Urban Martial Saint

Right Protector suddenly became furious, which startled everyone at Sha Men. To protect an outsider like this, and even lash out at the people of Sha Men, wasn’t this exceedingly strange? What exactly was his relationship with Huangfu Ziyu, and why was he so protective over her?

Silenced by the Right Protector’s fury, everyone dared not say anything further, while Huangfu Ziyu herself was completely baffled, unable to understand why the Right Protector wanted to help her.

Ignoring the gazes of those around him, the Right Protector merely looked quietly at Huangfu Ziyu and said, ”Miss Huangfu, you may leave.”

”Ah?” Huangfu Ziyu was even more surprised; she had thought there was a tough fight ahead. Could it be this simple to just let her go?

”We of Sha Men are not your enemies,” the Right Protector said with a light smile. ”On the contrary, we all share the same aim!”

Huangfu Ziyu also wanted to deal with the people of the Shen Family, which indeed aligned with the aims of Sha Men.

”Even if we share the same objective, I could never stoop to such vile deeds!” Huangfu Ziyu replied sternly.

The Right Protector’s expression darkened slightly, but he kept his anger in check and just waved his hand, saying, ”To achieve the goal, I can sacrifice everything, including my moral integrity. One day, someone will understand that all I have done has meaning!”

”Hmph, aren’t you afraid of earning an eternal infamy?” Huangfu Ziyu retorted coldly. Without lingering further, she turned around, jumped out the window, and left.

Seeing Huangfu Ziyu escape, the people of Sha Men became anxious. Netherworld Scholar turned his head quickly towards the Right Protector, urging anxiously, ”Right Protector, why did you let her go? How... how is she suddenly a friend of our Sha Men?”

”I told you, she and we have the same enemy!” the Right Protector said sternly. ”Huangfu Ziyu also harbors deep hatred toward the Shen Family. In dealing with the Shen Family, we share a common objective!”

”Huangfu Ziyu apprenticed under Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun, how could she possibly hate the Shen Family?” Netherworld Scholar asked.

”That, you do not know,” Demon Queen He Qinghua replied with a cold laugh. ”From what I understand, after Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun left the Shen Family, Huangfu Ziyu was no longer well-regarded there. Especially, Old Madam even betrothed her to that so-called senior brother. Once, the senior brother attempted to take liberties with her, but she killed him. Afterward, she fled from the Xihang Shen Family and killed two groups of people the Xihang Shen Family sent to hunt her down, irreversibly setting herself against the Shen Family. The Huangfu Household was also based in Xihang previously, and she vowed to revitalize the Huangfu Household, but for many years she never returned to Xihang because of the feud with the Shen Family. For so many years, the Shen Family has effectively barred her from stepping foot in Xihang!”

Enlightened, Netherworld Scholar said, ”I see, no wonder she seems to hate the Shen Family so much!”

”So what?” Black Asura spat resentfully. ”She’s just a woman, even if she shares our enemy, how much can she really help us? Just now, if we had kept her and taken the Cold Moon Blade, our strength would surely have increased much more; we don’t need her help at all!”

”Exactly,” Ghost King Li Ruoyuan concurred. ”Besides, this Huangfu Ziyu has repeatedly interfered with our plans. Keeping her around is really of no benefit to us; we might as well have killed her cleanly!”

”No need to kill, just cripple her martial arts,” Netherworld Scholar said with a lascivious laugh. ”Cripple her martial arts, and give her to me for handling—I’ll surely make her beg for life but plead for death, haha…”

Before Netherworld Scholar could finish, someone suddenly rushed over. Netherworld Scholar didn’t even have time to react before his face took two slaps, causing him to stumble back several steps with his head ringing. Once he had recovered somewhat, he looked carefully and saw the Right Protector standing in front of him, fuming with rage. Netherworld Scholar couldn’t help but be stunned and said, ”What... why did you hit me?”

”Watch your words from now on!” the Right Protector said sternly. ”I’ll say it again, Huangfu Ziyu is our friend. If you continue to speak disrespectfully like this, I’ll cut out your tongue!”

Seeing the Right Protector’s grim and icy eyes, Netherworld Scholar was furious inside but still dared not say anything. He was very aware of the Right Protector’s temper; once truly enraged, he could indeed kill.

The others also clammed up. Meanwhile, a subordinate of the Right Protector came over and asked, ”Right Protector, what should we do now?”

The Right Protector looked around at the Lin Family’s people inside the house, slowly shook his head, and said, ”There’s no time left, the police will probably arrive soon; let’s withdraw first!”

With their strength, they were not actually afraid of the police. But the problem was, the police had guns, and there were many of them. In a chaotic fight, if they sustained any injuries, wouldn’t that be a loss not worth the gain? Hence, without hesitation, everyone swiftly left the Lin Family Courtyard.

Meanwhile, Ye Qing, after tossing the Cold Moon Blade to Huangfu Ziyu, immediately ran out of the Lin Family Courtyard. However, the signal jammer’s coverage was extensive, and it was only after he had run another li that he received a signal, hastily calling Zhao Chengshuang to briefly explain the situation.

Upon hearing that everyone at the Lin Family was subdued, Zhao Chengshuang was taken aback and immediately gathered people to come to the rescue.

