Urban Martial Saint

Not only did Shen Da think this way, but actually, everyone in the Shen Family thought the same. They could understand why Shen Tianjun bowed and apologized to the Morning Sha Men. However, they couldn’t comprehend why Shen Tianjun allowed those people from Xi Hang to leave. They simply couldn’t understand why Shen Tianjun would let them go after these people from Xi Hang had killed so many from the Shen Family without any prior grudge or feud.

You see, Shen Qi was Shen Tianjun’s own son. His own son was killed; didn’t Shen Tianjun want revenge? Although he had broken the arms of thirteen of their people, he never killed any of them, nor did he take his revenge!

”What difference would killing them make?” Shen Tianjun looked at Shen Da and said, ”Wasn’t the lesson from ten years ago enough? You led people to attack the Sha Men, and today they have come knocking on our door again. By counting, back then you also killed people from the Sha Men. Today, the death of these people can be considered retribution for the murder you caused back then. Creating more killing today in a weaker position, someday, you will ultimately pay the price for what was done today. Ning Qianshu’s people have already appeared, the unfinished great war from twenty years ago is destined to come to an end. Heliante Hua from Meng District has been restless lately, and I’m seeing signs he’s gearing up to challenge Prince Nalan of the Capital. Once Prince Nalan loses, Helian Tiehua will inevitably head south to Jiangnan. This man is currently fifty, at the peak of his career, achieving so much, he surely harbors ambitions to dominate the Southern Six Provinces.”

”Ah?” Shen Da could not help but express his astonishment and said, ”Helian Tiehua dares to challenge Prince Nalan? Even when he wasn’t famous yet, Prince Nalan’s name had already spread far and wide. Prince Nalan gained his renown even earlier than you and Northern Fist King Li San. His name was already well-known. Although he has kept a low profile these years, Helian Tiehua shouldn’t be on the same level as him!”

”You are mistaken,” Shen Tianjun shook his head and said, ”Helian Tiehua’s fame has soared too much in the past twenty years, and everyone knows of the General of Meng District, whose presence swallows mountains and rivers unchallenged. Yet, no matter how his name comes up, it always follows behind the King of North-South Boxing. He takes this to heart. Therefore, he must find someone to prove his strength. Prince Nalan is the best choice, after all, Prince Nalan’s renown is by no means less than the King of North-South Boxing. Moreover, Prince Nalan holds a superior position in the Capital, watching over Meng District. Without defeating Prince Nalan, Helian Tiehua cannot move past the Capital. So, this battle must be fought. Moreover, Helian Tiehua is in his prime, whereas Prince Nalan is getting on in years, and if these two really come to blows, it’s difficult to predict who will emerge victorious. However, now that Ning Qianshu has appeared, Helian Tiehua will surely move south to Jiangnan. By then, I’m afraid Prince Nalan, even if willing, will be powerless to stop him. After all, Helian Tiehua’s power is too great!”

Thinking of Helian Tiehua’s one hundred thousand disciples, Shen Da nodded as well. General of Meng District, acclaimed as the foremost king of Huaxia, who dares defy him!

”However, Ning Qianshu is no easy target either. Twenty years ago, they launched a surprise attack, wiping out several major families of the Hong Alliance, causing the alliance a devastating blow. This time, as Helian Tiehua moves south, Ning Qianshu and others will definitely not sit by and watch!” Shen Tianjun placed his hand on Shen Da’s shoulder and said, ”Within two years, this Southern Six Provinces will surely be chaotic. Our Shen Family should not get involved in this turmoil. Therefore, although Wang Tian’an’s people ought to be killed, they should not be killed by us. If they were to die within the Shen Family Manor, we would then be implicated in this matter, and once Ning Qianshu and the others come killing, it would be difficult for us to maintain neutrality!”

Hearing this, Shen Da came to a sudden realization; he finally understood Shen Tianjun’s well-intentioned plans. While they were still focused on their immediate hatred, Shen Tianjun had already foreseen everything that would come. He appeared to be sparing lives, but in reality, he was averting disaster for the Shen Family.

Thinking about the great war twenty years ago, Shen Da’s heart also trembled. The Huangfu Family, the Chen Family, and some families that were completely wiped out—each of them was not much different from the Shen Family in strength, some even stronger, yet they all perished in that confused warfare. Even the Shen Family lost some elder-level members, which is why the current strength of the Shen Family had diminished to this extent. If the chaotic warfare of twenty years ago were to recur, it would be best for the Shen Family to not get involved!

”Father, starting today, I will restrain all our family members from provoking Wang Tian’an’s people,” Shen Da said.

”No need for that!” Shen Tianjun said, ”Spread the word, starting today, the people of the Shen Family should not leave Xi Hang. Also, Wang Tian’an’s group, they are not allowed to step foot in Xi Hang. I want to close off Xi Hang, even if Helian Tiehua and Ning Qianshu both invade the Southern Six Provinces, as long as we don’t provoke them, they won’t enter Xi Hang looking for trouble!”

To close off Xi Hang, such words, only a grandmaster like Shen Tianjun could have the boldness to say. If it were anyone else, who would have the capability to make these people dare not enter or leave Xi Hang?

