Urban Martial Saint

In this matter, Helian Tiehua absolutely supports Huangfu Ziyu. The personal prestige of Huangfu Ziyu isn’t sufficient, but Helian Tiehua is different. The title of Great General is very influential, even among the Seven Great Families.

Now that Helian Tiehua has spoken, the Head of the Bai Family and the Head of the Wang Family have nothing to say. Even if they want to get angry, they dare not speak up when facing Helian Tiehua.

”If that’s the case, I’ll go first!” Chen San, sitting on the other side, suddenly spoke and casually took the wooden box on the table.

Chen San did not intend to seize the position of Family Head but rather to start by trying out the Sun Shooting Bow. In doing so, he acknowledged Huangfu Ziyu’s words, and the others would have to continue.

”You...” The Head of the Bai Family wanted to stop him, but Helian Tiehua clapped his hands and said, ”Alright, let my disciple have a try first!”

At this point, the Head of the Bai Family couldn’t even speak. Helian Tiehua spoke of his disciple; if he tried to stop him again, wouldn’t that embarrass Helian Tiehua? Although their family had elders coming out of seclusion, there were also powerful elders among the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance. They weren’t afraid of Huangfu Ziyu, but that didn’t mean they weren’t apprehensive of Helian Tiehua!

Chen San took the wooden box, opened it directly, and took out the Sun Shooting Bow. He tried to pull the bowstring, but in his hands, the light Sun Shooting Bow couldn’t be moved at all, showing that the bow didn’t recognize him.

”Indeed, it’s a Rare Treasured Artifact, but unfortunately, I lack the fate to earn its favor!” Chen San sighed, placed the Sun Shooting Bow back into the wooden box, pushed it to the person beside him, and smiled, ”Alright, it’s your turn.”

The person next to Chen San was also a member of a family that had almost been destroyed, with few members left. He had no say among these Seven Families. Since Chen San had already tried it, he followed suit. However, the result was the same; he couldn’t use the Sun Shooting Bow and had to pass it on.

After passing through a couple of people, it reached the Head of the Bai Family. By this time, he could no longer stop it. Looking at the wooden box before him, he was somewhat dizzy.

This is the Sun Shooting Bow, a famed instrument capable of turning an ordinary master into a peak master. If it accepted him, he would qualify to challenge other peak masters. But is it so easy to get the Sun Shooting Bow to recognize its master?

The Head of the Bai Family was very reluctant to try. Once he tried, he would be tacitly acknowledging Huangfu Ziyu as Family Head. However, at this point, if he didn’t try, he would be giving up this opportunity, and Huangfu Ziyu would still be the Family Head. So, helplessly, he gritted his teeth, opened the wooden box, and took out the Sun Shooting Bow, hoping to try his luck.

But the situation with the Sun Shooting Bow in his hands was the same as before. Since the Sun Shooting Bow had recognized Huangfu Ziyu, how could it accept anyone else? However, the Head of the Bai Family was very unwilling, holding onto the Sun Shooting Bow for over ten minutes without putting it down.

”Bai, I think it’s best to let the next person have a try,” Helian Tiehua said calmly, ”It seems the Sun Shooting Bow isn’t destined for you!”

The Head of the Bai Family glanced at Helian Tiehua and slowly placed the Sun Shooting Bow back into the wooden box. He was truly unwilling, but reluctance was of no use. He couldn’t control the Sun Shooting Bow, nor could he control the entire Seven Great Families.

The subsequent attempts by others ended the same way; none of them could get the Sun Shooting Bow to recognize a master. Eventually, the Sun Shooting Bow returned to the center of the conference table.

”It seems none of you can get the Sun Shooting Bow to recognize a master!” Huangfu Ziyu slowly pulled the wooden box to herself, took out the Sun Shooting Bow, and played with it for a while. Suddenly, she turned the Sun Shooting Bow and drew it fully aimed directly at the Head of the Bai Family sitting opposite her.

The Head of the Bai Family was shocked. Even without an arrow, the Sun Shooting Bow didn’t need one. The air arrow shot from a fully drawn bow carried the power of a peak master’s full-force attack; killing him would be easy. If Huangfu Ziyu suddenly released the bowstring, his life would be over.

Seeing Huangfu Ziyu suddenly draw the bow aimed at the Head of the Bai Family, everyone else was also taken aback. Helian Tiehua’s expression changed slightly, worried that if Huangfu Ziyu capriciously killed the Head of the Bai Family, it would be troublesome.

Fortunately, even though Huangfu Ziyu drew the bow, she didn’t release the bowstring. She quietly looked at the Head of the Bai Family and said, ”Uncle Bai, does this mean the Sun Shooting Bow has recognized its master?”

The Head of the Bai Family now feels like his neck is under a guillotine, drenched in sweat. Upon hearing Huangfu Ziyu’s question, how could he dare not to answer.

”Yes, of course, it counts.” The Head of the Bai Family replied.

”That means, I should now be considered the head of the Seven Great Families!” Huangfu Ziyu asked again, not moving the Sun Shooting Bow away.

