Urban Martial Saint

The Great Elder’s words were actually a hint to Ye Qing. If the obtained items are incomplete, then Huangfu Ziyu can’t return intact either. So, do what you need to do next.

To put it bluntly, the Great Elder was implying to Ye Qing that while dealing with these werewolves, he should also eliminate the people from the Church and seize the things they obtained from the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master. Only after handing over everything fully will we release Huangfu Ziyu.

This was exactly what Ye Qing wanted to hear from the Great Elder. While pursuing a werewolf, he said coldly, ”If I could defeat the people from the Church and take the things from their hands, would I have waited until now?”

These words greatly shocked the Great Elder. In this short amount of time, Ye Qing had already killed over a dozen werewolves. Honestly, the surrounding werewolves were now afraid of Ye Qing, not daring to approach him, which led to the situation of Ye Qing chasing them down. It’s worth noting that even with so many ninjas from Japan joining forces, they couldn’t kill those werewolves, which clearly showed Ye Qing’s strength. But at this moment, Ye Qing said he couldn’t defeat the people from the Church. Just how strong must the Church’s people be?

The Great Elder’s gaze towards the people of the Church changed slightly; if they were truly so powerful, even if they controlled Ye Qing, he couldn’t possibly protect them. If the Church wanted to kill them, surely this time they would face certain death.

No, there are no ’ifs’ in this matter. Because the Church certainly won’t spare them. Their grudges with both Japan’s ninjas and Huaxia’s martial artists are alike; once they meet, it’s a fight to the death.

Thinking of this, the Great Elder’s heart began to sink. Ye Qing and the people from the Church each obtained a part of the items from the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, enhancing their powers. So, Ye Qing couldn’t deal with the Church’s people, and vice versa, leading to the current situation. However, the critical issue is that the Church can’t deal with Ye Qing, but it doesn’t mean they can’t deal with us. This group managed to tie with Fu Qingping, so trying to kill them would be as easy as squeezing four fingers together!

Panicking internally to the extreme, the Great Elder’s first thought was to escape this location as quickly as possible. But just as he was about to leave, Ye Qing suddenly spoke: ”Great Elder, aren’t you taking action yet? What are you waiting for? Let me tell you, I’ve obtained a portion of the items from the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master and helped you fend off so many werewolves. That’s the best I can do. As for what they obtained, if you can’t snatch it, you can’t blame me for not trying!”

”What do you mean by not taking action now?” The Great Elder got angry upon hearing this and said deeply, ”They already have the items from the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, how do you expect us to act? Ye Qing, let me tell you, if we don’t acquire the complete items from the tomb, you might as well prepare to collect Huangfu Ziyu’s corpse!”

Once again, the Great Elder threatened Ye Qing using Huangfu Ziyu, reigniting Ye Qing’s anger. But outwardly, he showed little emotion, instead coolly smiling: ”You are the Great Elder of Iga-ryu, yet your foresight and mind are akin to a pig’s.”

”What do you mean?” The Great Elder fumed, being cursed by Ye Qing like that, his anger peaked.

”I mean you’re a stupid pig!” Ye Qing shouted, ”Didn’t I already say? The Great Lord obtained the items from the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, but he also tied with my master, ending in mutual exhaustion. So, the Great Lord can’t make any moves now, and as for the others, they didn’t get the items from the tomb either; they at most have the same strength as you. Do you really think they can kill you? Hmph, if they truly had the power to kill you, they would have attacked long ago; do you think they’d leave you alive until now?”

These words made the Great Elder’s heart stir; indeed, the Church’s people have been here for a while now, yet haven’t made any moves, which is very strange. Could it be as Ye Qing said, those who truly obtained the items from the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master from the Church have already tied with Fu Qingping, leaving them unable to fight us now? But if this is true, why did Ye Qing say he couldn’t defeat these people?

”Didn’t you just say you...” The Great Elder looked at Ye Qing, curious.

”I indeed can’t defeat them!” Ye Qing said while crushing a werewolf, ”Do you understand? What I got is just a Taoist Formation from the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, along with methods to deal with these werewolves. I can handle these werewolves, but that’s just the secret technique left by Sage Guiguzi; it has nothing to do with my actual strength!”