After making the call, Ye Qing didn’t leave, but turned around and returned to the Lin Family Courtyard. Although he knew he was a burden, he couldn’t bear to have Huangfu Ziyu remain to cover their escape. After making the call to the police, he felt slightly reassured; he wanted to see what was happening to Huangfu Ziyu, and no matter what, he couldn’t let her suffer any disadvantage.

However, to his surprise, before he reached the attic, he saw Huangfu Ziyu jump out of a window and scale the wall to leave from the other side. It seemed that she was unharmed and had made a full retreat.

Ye Qing took a deep breath and, not daring to return to the attic area, hurried to scale the wall and chased in the direction Huangfu Ziyu had run.

After chasing her for about five li, Ye Qing had not caught up with Huangfu Ziyu. However, two people had followed him from behind—it was the brothers Xu Cunxiao and Xu Cunzhi.

The two brothers had followed Ye Qing all the way to the Lin Family Courtyard and witnessed everything that had happened. They did not intervene directly because they did not wish to expose themselves in front of the Sha Men members just yet. When Huangfu Ziyu appeared and saved Ye Qing, they seized the opportunity and continued the chase to this place.

Keeping their distance from Ye Qing, Xu Cunzhi suddenly quickened his pace, arriving in front of Ye Qing and blocking his path. He smiled and said, ”Mr. Ye, we meet again, don’t we?”

Seeing the two men, Ye Qing immediately furrowed his brows and said in a deep voice, ”It’s you two?”

”It seems you remember us quite well!” Xu Cunzhi replied coldly with a smile, ”No wonder, since you almost died at our hands last time. But really, you were incredibly lucky last time. To think you survived a fall from such a high cliff because a crooked tree caught you—it’s really quite the story!”

Xu Cunzhi of course did not know that Ye Qing’s survival was not solely thanks to that tree. If it weren’t for the monk at the bottom of the valley, even if Ye Qing had survived, he likely would have ended up with a broken arm!

Ye Qing frowned deeply, slowly gripping the Seven-Star Ancient Sword in his hand, and said in a deep voice, ”It seems you are in league with those who ambushed the Shen family this morning!”

”You’re right, those people this morning were indeed with us.” Xu Cunzhi sneered coldly, ”Otherwise, why do you think we came looking for you? You killed our second brother, and our eldest brother has ordered us to bring your head back to him!”

”So you’re saying that Uncle Tie, Tie Yongwen’s death is also related to you?” Ye Qing said solemnly.

”To be precise, we did it!” Xu Cunzhi glanced at Xu Cunxiao next to him and with a smile said, ”Tie Yongwen was personally killed by my brother!”

Xu Cunxiao made no attempt to stop Xu Cunzhi from speaking these words because they knew that Huangfu Ziyu had gone far. Now, no one would come to save Ye Qing, and they had already made up their minds to kill him, so they did not fear telling him these things.

”Die!” Ye Qing yelled without any hesitation and swung his sword directly at Xu Cunxiao.

Xu Cunzhi had personally admitted that Xu Cunxiao was the killer of Tie Yongwen. What more was there for Ye Qing to say? The killer of Tie Yongwen must die; that had always been Ye Qing’s vow!

Fueled by rage, Ye Qing’s swordplay intensified, and his Sword Qi soared, slashing directly at Xu Cunxiao.

Xu Cunxiao dared not directly block the Seven-Star Ancient Sword and hastily dodged to the side. Although this strike did not hit Xu Cunxiao, it chopped down a small tree behind him.

”Go!” Xu Cunzhi shouted loudly, kicking the fallen small tree, sending it flying towards Ye Qing.

Ye Qing, without any hesitation, counterattacked with two swift strikes, cutting the small tree into three sections that fell to the ground. Meanwhile, Xu Cunzhi took the opportunity to rush towards him and landed a heavy punch on Ye Qing’s chest.

Xu Cunxiao and Xu Cunzhi were much more skilled than Ye Qing. This blow sent Ye Qing staggering backwards. Clenching his teeth, he suppressed the churning blood in his chest and swung his sword in retaliation.

”Hmph, overestimating your own abilities!” Xu Cunzhi scoffed coldly, leaping up to avoid Ye Qing’s strike and then smashed another punch down.

Ye Qing tried to raise his sword, but Xu Cunxiao also rushed in, kicking at his arm and almost dislodging the Seven-Star Ancient Sword from his grip. Thankfully, Ye Qing held tightly onto the sword, attempting to withdraw his hand, but it was too late as Xu Cunzhi landed another punch on his chest.

This blow sent Ye Qing flying back, smashing heavily against a tree. He vomited three mouthfuls of blood and looked severely weakened, having sustained serious internal injuries.

”Hmph, with such meager skills, you still managed to kill my second brother and take the Cold Moon Blade?” Xu Cunzhi sneered disdainfully, ”My second brother truly disgraced himself by being killed by such a weakling!”

”Enough talk, kill him!” Xu Cunxiao said sternly.

”This time, he must die!” Xu Cunzhi coldly laughed, walking slowly toward Ye Qing and slowly raised his hand. At this moment, Ye Qing tried several times to lift his sword but could not, completely weakened by his severe injuries!