”This...” The Head of the Bai Family hesitated a bit; if he said yes, then Huangfu Ziyu would have the authority to command them. If he said no, who could say Huangfu Ziyu wouldn’t suddenly release the bowstring? Moreover, Huangfu Ziyu having the Sun Shooting Bow recognize her as its master meant she was a family head. If he said no, it would be seen as disrespecting the ancestral rules!

”Does this really need any thought?” Helian Tiehua said: ”Back then, the ancestors of the Seven Families and the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance set a rule that whoever could have the Sun Shooting Bow recognize them as its master would be the Patriarch of the Seven Families. Everyone in the Seven Great Families must obey the orders of the Patriarch. Whoever disobeys will die painfully by ten thousand needles piercing their heart. Anyone who dares to defy or not recognize the family head can be killed without question. Zi Yu, you are now the Patriarch of the Seven Families!”

Huangfu Ziyu did not put away the Sun Shooting Bow and still aimed it at the Head of the Bai Family, smiling lightly: ”I want to hear an answer from Uncle Bai.”

The words Helian Tiehua just said were to tell Huangfu Ziyu that if the Head of the Bai Family dared to deny her identity as the Patriarch, she would have the right to kill him. Under such circumstances, the Head of the Bai Family wasn’t stupid; how could he deny it?

”Of course, since you have made the Sun Shooting Bow recognize you as its master, according to ancestral rules, you are the Patriarch of the Seven Great Families!” The Head of the Bai Family said with difficulty, words he really didn’t want to say.

”That’s good to hear!” Huangfu Ziyu smiled faintly and slowly put away the Sun Shooting Bow. Her gaze swept over the people around, finally resting on the Head of the Wang Family, smiling: ”Uncle Wang, what do you think?”

Since the Head of the Bai Family had already acknowledged it, the Head of the Wang Family certainly didn’t dare to object either. He nodded slowly, though his heart was filled with frustration.

”In that case, it seems everyone has acknowledged my status as Patriarch!” Huangfu Ziyu nodded and said: ”Now, as Patriarch, I am issuing my first command. As I mentioned earlier, the Bai Family and the Wang Family will each send eight hundred members, with three thousand each, to jointly ambush the Earth Fourth Hall. Any issues with that?”

The Head of the Bai Family and the Head of the Wang Family exchanged glances. Although both were reluctant, they dared not oppose. They knew clearly that if they opposed now, Huangfu Ziyu would not hesitate to raise the Sun Shooting Bow and kill them.

”Patriarch Huangfu, with just members from our two families, taking on the Earth Fourth Hall might not be so easy?” The Head of the Bai Family said unwillingly.

”Earth Fourth Hall is among the weakest of the Twelve Green Halls, with only a few top-level masters inside and no acme masters overseeing. Moreover, this time they crossed the sea with few people. The two of your families together will have no problem dealing with them!” Helian Tiehua paused and continued: ”Besides, you are not the only ones acting in this battle; others are watching in the shadows. The Earth Fourth Hall brought the map from the Heaven Earth Man Tri-Map. Those coveting the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates will surely try to seize this map. In our previous confrontations, we had the Seven Keys and people plotted against us. But now we don’t even have the Seven Weapons; no one would attack us. So, this is an advantage for us!”

Since Helian Tiehua had spoken this way, the Head of the Bai Family and the Head of the Wang Family had no other choice. They scratched their heads and in the end, could only accept, preparing to gather their people to intercept the Earth Fourth Hall from the Twelve Green Halls!

Seeing their expressions, Helian Tiehua secretly laughed. The family heads of the Seven Great Families are all cunning, always finding ways to shirk duties against the Twelve Green Halls. But this time, Huangfu Ziyu gave them a fierce warning as her opening move, leaving them with no chance to slack off. This is also a good thing for the Seven Steering Committees of the Hong Alliance. The only problem is, the power of the Huangfu Household is no longer what it once was. When the elders of these families come out of retreat, they might put pressure on Huangfu Ziyu!

Helian Tiehua glanced at Huangfu Ziyu beside him, feeling a bit worried. If only Ye Qing’s strength was still around, it would be great. Ye Qing is not weak himself and can also rally all kinds of masters. Moreover, he has a lot of manpower in Shenchuan City, which could definitely enhance the Huangfu Household’s strength. But given Ye Qing’s current situation, Helian Tiehua dared not involve him in this matter. After all, with the world about to fall into chaos and masters everywhere, Ye Qing doesn’t even have the ability to protect himself. If he gets involved, someone might take advantage of him!

After arranging the matters of the Bai and Wang families, Huangfu Ziyu went on to arrange the affairs of other families, including mobilizing a large number of people from the Proud Family to prepare for the upcoming confrontation with the Human Fourth Hall. However, Ao Wuchang did not object at all. Since the members of the Bai and Wang families were already dispatched, the Proud Family couldn’t hide away. Even if there were losses in this battle, other families would face losses too. As long as the great families were on the same side, he didn’t have to worry about being suppressed by other families!
