Urban Martial Saint

Seeing Shen Qingyi’s attitude towards Ye Qing, Shen Tianjun was also somewhat surprised. He had never expected this granddaughter to care about Ye Qing so much. In his heart, he always knew that Shen Lingwei, who followed him by his side, was very concerned about Ye Qing. Unexpectedly, Shen Qingyi felt the same, these two girls, could it be they both fell for the same man?

Both were granddaughters of Shen Tianjun. Even though he hadn’t seen Shen Qingyi in twenty years, that didn’t mean he didn’t love her. With both granddaughters falling for the same man, even Shen Tianjun didn’t know how to deal with such complicated emotions.

Turning his head to look, the blind girl Shen Lingwei was standing at the doorway. Even though her face still wore a transcendent light smile, Shen Tianjun could see that her smile was rather forced. Her heart was filled with more worry and helplessness. She also wanted to come and see Ye Qing’s situation, but Shen Qingyi had arrived first, and she no longer had the chance.

With a soft sigh, Shen Tianjun stood up and waved his hand, saying, ”Ye Qing is now out of mortal danger, but he needs to rest well for a while. Shen Er, take him down first and find someone to take care of him.”

”Yes!” Shen Er nodded in agreement and brought several people over to take Ye Qing away.

The People of the Shen Family’s attitude towards Ye Qing had changed a lot now. Previously, many among them had determined that Ye Qing was a descendant of the Northern Li Family Baji Quan, so they all treated him like an enemy. In fact, Shen San almost killed Ye Qing last time. However, this time Ye Qing risked his life to save them, directly turning their resentment towards Ye Qing into gratitude and respect. After all, in this world, how many people are willing to risk their lives to save them under those circumstances? It could be said that, for the lives of so many people from the Shen Family, Ye Qing was basically their savior, and everyone’s gratitude was natural.

Watching Shen Er taking Ye Qing away, Shen Qingyi wanted to follow, but ultimately, she was too embarrassed to do so. Going over to help Ye Qing wipe his sweat in full view of everyone was the boldest thing she had ever done in her life. But at that time, she was too worried about Ye Qing and didn’t think too much. After she came back to her senses, her cheeks blushed with embarrassment, and for a while, she didn’t even dare to raise her head.

Seeing Shen Qingyi in such a state, Shen Tianjun’s heart became even more worried. He slowly shook his head, unsure of how to speak with Shen Qingyi about this matter, and could only set it aside for now.

”Master...” Just then, a trembling voice came from the side; it was Huangfu Ziyu.

With tears streaming down her face, Huangfu Ziyu knelt at Shen Tianjun’s feet and said with a quavering voice, ”Master, you... you’re finally back!”

Seeing Huangfu Ziyu, Shen Tianjun also felt a surge of emotion. He gently stroked Huangfu Ziyu’s hair and said, ”Zi Yu, these years have been hard on you. Our Shen Family owes you a lot!”

”My life was given by Master, even if I have to return it to the Shen Family, I don’t care!” Huangfu Ziyu looked up and said, ”But, I shoulder the hopes of the entire Huangfu Household, so I must struggle to survive. Master, I have never hated the Shen Family. I came back this time just to retrieve the belongings of the Huangfu Household and return to Xi Hang!”

”I know, I know.” Shen Tianjun nodded and sighed, ”Twenty years ago, I had to leave the Shen Family when it was in turmoil. Your Master Mother took on the responsibility in times of crisis, managing the Shen Family. Although she is very strong-willed, she’s still a woman, and managing the entire clan during those times inevitably led to some oversights. However, those twenty years have passed, and I have returned. Zi Yu, from today onwards, even though you’ve taken back your Huangfu surname, you are still a child of our Shen Family. If you want to revive the Huangfu Household, our Shen Family can provide you with all the support you need!”

With such esteem in the Southern Six Provinces, it was incredibly easy for Huangfu Ziyu to rebuild the Huangfu Household with such words from the Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun.

Huangfu Ziyu couldn’t help but burst into tears again. Although the people of the Shen Family were not very kind to her back then, Shen Tianjun always treated her like his own granddaughter. This was also because Shen Tianjun had a very good relationship with Huangfu Ziyu’s grandfather. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have risked the entire Shen Family to save Huangfu Ziyu.

It was because he saved Huangfu Ziyu that those enemies struck at the Shen Family. Many Elder-level figures in the Shen Family died in that chaos, and the Shen Family suffered a huge change, forcing the Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun to flee from the Shen Family to calm everything down. Truly, Shen Tianjun sacrificed a lot for Huangfu Ziyu, and that’s the main reason why Huangfu Ziyu holds Shen Tianjun in such high esteem!

Of course, this was also the main reason why many in the Shen Family disliked Huangfu Ziyu. In the eyes of many, the Shen Family’s downfall at that time was entirely because of Huangfu Ziyu, so many people especially hated her. It wasn’t until Old Madame Shen gathered the family together and recounted the events that many people’s grievances were resolved.

