Old Wang Ba’s Qi Luck Technique is a unique secret technique of the Iron Calculation Sect, something even Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue cannot fathom. So, in these matters, Old Wang Ba’s calculations are definitely reliable.

Upon hearing that Ye Qing’s Qi luck is weakening, everyone was extremely worried. As Old Wang Ba said, if Ye Qing truly became useless, none of them would know how to face him. After all, Ye Qing took this path to kill the Corpse Ghost Dragon!

”No matter what, he’s still alive, and that’s enough!” Shen Tianjun clapped his hands, looked at Old Wang Ba, and said solemnly, ”Can you calculate where he is now?”

Old Wang Ba looked at the copper coins on the table and shook his head, ”I can calculate it, but it’s best not to.”

”Why?” Helian Tiehua asked curiously.

”Ye Qing’s situation is very troublesome right now; his Qi luck is almost exhausted. In such a situation, it’s best to let things happen naturally. If we can find him, that’s our good luck, without consuming his Qi luck.” Old Wang Ba paused and said solemnly, ”However, if we insist on using this divination method to search for him, it will not only consume our Qi luck but also his. Given his current state, if his Qi luck suffers further depletion, I’m afraid even if we calculate his location, we might not find him alive!”

These words made everyone in the room exchange glances, not really understanding these things. Seeing Old Wang Ba’s explanation, it seemed indeed quite troublesome.

Shen Tianjun frowned, ”But as you just said, Ye Qing’s Qi luck is nearly depleted. In such a case, if we don’t look for him, can he possibly find us?”

”If he finds us, that is destiny. But to use the divination technique to find him, that is determined by Qi luck,” Old Wang Ba said. ”Destiny is all-encompassing, centered on three key elements: life grid, Feng Shui, and Qi luck. Although Ye Qing’s Qi luck is lacking, his life grid and Feng Shui remain, and thus, his destiny is not too bad. So, he will surely be able to find us.”

At this point, Old Wang Ba paused again and said solemnly, ”Wait, I will calculate Ye Qing’s Qi luck situation again.”

”Didn’t you just calculate it?” Shen Tianjun asked in surprise.

”I only calculated whether he was still alive just now, and indeed his Qi luck is weak. However, to understand the true situation of his Qi luck, I need a more targeted calculation!” Old Wang Ba picked up the tortoise shell and copper coins from the table, and this time took a bit longer.

Everyone stood by, watching. They did not understand the ways of Qi luck and could only stare blankly.

After a while, Old Wang Ba finished the divination. He took a deep breath and said solemnly, ”Unexpected, truly unexpected!”

”What is it? What is unexpected?” Bai Li Xi exclaimed, ”Hey, kid, can’t you speak more straightforwardly? Like you’re constipated, spitting out one word at a time, what fun is that? Don’t you know everyone is anxious?”

Having been scolded by Bai Li Xi, Old Wang Ba had no time to retort. He looked up at Shen Tianjun and said solemnly, ”Ye Qing’s act of killing the Corpse Ghost Dragon this time did not consume much Qi luck.”

”Ah?” Everyone was taken aback, and Helian Tiehua asked curiously, ”Then why did you say earlier that his killing of the Corpse Ghost Dragon exhausted his Qi luck?”

”That was just my guess before. In reality, his act of killing the Corpse Ghost Dragon didn’t expend much Qi luck,” Old Wang Ba said solemnly. ”On the contrary, his Qi luck was drained by someone else.”

”Who?” everyone immediately asked.

Old Wang Ba took a deep breath and said solemnly, ”The people from the Twelve Green Halls!”

”The people from the Twelve Green Halls?” Everyone was surprised, not understanding what Old Wang Ba was saying.

”Now I get it, why Ding Lianshun and Yin Xianzi have been helping Ye Qing so actively, dealing with those sorcerers from Nanyang and eliminating many of his enemies,” Old Wang Ba said coldly. ”In retrospect, those people were simply harboring ulterior motives. They helped Ye Qing do many things that should not have been his responsibility, and all those credits went to Ye Qing, thus consuming his Qi luck. In fact, they are the ones who consumed most of Ye Qing’s Qi luck!”

Listening to this, everyone’s expressions changed. Helian Tiehua slammed his fist on the table beside him and said sternly, ”Those scoundrels, no wonder they helped so eagerly, and it turned out to be for this reason. Ye Qing even risked his life to save them from the Demon Hideout Cave, only to end up betrayed like this, which is truly infuriating!”

Shen Tianjun’s face was also quite distressed. He furrowed his brow and said, ”So, if I help Ye Qing do something, will it also consume Ye Qing’s Qi Luck?”

”Of course.” Old Wang Ba said, ”Qi Luck, to put it bluntly, is just luck. Let me give a simple example. For instance, when Ye Qing is fighting someone, and suddenly someone comes along to help him defeat that person, that’s Ye Qing’s luck. If Ye Qing can defeat that person himself, then not much Qi Luck will be consumed. But if Ye Qing is not that person’s match, then more luck will be consumed.”