Heart stirred by the words, Shen Da replied, ”Yes, Father, I will send people to spread this word right away.”

”Don’t rush. Give them some time to leave Xi Hang first,” Shen Tianjun said, ”First take a few people and make a trip to the outside grove, and bring Qingyi back.”

”Qingyi?” Shen Da was startled and asked urgently, ”What happened to Qingyi?”

Shen Tianjun did not speak further but turned and walked with the blind girl straight into an inner chamber. Ye Qing had already been carried inside, and many from the Shen Family were anxiously gathered around him.

Shen Da did not ask further; he knew that every word Shen Tianjun said was meaningful. He immediately gathered a few brothers and hurried straight to the grove.

When he arrived there, Shen Da could smell the strong scent of blood from afar, which unnerved him greatly. He rushed forward and from a distance saw Huangfu Ziyu knocking a man to the ground again.

The scene was a mess, with severed hands and limbs scattered everywhere. The people from Xi Hang had almost all been heavily injured or killed by Huangfu Ziyu. Wielding the Cold Moon Blade, Huangfu Ziyu’s strength had increased manifold, and being originally powerful, now augmented multiple times, the people from Xi Hang couldn’t hope to stop her. Huangfu Ziyu was also extremely ruthless when attacking, showing no mercy; either crippling or killing them directly, which is why the place reeked of blood.

When Shen Da and the others hurried over and saw the situation, they were also startled. Shen Da was generally mild-mannered. Although powerful, he had not killed many people. Confronted with a scene reminiscent of the Asura Slaughterhouse, he turned pale and felt nauseous. However, upon seeing Shen Qingyi and Lili sitting in the car, he disregarded his nausea, rushed over, and urgently opened the car door asking, ”Qingyi, Qingyi, how are you?”

Shen Qingyi, too, had been frightened by the fierce actions of Huangfu Ziyu outside, and upon seeing Shen Da, she burst into tears. Shen Qingyi’s three uncles stood by, and upon seeing her like this, they were deeply moved.

”What exactly happened?” Shen Da asked urgently. Turning his head to look at Huangfu Ziyu, he said, ”You... you’re Ziyu, aren’t you?”

When Huangfu Ziyu had left the Shen Family Manor, she was still very young. Over the years, she had transformed from the little girl of those days into an absolutely stunning woman, charming and seductive. Initially, Shen Da hadn’t recognized her at all.

Huangfu Ziyu glanced at Shen Da. She did not particularly like him, but she didn’t bear him any ill will either. However, she was quite hostile towards people like Shen San and Shen Si behind him. Back when she was at the Shen Family Manor, these people hadn’t treated her well.

Shen San, Shen Si, and the others felt somewhat awkward. After being scolded by Old Madame Shen earlier that night, they had recognized their mistakes. Now seeing Huangfu Ziyu, they all felt a bit guilty.

”These people wanted to kidnap Qingyi; Miss Huangfu saved us!” Shen Qingyi’s elder uncle explained.

”What?” Shen Da was shocked. Shen Qingyi was the darling of the Shen family, and had she been taken away, that would have been catastrophic.

”Ziyu, thank you!” Shen Da sincerely said to Huangfu Ziyu. Her saving Shen Qingyi was indeed a great favor to the Shen family.

Huangfu Ziyu gave them a glance, uttered a cold snort, and turned to leave.

”Ziyu, since you’re at the doorstep, why not come in for a visit?” Shen Da asked urgently.

”That is the Shen family, not my home!” Huangfu Ziyu turned her head to glance at Shen San and said sternly, ”Somebody said those words to me back then.”

Shen San’s face turned red with embarrassment. Clenching his teeth, he said, ”Ziyu, I was wrong back then. I was too young and foolish, always thinking that the loss of so many people from the family to save you justified my prejudice against you. I apologize for what I said back then; it was my fault. I don’t expect you to forgive me, but you were raised in the Shen family too. This is also your home!”

Listening to these words, Huangfu Ziyu’s eyes also grew moist. But in the end, she shook her head and said, ”The Shen Family Manor no longer has any reason for me to return.”

Seeing Huangfu Ziyu attempting to leave, Shen Da hurriedly said, ”But, father really wants to see you again!”

Huangfu Ziyu suddenly stopped, stood silent with her back to everyone for a long time, then suddenly turned around, her eyes sharply focused, and stared at Shen Da as she asked sternly, ”What did you just say?”

”Father has returned; he is at the Shen Family Manor!” Shen Da looked sincerely at Huangufu Ziyu and said, ”Our family may have myriad faults, but father has never treated you badly. You are his disciple; by all rights, you should at least go and see him.”

Huangfu Ziyu turned her head to look at the Shen Family Manor, then back at Shen Da, and suddenly turned and raced towards the Shen Family Manor.

Seeing Huangfu Ziyu’s reaction, a smile finally appeared on Shen Da’s face. It seemed that Shen Tianjun’s return this time would likely resolve the issues with Huangfu Ziyu, and this was something he had always wanted to do.