Just as everyone was sighing with emotion, suddenly, someone ran in from the outside, exclaiming, ”Master, someone has broken into the Shen Household, and they are fighting with our guards outside!”

”Who is it?” Shen Da, who had already come in, immediately frowned, and said to Shen Tianjun, ”Father, please sit here for a while, I’ll go out and have a look.”

”I’ll go.” Shen Tianjun walked to the door, helped the blind girl Shen Lingwei to her feet, and slowly walked outside.

It was only at that moment that everyone truly took notice of Shen Lingwei, who had been silent by their side. To tell the truth, from the moment they entered, everyone’s attention was focused on Shen Tianjun. No one had paid any attention to Shen Lingwei. At this moment, everyone finally turned their attention to her, and whispers started to spread among them.

”Is she... is she... that girl?” Shen Shi asked in a low voice, full of surprise.

”It shouldn’t be,” Shen Wu slowly nodded and whispered, ”Have you forgotten? Twenty years ago, when that girl was brought to the Shen Family, she was almost breathing her last. Although Uncle managed to save her life with the Ziyu Chenxiang Pill, her body was too severely injured, and she was afflicted with dozens of strange poisons. Everyone thought she was beyond saving, even Uncle dared not touch her skin directly with his hands; those poisons were extremely sinister. It’s impossible for her to be alive now!”

”Then who is this girl?” another person whispered.

”Stop talking,” Shen Da ordered the crowd to be quiet. He too was curious about the girl’s identity. But since Shen Tianjun had brought her back, he would not ask too many questions.

Just then, Shen Tianjun stopped. Supporting the blind girl by his side, he turned to look at everyone and said, ”I forgot to introduce her to you. This girl is the one I took away twenty years ago, your elder brother’s illegitimate daughter, Shen Lingwei!”

As soon as these words came out, the crowd was stunned, gazing in shock at the blind girl Shen Lingwei.

Shen Lingwei remained calm, bowed slightly, and said, ”Hello everyone, my uncles and aunts.”

Everyone was still in shock, but it was Shen Da who first came back to his senses, his eyes moist as he hurriedly said, ”Good, good, Lingwei, Lingwei, ah, I never expected, Father actually did it; you... you’re still alive, that’s really wonderful...”

”Big Brother in heaven can finally rest in peace!” Shen San couldn’t help but express his feelings. His temper might be explosive, but he was a decent person at heart. At least towards the People of the Shen Family, he was truly kind.

Huangfu Ziyu was also looking at Shen Lingwei in amazement. Twenty years ago, she was only seven years old, but she remembered everything from that time. The ’big brother’ these Shen Family members spoke of was actually Shen Tianjun’s eldest son, Shen Ao Chen, who had died during the great tragedy of the Shen Family twenty years ago.

Huangfu Ziyu remembered when Shen Qingyi was just born, the Shen Family was completely harmonious. However, it was at that time that someone brought an infant girl, badly wounded and on the brink of death, with a letter upon her body, stating that the infant was the illegitimate daughter of Shen Ao Chen.

Turns out, during a mission outside, Shen Ao Chen had met a lover and had a brief romance. Later, he returned for an arranged marriage by his parents’ command. He tried several times to find that woman, but could never succeed. He could never have imagined, just as everything at home was nearly settled, that such an event would occur. The appearance of the infant girl brought joy and concern to Shen Ao Chen, but also brought endless calamity to the Shen Family.

Shen Ao Chen was the chosen candidate for the head of the Shen Family for his generation; he was essentially the face of the Shen Family’s younger members. However, the appearance of his illegitimate daughter raised questions among many in the Shen Family about whether he could become the Head of the Shen Family. Many openly criticized and rebuked him for moral degradation, unsuitable to lead the Shen Family.

Shen Ao Chen, however, did not care about those criticisms. What worried him the most was Shen Lingwei’s injuries. He took her to Shen Tianjun, asking him to save her. Shen Tianjun was also in a difficult position, being the Family Head, and Shen Ao Chen his son. He had to deal with this matter. While he was indecisive, Shen Ao Chen took the most extreme action; he committed suicide with a knife, beseeching Shen Tianjun with his dying breath to exchange his life for Shen Lingwei’s.

That incident could be described as the greatest family upheaval in the Shen Family. His son’s death traumatized Shen Tianjun, who immediately ignored the other Elders of the Shen Family and used the Ziyu Chenxiang Pill to temporarily sustain Shen Lingwei’s life. However, the poisons in Shen Lingwei’s body were not so easily countered. Hence, the subsequent great battle between him and the Northern Fist King Li Changqing was to fight for the Acupoint Seeking Technique left by Divine Doctor An Shiping.

Although Shen Lingwei had her life hanging by a thread at the time, the depth of her poisoning left Shen Tianjun without a solution. Apart from seeking help from Sai Hua Tuo Baili Xi and King Yan Ning Qianshu, only the Acupoint Seeking Technique could save Shen Lingwei. It can be said, Shen Lingwei was the very catalyst of the battle between the Kings of North-South Boxing!
