Urban Martial Saint

Du Tianyi drove around in circles within this abandoned factory area, taking many small roads before finally pulling into a warehouse.

After getting out of the car, Du Tianyi turned around to lock the warehouse door, then helped Ye Qing get out of the car. However, he didn’t linger there, instead, he took Ye Qing around two other factory areas before finally entering a more secluded warehouse.

Just as they entered the warehouse, a faint sound of footsteps came from ahead, sounding as if someone was walking toward them.

Ye Qing paused slightly, and Du Tianyi gestured to him with his hand, signaling him not to worry, then put his hand to his mouth and issued a soft whistle.

Upon hearing the whistle, the footsteps momentarily slowed, then a whistle was returned. Hearing this, Du Tianyi finally relaxed and said, ”Second Senior Brother, it’s me!”

”Second Senior Brother?” Ye Qing exclaimed in surprise, ”Is Senior Brother Xiang here too?”

Du Tianyi’s second senior brother, who was none other than Tie Yongwen’s second disciple Xiang Yunpeng, had been always with Gao Shusen. After the murder of Tie Yongwen, Xiang Yunpeng had rarely been seen, yet to his unexpected, he appeared here.

After bypassing some piled-up machines at the front, Ye Qing finally saw Xiang Yunpeng standing behind that pile of machines. Seeing Ye Qing, Xiang Yunpeng was also taken aback, seemingly puzzled by Ye Qing’s presence.

”Senior Brother Xiang!” Ye Qing greeted Xiang Yunpeng with a bow.

”You’re here.” Xiang Yunpeng, always a man of few words, upon seeing the bloodied state of Ye Qing, immediately took a medical kit from behind him and came over to dress Ye Qing’s wounds.

”Du, Senior Brother Xiang, how come you two are here?” Ye Qing asked in surprise, ”Du, weren’t you supposed to have gone to Western Province? When did you come back?”

Du Tianyi shook his head and said, ”I never went to Western Province!”

”You didn’t go to Western Province?” Ye Qing was taken aback again and asked, ”Then... where have you been these past few days?”

”I have been in Eastern Province all along, only I had taken a trip to Tianhui City,” Du Tianyi said. ”I was originally planning to go to Western Province to find Yang Shitao, but just as I was about to drive out of Shenchuan City, I suddenly discovered that Yang Shitao was actually hiding in Eastern Province!”

”What?” Ye Qing couldn’t help but be taken aback. Everyone thought that Yang Shitao had gone to Western Province, so how could he be hiding in Eastern Province?

Du Tianyi continued, ”It actually started right when I was about to leave. I found that someone was following me. Sensing something was wrong, I contacted the second senior brother and asked him to keep an eye on those people while I drove around the outskirts of Shenchuan City to confuse them. The people following me, seeing that I didn’t head to Western Province, seemed puzzled and sent someone away. The second senior brother followed that person all the way to Tianhui City, and it turned out that Yang Shitao was there!”

”He was actually hiding in Tianhui City?” Ye Qing frowned deeply and said, ”What was he doing there? Was Old Master Tie’s death related to him as well? And who did he find to help him dare to do all these things?”

”It’s a long story,” Du Tianyi said. ”After getting the message from the second senior brother, I took care of those tracking me, then went to Tianhui City and captured Yang Shitao. From Yang Shitao, I learned all about it. It turns out that after leaving Shenchuan City, Yang Shitao did go to Western Province. Moreover, in Western Province, he successfully made contact with Xu Cunxiao and his people to jointly target you. However, he soon realized that things were deviating from his plan. His trip to Western Province was actually orchestrated by Xu Cunxiao!”

Ye Qing responded, ”This Xu Cunxiao you mentioned, isn’t he the father of the person Chen Si killed last time?”

”Exactly, that’s the man!” Du Tianyi nodded and said, ”Moreover, this man was one of the household slaves who betrayed the Chen Family years ago, almost leading to their extermination. Furthermore, just now, the people chasing you were those two, Xu Cunxiao and Xu Cunzhi!”

Ye Qing’s complexion changed when he heard this, many things were almost clear. All these events, including the killing of Tie Yongwen, were definitely orchestrated by Xu Cunxiao. Moreover, the conflict between Sha Men and the Shen Family was also incited by Xu Cunxiao. Xu Cunxiao was the real mastermind behind the scenes, driving all these happening. The one who truly wanted to benefit from the mutual destruction of Sha Men and the Shen Family was Xu Cunxiao, this once traitorous household slave who betrayed the Chen Family!

”What exactly is their plan?” Ye Qing asked in a deep voice, feeling even more anxious after knowing all this. The fact that Xu Cunxiao and his people could annihilate the Chen Family back in the day, and capture Chen San and Chen Si to threaten the Meng District General Helian Tiehua, shows that they are both bold and scheming. And this time, their plot is definitely not simple!

