanted to defeat the Wo Country’s Ninja, they would have to pay a heavy price, possibly resulting in mutual destruction.

The Wo Country’s Ninja did not think too much about it; the Great Lord used a Forbidden Move and couldn’t make a move anymore, leaving the Great Elder as the strongest on the scene. The Great Elder believed the Great Lord obtained something from the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master that could quickly enhance strength, so he wouldn’t let this opportunity slip, intending to seize it while the Great Lord was unable to act. Otherwise, he would have no chance once the Great Lord recovered.

Currently, the Great Elder was the strongest among them, so he confidently aimed to be the last one standing, intending to seize what the Great Lord had obtained. Thus, he was thoroughly commanding the Wo Country’s Ninja to confront the Church people with full force, wanting to resolve them swiftly and seize the item from the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master.

The Great Elder’s actions were entirely in line with Ye Qing’s wishes. In this moment, he killed a few more werewolves; only few were left. Moreover, these werewolves dared not approach Ye Qing anymore, nor did the Wo Country’s Ninja dare come close. So, for this moment, no one was interrupting the ongoing brawl between the two sides.

Ye Qing was happy to watch the show, observing the brawl between the two sides while also discreetly watching the surrounding situation.

The Wo Country’s Ninja had turned on all the flashlights, and with Ye Qing’s eyesight, the cave’s situation was almost entirely visible now.

The cave was huge, compared to the initial glimpse during the flare’s illumination, Ye Qing now clearly saw its details. The area of the cave was roughly as large as seven or eight football fields combined. Such a vast distance explained why it took so long for Ye Qing and his companions to reach the Gate of Life earlier.

Additionally, the cave was extremely tall; glancing upward, the top was about one hundred meters away from the bottom. Though this was merely based on Ye Qing’s eye estimation, accurate measurement would require specialized tools. Yet whether it was one hundred meters or fifty meters, for the small crowd below, it was all the same—none could reach the cave’s ceiling.

The cave’s perimeter had several entrances like the one Ye Qing and his companions had just used. Ye Qing mentally counted eight such portals in total. This confirmed Ye Qing’s prior speculation that the cave was indeed arranged according to the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams Formation. These portals corresponded to the Eight Fan Gates.

Ye Qing had already determined the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams Formation’s layout outside the cave. Now, he could easily identify which cave corresponded to which gate. Among these, the most crucial gates to mind were the Gate of Life and Death Gate. The Gate of Life was the exit from this cave, while the Death Gate, as the name implies, was impossible to leave alive once entered.

Besides the Gate of Life, Death Gate, and Open Door, the other five gates possessed traps. Ye Qing knew well that the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master must be hidden behind one of these gates. So, to find the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master and retrieve what was inside, Ye Qing had to carefully search within these five gates!

Ye Qing initially planned to explore these five gates after the Church members and Wo Country’s Ninja fought to mutual destruction. Yet, while awaiting the outcome of their clash, he suddenly realized that the werewolves previously retreating from him had vanished.

This realization shocked Ye Qing. Despite the cave’s vastness, its open surroundings offered no cover for the werewolves. Where could they run to? Had they perhaps hidden in one of the caves?

Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat. He quickly turned toward the Gate of Life and saw Fu Qingping and Wen’er still standing there, without a sign of werewolves nearby, which slightly eased his mind. As long as the werewolves hadn’t attacked Fu Qingping and Wen’er, it was acceptable. However, where did those werewolves go?

While Ye Qing was puzzled, a wolf howl suddenly echoed from one of the caves. Several werewolves emerged from that cave and charged towards Ye Qing.

Seeing these werewolves, Ye Qing’s brow furrowed. He had killed many of them earlier, and they were now very wary of him; why were they daring to attack again?

As Ye Qing pondered this, the Wo Country’s Ninja clashing with the Church members appeared panicked. These werewolves rushed forward with great momentum; if they attacked the Ninja too, they would be caught in a pincer movement. The Church members were already very strong; adding these werewolves would make them unbeatable.

”Ye Qing, remember our agreement?” The Great Elder shouted, cunningly using Huangfu Ziyu to threaten Ye Qing.

Actually, he didn’t need to say it; Ye Qing would certainly act. Having the Wo Country’s Ninja and Church members fight to mutual exhaustion, he wouldn’t allow these werewolves to disrupt the confrontation. Otherwise, if the Church emerged triumphant, Ye Qing would be in trouble next.

”Leave it to me!” Ye Qing shouted, sprinting towards the werewolves.

Seeing Ye Qing, the werewolves showed no signs of avoiding, instead letting out loud growls and undergoing a strange transformation. Their human bodies gradually turned more wolf-like. When they were less than ten meters from Ye Qing, they let out howls and altogether transformed into wolves, pouncing towards him.

This situation stunned Ye Qing, and the Church members, visibly shocked, stared at these werewolves turned true wolves agape.

”Heavens, it’s the Ancestral Bloodline!” The Great Lord’s eyes gleamed with shock as he looked towards the direction the werewolves had emerged from, trembling, ”What’s in that cave? How could it restore the Ancestral Blood of these werewolves?”

The Great Lord spoke English, but Ye Qing could clearly understand. Not knowing what Ancestral Blood meant, he gathered from both the Great Lord’s words and the Church members’ shocked expressions that these werewolves had remarkable origins. Most critically, these werewolves had an inseparable connection with the Church!

But why were there so many werewolves in the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master? These werewolves affiliated with the Church appeared in this cave, within the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master. Could it imply that during Guiguzi’s era, Huaxia Martial Artists interacted with the Church?

As Ye Qing’s mind was shaken, the transformed, wolf-like werewolves pounced. Ye Qing, having battled them before, was prepared, while their transformation to true wolves didn’t change the outcome. Ye Qing raised his hand, punching towards the lead werewolf.