Everyone looked at each other. Helian Tiehua frowned and said, ”According to what you say, shouldn’t we help others with anything at all?”

”Do I even need to say it?” Old Wang Ba said, ”It’s like this time dealing with the Corpse Ghost Dragon, why didn’t Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue intervene? Do you really think he had other matters? It’s not like that, even if Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue were to intervene, he might not be able to handle the Corpse Ghost Dragon, but it would consume the Qi Luck of those on his side, so he didn’t act. In fact, since ancient times, high-ranking members of the Taoist Sect have been like this. They generally do not act unless absolutely necessary, and when they do act, it might not be helping people, sometimes it can even harm them!”

Everyone was once again amazed, for these things were something they hadn’t even thought about before. Having heard Old Wang Ba’s explanation, they learned quite a lot.

”All this talk, what exactly is Qi Luck?” Bai Li Xi couldn’t help but ask.

Old Wang Ba glanced at Bai Li Xi and said, ”Ancient legends say the cause in a past life shapes the result in the next life. Karmic Retribution is an endless cycle. What is called Qi Luck, ancient explanation is, all sorts of causes in a past life, all sorts of effects in the next life. Good causes in the past life result in good effects in the next life. Bad causes result in bad effects. So, the ancient saying goes, ’Good begets good, bad begets bad’, the Six Paths Cycle is eternal. The way of Qi Luck, to put it plainly, is how many good or bad deeds you did in the past life, and the results you get in your next life.”

”What you’re saying is too mysterious!” Helian Tiehua said, ”Is there really the notion of reincarnation?”

”How should I know.” Old Wang Ba shrugged and said, ”What I just mentioned is merely what’s stated in ancient books. However, the way of Qi Luck is really hard to define, and no one knows for certain what’s causing it. Let me give a simple example: some people are particularly unlucky from the moment they are born, while others have good luck from the start. Who can say why? So, the notion of luck exists, but as for its exact cause, no one has figured it out.”

Everyone looked at each other, hearing Old Wang Ba talk so much, they still didn’t understand what exactly Qi Luck is. But judging by the situation, it seemed even the people of Iron Calculation Sect couldn’t clarify what Qi Luck actually is. So they didn’t pursue the question further.

”There’s also a very important point…” Old Wang Ba said solemnly, ”Looking at the hexagram, Ye Qing killing the Corpse Ghost Dragon didn’t consume much Qi Luck, which is not a good sign!”

”What do you mean?” Everyone was puzzled.

Old Wang Ba was silent for a moment and said, ”Actually, when I was casting that hexagram just now, I started to have doubts. Given the strength of the Corpse Ghost Dragon and the power of the Honored Buddha’s Relic Sharira, if Ye Qing used it to kill the Corpse Ghost Dragon, the three years of great fortune I previously lent him wouldn’t be enough. He should have died during the battle, but Ye Qing did not die. So, I cast another divination. The result confirmed my suspicion, Ye Qing killing the Corpse Ghost Dragon didn’t consume much Qi Luck. And this can only mean one thing!”

”What does it mean?” Everyone hurriedly looked at Old Wang Ba, all very nervous.

”That is…” Old Wang Ba glanced at everyone and said solemnly, ”The Corpse Ghost Dragon isn’t dead yet!”

”What!?” Everyone exclaimed at the same time, their expressions changed drastically. They had seen the Corpse Ghost Dragon’s corpse, it had been torn to pieces, how could it not be dead?

”Impossible, right?” Helian Tiehua said, ”We’ve already retrieved parts of the Corpse Ghost Dragon’s body, it’s been torn to pieces, its body is at least in dozens of segments, it makes no sense that it’s not dead. Even if he has an Indestructible Demon Body, he can’t still be alive!”

”That I don’t know.” Old Wang Ba pointed to the copper coins on the table and said, ”I’m just speaking based on the hexagram, and the hexagram shows this. If it’s dead, Ye Qing wouldn’t consume so little Qi Luck. It’s not dead, then this matter might not be simple!”

”This…” Everyone looked at each other, they obviously believed Old Wang Ba’s words. Old Wang Ba’s Divination Technique is truly extraordinary, leaving no room for doubt.

”Torn to pieces and still not dead, how is that possible?” Helian Tiehua murmured.

”I’ve followed my master for many years, and have never seen anyone torn to pieces could still be alive. Old Wang Ba, are you joking with me!” Bai Li Xi also muttered, Old Wang Ba shrugged and pointed to the hexagram on the table, but didn’t say much.

”Wait!” Suddenly, Shen Tianjun exclaimed softly. He looked at everyone and said solemnly, ”Do you remember, Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue once said that the Corpse Ghost Dragon has a Doppelganger Technique? He planted a clone in his first disciple, Master Nai Kun’s body, and later that clone entered the Demon Hideout Cave to save him. So, do you think the Corpse Ghost Dragon might have left behind a second clone? Ye Qing did indeed tear his main body into pieces, but his clone is still alive. Therefore, he’s not dead!”