Du Tian Yi said, ”Actually, their plan started as far back as twenty years ago. Even that Yang Shitao was part of their plan!”

”What do you mean?” Ye Qing was even more astonished and asked hastily.

Du Tian Yi replied, ”Do you know that there’s a man who always devises strategies for Yang Shitao, always by his side?”

Ye Qing nodded; he had even met this man. But what did he have to do with this matter?

”This man is the one Xu Cunxiao planted beside Yang Shitao!” Du Tian Yi stated.

”Is that so?” Ye Qing widened his eyes and said, ”But why would he do that? Aside from being wealthy, Yang Shitao has no other capabilities and doesn’t get involved in Jianghu affairs. What could be the meaning of such a move?”

”It’s all for money,” Du Tian Yi replied. ”Actually, they started such a plan twenty years ago. They searched everywhere for wealthy and promising individuals, then placed people by their side. First, they would find ways to groom them into becoming local tycoons. Then, slowly take control of these individuals and convert their wealth to their own, thereby gaining a continuous flow of wealth. They control at least twenty people like Yang Shitao, each possessing wealth of at least a few hundred million. When you add it all up, can you imagine the amount of wealth? It’s an unimaginable sum!”

Ye Qing’s complexion changed again. The scheming of these people from Western Province was indeed terrifying, specifically raising so many tycoons to make money for them. Furthermore, they also nurtured people like the Beggar King, doing various kinds of business, already making a lot of money on its own. Considering this, the financial power of Xu Cunxiao and his group could truly be described as wealthy enough to rival countries!

Moreover, they had been planning these things since twenty years ago, which shows that their aim was not merely making money. Now possessing such financial power, coupled with instigating a large-scale battle between Sha Men and the Shen Family, it indicated that they must have some other bigger conspiracies. This was truly the concerning part!

”Yang Shitao’s trip to Western Province was the result of strategies devised by that person by his side. After arriving in Western Province, Yang Shitao was directly controlled by Xu Cunxiao and his people, who seized all his wealth. However, they didn’t kill Yang Shitao but used his name to target you, trying to muddle the water!” Du Tian Yi said, ”The Xu Dingjiang they sent earlier was acting under Yang Shitao’s name. Those in Shenchuan City who cooperated with him never knew Xu Dingjiang’s true identity, thinking he was truly an expert sent by Yang Shitao. They didn’t realize they were being used as tools!”

Ye Qingqi wondered, ”If that’s the case, why did they send Yang Shitao to Tianhui City?”

Du Tian Yi explained, ”To make people believe even more that it was Yang Shitao behind all this, they sent Yang Shitao to Tianhui City. In fact, people like Li Wenyuan and Shangguan Tian had met him, otherwise, why would they simply cooperate with Xu Dingjiang upon hearing a few words from him? However, when they heard I was heading to Western Province to find Yang Shitao, they worried this would be exposed and sent people to follow me, but I discovered this and found Yang Shitao.”

”So, after doing so much, what truly is their ultimate goal?” Ye Qing asked.

”I don’t know that,” Du Tian Yi said. ”Yang Shitao only heard bits of it by chance, and it seems they are preparing to confront Helian Tiehua. Only Xu Cunxiao and his group would know the specifics. I too have been trailing these people in recent days to investigate this matter. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have arrived just in time to help you tonight!”

So, Du Tianyi had been trailing Xu Cunxiao and others all along, which was why he could arrive in time to save Ye Qing tonight. Had he not uncovered the matter concerning Yang Shitao, Ye Qing might have been genuinely in danger this time. After all, Xu Cunxiao and Xu Cunzhi had come intending to take Ye Qing’s life!

Ye Qing furrowed his brow tightly; after hearing Du Tianyi’s explanation, he became increasingly convinced that Xu Cunxiao and his group were definitely plotting a very big conspiracy. However, what exactly the conspiracy was could not yet be guessed. Nonetheless, one thing was very clear—if Sha Men and the Shen Family ended up in mutual destruction, it would mean significant success for Xu Cunxiao and his group’s plans. They had expended a lot of effort to incite this great war, indicating that the battle between Sha Men and the Shen Family was crucial in their scheme!

After a moment of silence, Ye Qing suddenly stood up, his voice deep, ”No, we must inform the people of Sha Men about this, tell them not to go to the Xihang Shen Family, not to be exploited by others!”

”Even if you tell them, they might not listen!” Du Tianyi waved his hand and said, ”The grudge between Sha Men and the Xihang Shen Family has persisted for ten years. A decade hasn’t been enough to resolve this grudge, showing how deep their hatred runs. Their goal is simple—to seek revenge on the Shen Family. As for other matters, they really don’t care. Even if they truly know they are being exploited, they might not pay it any heed!”
