Urban Martial Saint

Old Madame Shen walked out of Shen Qingyi’s room, casually closing the door behind her as she left to arrange for Shen Qingyi’s departure from the Shen Family Manor.

It was not until this moment that Shen Qingyi finally let out a long sigh of relief. Just a moment ago, Ye Qing had been lying beside her, while almost everyone from the Shen Family had been in her room, giving her an unbearable feeling of tension. What truly made her breathless was that she had never before let a man lie on her bed, let alone hold her in such an intimate pose, which filled her with shyness.

As the footsteps of Old Madame Shen receded, Shen Qingyi quickly flipped off the quilt, intending to let Ye out. But as she lifted the quilt, she saw the major part of her own body exposed, which almost made her scream out loud, and she hurriedly covered herself again with the quilt.

Ye Qing had just raised his head, ready to come out. But when Shen Qingyi suddenly covered herself again with the quilt, it came down right on his head. It pressed down before Ye could react, squashing his head directly. And most critically, his face was right near Shen Qingyi’s chest. That action effectively pressed Ye Qing’s face against her bosom.

Ye Qing felt two soft things surrounding his head, and for a moment his mind went blank, as he almost forgot what he was doing. Meanwhile, Shen Qingyi was startled too, but she dared not scream. She just quickly uncovered the quilt again, hoping that Ye would quickly lift his head.

However, at that moment, Ye’s mind was confused, and he had forgotten what to do, so how could he react quickly?

Seeing Ye Qing pressing his face against her chest, Shen Qingyi’s face turned even redder, and the two remained in this frozen state. After a while, Shen Qingyi couldn’t help but whisper, ”Ye, you... maybe you should get up first...”

”Ah...” Finally coming to his senses, Ye sensed that he was lying on the most crucial part of the girl’s body. He also felt incredibly embarrassed and quickly jumped off the bed. Turning his head to apologize to Shen Qingyi, he saw her half-exposed body and was once again stunned.

Shen Qingyi, still immersed in the embarrassment of just having Ye Qing’s face on her chest, had totally forgotten that she was still half undressed; naturally, she had also forgotten to cover herself with the quilt. After a long pause, Ye Qing couldn’t help but whisper, ”Miss Shen, maybe... you should cover yourself with the quilt first...”

Only then did Shen Qingyi come back to her senses. Seeing her half-exposed body, she opened her mouth wide, almost screaming in shock, and immediately covered herself tightly with the quilt. Her face instantly flushed red, and this time she didn’t have the courage to make eye contact with Ye, causing the atmosphere in the room to plummet to an awkward low.

Ye Qing also felt very embarrassed and, thinking back to the intimate moments in the quilt, he had no idea what to say.

Fortunately, at this moment, Lili’s voice suddenly came from the door, ”Miss, are you ready? Old Madam said to take you to the backyard to get on the carriage, you...”

Lili was speaking as she directly pushed the door open. She had thought that Ye had already left, so she didn’t have much reservation. But upon opening the door and seeing Ye Qing standing in the room, she was suddenly taken aback, her mouth opened wide as if she was about to scream. However, she had a lot of poise. After a brief shock, she immediately closed the door and hurried in, exclaiming, ”You... you... you came back?”

It seemed she thought that Ye had left and then returned, which is why he was now in Shen Qingyi’s room.

”I... I never left...” Ye Qing replied.

”Never left?” Lili’s eyes widened as she asked, ”Then... where were you hiding when I came in just now? Where did you just hide?”

”I...” Ye Qing was about to answer, but thinking about where he had just been hiding, he suddenly shut his mouth. If he revealed it, wouldn’t Shen Qingyi’s reputation be ruined?

Seeing that Ye didn’t respond, Lili grew even more curious, asking, ”Where exactly were you hiding just now? In the wardrobe?”

”Ah, yes... yes...” Ye Qing replied awkwardly.

”Ye, with your size, to hide in that wardrobe, it must have been very uncomfortable!” Lili chuckled and said, ”Alright, enough of this. Ye, Old Madam has already left, and there aren’t many people in the courtyard now. You better leave while you have the chance. Otherwise, if someone from the family catches you, that would be troublesome.”

After speaking, Lili turned to Shen Qingyi and said, ”Miss, you should also get ready quickly. Old Madam asked me to take you away as soon as possible, to leave with your uncle and the others. Do you have anything you need to bring?”

”No... nothing else...” Shen Qingyi answered uneasily, now too timid to even make eye contact with Ye.

”Then let’s hurry up and go!” Lili reached into her pocket and pulled out a small porcelain bottle, saying, ”This is the Ziyu Chenxiang Pill that Old Madam gave you just now. It should be enough for you to use in Beilin City.”

”This...” Shen Qingyi felt awkward, as she hadn’t yet dressed. How could she leave?

Noticing Shen Qingyi’s embarrassment, Ye quickly said, ”I’ll go out first. Miss Shen, you get ready.”