Hearing this, the Great Elder suddenly understood. So, this was the reason; what both sides obtained was different. The Church obtained the power within the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master and methods to avoid these werewolves. Ye Qing, however, acquired the Taoist Formation hidden within the tomb and ways to eliminate werewolves. This means what Ye Qing obtained wasn’t power; it’s sufficient for killing werewolves but not for dealing with experts. After all, methods for killing werewolves may not necessarily work for killing experts!

Of course, the Great Elder retained some doubts regarding Ye Qing’s words. But considering that Huangfu Ziyu was under their control and that they could still control Ye Qing, they weren’t too worried. Besides, the Church’s spectating attitude also hinted to them that the Church might not have much strength at the moment. If the Church truly possessed overwhelming strength, they would have struck long ago; why would they wait until now?

The Great Elder’s considerations were entirely due to the language barrier between them and the Church. The Church couldn’t understand what Ye Qing and the Great Elder were discussing, and the reason they stayed on the sidelines without taking action was mainly because of those werewolves.

In truth, the Church didn’t know the identity of these werewolves either. However, these werewolves had many similarities with the Church’s Dark Werewolves, forcing them to suspect these werewolves might be related to the Church. Moreover, the key point was that since these werewolves appeared, they hadn’t attacked the Church but kept attacking Japan’s ninjas and Ye Qing’s group, prompting the Church to consider using these werewolves to eliminate Ye Qing and the Japanese ninjas, hence their lack of action.

But the situation developed entirely unexpectedly. Ye Qing kept eliminating werewolves, leaving the Church’s ranks nervous and fearful. Especially the Great Lord, watching Ye Qing skillfully take down the werewolves, he suddenly thought: Could Ye Qing have utilized the Buddha’s Relic again?

This thought alarmed the Great Lord. He had never seen the Buddha’s Relic’s power but knew enough to compare it. The Buddha’s Relic is an artifact that even the Church fears, comparable to the Dracula’s Blood he previously consumed. Moreover, the critical factor is that the Buddha’s Relic can be used multiple times, whereas Dracula’s Blood diminishes with each use, thus indicating the disparity between the two. If the Buddha’s Relic possessed Dracula’s Blood’s power, then at present, the Church would be no match for Ye Qing. If Ye Qing targeted them, how could they withstand Ye Qing wielding the Buddha’s Relic?

The Great Lord did not know what Ye Qing and the Great Elder discussed, but watching Ye Qing destroy the werewolves, his heart shuddered. However, to Japan’s ninjas, it seemed like these people lacked the power from the Ghost Valley Master’s tomb, thus not acting against them. Particularly the Great Elder, observing the pale-faced Great Lord, internally schemed.

The Great Lord obtained things from the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master and could tie with Fu Qingping, which shows the power of the items from the tomb. If he could acquire said items, his strength would surely accelerate, at least reaching Fu Qingping’s level. In this way, wouldn’t he too dominate the world?

With this in mind, the Great Elder’s gaze towards the Great Lord grew fervent. Striking while he’s weak, the Great Elder understood this principle well. Making a move when the Great Lord and Fu Qingping were mutually exhausted to seize the items in the tomb would be the best opportunity. Waiting for the Great Lord to recover would mean losing the chance.

So after a moment of contemplation, the Great Elder quickly waved his hand, directly pointing at the Church’s people, and said deeply, ”Kill them!”

Japan had seven experts remaining, previously suppressed by the werewolves, but luckily Ye Qing intervened and fended them off. Now that the ninjas from Japan were idle, upon receiving the Great Elder’s command, they immediately charged towards the Church’s group.

The Church noticed the werewolves fleeing from Ye Qing’s attacks, aware that the situation had turned unfavorable, but what surprised them was that Ye Qing wasn’t the first to attack them; rather, it was the Japanese ninjas. This situation angered the Church’s people.

To note, whenever the Church previously attacked Huaxia, they would face counterattacks from Huaxia’s martial artists and Japanese ninjas. Frankly, the Church’s grudges with Huaxia and Japan are longstanding and deep-rooted. This time, Japan’s ninjas took action again, naturally reminding them of past occasions where Huaxia’s martial artists and Japanese ninjas joined forces in response, hence inciting their fury.