”Yeah, Ye, you should get out of here while there’s confusion!” Lili said urgently. ”The Sha Men are here, and the clan members are all in the front hall. It looks like a fight is inevitable tonight. At this time, no one will care where you go, maybe you should leave through the back courtyard.”

”I can’t leave yet!” Ye Qing shook his head and said, ”By the way, where is the dungeon of the Shen Family?”

”What do you want to do in the dungeon?” Lili asked, puzzled.

”The friend who came with me yesterday is still locked up in the dungeon. I need to rescue him first!” Ye Qing said.

”Oh, no need for that.” Lili waved her hand dismissively and said, ”When Old Madam came back, she had already ordered his release and even had someone escort him to the city area. By now, he’s probably already in the city area.”

”What?” Ye Qing was taken aback as he hadn’t expected Old Madame Shen to act so decisively. It seemed that as soon as she had returned, she had immediately ordered Du Tianyi’s release, hence the swiftness.

”Alright, Ye, don’t stay here any longer. If the Shen Family Manor really breaks out into a fight tonight, it’s going to be chaotic!” Lili said. ”You should hurry and leave now, while the chaos lasts. If it does break out, escaping won’t be so easy later!”

Ye Qing fell silent for a while, then slowly shook his head and said, ”I still can’t go!”

”What now?” Lili asked helplessly. ”Your friend has already left, what else can’t you let go of?”

”Ye, you should leave first,” Shen Qingyi finally mustered the courage to look at Ye Qing and said, ”After the family has dealt with this matter, I will talk to Grandmother about you. By then, she surely won’t pursue the matter further, and you can return to the Shen Family Manor as a visitor of our Shen Family!”

By saying this, Shen Qingyi was implicitly suggesting to Ye Qing that she actually wanted him to come to the Shen Family Manor.

Ye Qing’s heart warmed, and he glanced at Shen Qingyi and said, ”Miss Shen, tonight I must stay here because I still have some issues to resolve. If possible, I hope to help your Shen Family resolve the grudge with the Sha Men. Miss Shen, you should leave with Lili now. Don’t worry, I won’t be in trouble!”

Shen Qingyi’s face lit up with joy and she said urgently, ”You... you really can resolve the grudge between Sha Men and our Shen Family?”

”I’m rather familiar with Cui Yu and Cui Yulong of the Sha Men, if I step in, maybe I could say a few words!” Ye Qing replied offhandedly, but in fact, he was well aware that his intervention would likely not change the minds of the Sha Men. However, he also had to stay because he wanted to help the people of the Shen Family, to save the Shen Family!

The words of Old Madame Shen and Shen Da had completely changed Ye Qing’s opinion of the Shen Family. Moreover, the battle between the Sha Men and the Shen Family was a conspiracy deliberately stirred up by the Western Province People. Ye Qing had to stay to find an opportunity to undermine the Western Province People’s scheme!

”This... this is wonderful...” Shen Qingyi was thrilled and quickly said, ”Ye, then... please do me this favor, try to resolve this grudge. Otherwise, once a fight breaks out, I fear many will get injured, and that would be awful!”

Shen Qingyi was too kind-hearted, unable to bear the thought of anyone getting hurt, which is why she was so happy. In her heart, she hadn’t considered that this incident might involve the life or death of the Shen Family. In her mind, she simply didn’t want anyone to get injured, it was that simple.

”Rest assured, I will do my best!” Ye Qing nodded towards Shen Qingyi and then looked at Lili. ”Miss Shen is in your hands now, you must get her away from Shen Family Manor as soon as possible!”

After Ye Qing had spoken, he turned and left. Lili was completely confused, she looked at Shen Qingyi and then at the departing Ye Qing, mumbling, ”What was that about, ’in your hands now,’ as if you were the one taking care of our Miss Shen all this time?”

Ye Qing had already walked far away, paying no attention to Lili’s words. Shen Qingyi watched Ye Qing’s retreating figure, completely entranced, and naturally didn’t catch Lili’s murmur either.

”Alright, Miss, he’s gone so far away and you’re still watching him.” Lili waved her hand in front of Shen Qingyi and said, ”Come on, let’s hurry up and go.”

As Lili spoke, she reached out and pulled up Shen Qingyi’s blanket, only to see Shen Qingyi’s half-dressed body in her nightclothes.

”Ah!” Both girls screamed simultaneously. Shen Qingyi quickly pulled the blanket back, her face flushed as she said, ”Lili, what are you doing!”

”Wow, Miss, how come... why are you still in your nightclothes?” Lili’s eyes widened as she looked in the direction Ye Qing had left, then back at Shen Qingyi, ”You... you weren’t... weren’t talking to him in your nightclothes just now, were you?”

Shen Qingyi’s face was completely red; not only had she been talking to Ye Qing in her nightclothes, but she had also been half-naked, in bed with him. Of course, these were things she would definitely not speak of. However, it was hard for her to hide the blush of shyness on her face.
