Urban Martial Saint

Shen Baichuan grasped Shen Qianyue’s clothes, fervently saying, ”I am very familiar with that man’s strength. After he entered, the daredevils protecting Ms. Qingyi didn’t last three moves before they were chopped into fragments by his blade. I approached, but before I could strike, I was knocked unconscious by him.”

Shen Baichuan clenched his teeth, angrily saying, ”Brother, you know the strength of our family’s daredevils without me saying. Even you, brother, would need at least ten minutes to take down one daredevil. But that man, he only used three moves, three moves! His strength is definitely comparable to the elders in our family. With such strength, even if you personally went, rescuing Ms. Qingyi wouldn’t be easy, would it? Ye Qing actually managed to rescue Ms. Qingyi without a scratch. Don’t you think there’s something fishy about this matter?”

Shen Qianyue frowned slightly; he too felt there was a problem. He hadn’t been able to get the details from Shen Qingyi, but it was a fact that Shen Qingyi had returned unscathed. Although Ye Qing had taken Shen Qingyi to the seaside, Shen Qingyi didn’t have any injuries, which was most crucial for the Shen family.

Now that Shen Baichuan had brought up this suspicion again, it made Shen Qianyue puzzled once more.

”Brother, there’s definitely something off about this Ye Qing!” Seeing that Shen Qianyue remained silent, Shen Baichuan spoke again, ”Think about it, with that man’s abilities, Ye dared to rescue her without fearing for his own life? And then, he rescued her without a scratch. What does this imply? I am certain, this kidnapping was a collusion between Ye and that man. That man took Ms. Qingyi away and then let Ye save her. While rescuing her, Ye even took Ms. Qingyi to the sea and she was wearing his clothes. This bastard is harboring impure motives towards Ms. Qingyi!”

These words caused a flash of sharpness in Shen Qianyue’s eyes. He furrowed his brow but still didn’t speak. In the silence, he suddenly stood up, walked to the door, and flung it open abruptly.

At the doorway, Lin Yaqing was standing, eavesdropping on the conversation inside. The sudden opening of the door caught her by surprise and frightened her.

Seeing Lin Yaqing, Shen Baichuan was startled and exclaimed, ”Ms. Lin, what are you doing?”

Although Lin Yaqing was his senior, the Shen family had a strained relationship with the Lin family, and Shen Baichuan certainly didn’t hold them in high regard. His attitude toward Lin Yaqing was very arrogant, given his affiliation with the Shen family.

Upon seeing the two, Lin Yaqing, feeling somewhat embarrassed, coughed, adjusted her hair, and scoffed coldly, ”Hmph, Ye Qing rescued your family’s young lady, and instead of being grateful, you speak ill of him behind his back. The Shen family, hmph, I see that’s all there is to it!”

”What did you say!” Shen Baichuan glared, furiously saying, ”You bitch, say that again, I dare you, I...”

”Baichuan!” Shen Qianyue called out sharply, then calmly looked at Lin Yaqing, continuing, ”Baichuan has some disagreements with Mr. Ye, and being young, it’s normal to be somewhat temperamental. Aunt Lin, unless I’m mistaken, your room isn’t on this side, right?”

Shen Qianyue’s words hinted to Lin Yaqing that her presence there was clearly meant for eavesdropping.

”I came specifically for you two!” Lin Yaqing responded with a cold laugh, glancing at Shen Baichuan, ”Is it convenient to come in and talk?”

Shen Baichuan looked at Shen Qianyue, who paused briefly before saying, ”Aunt Lin, we need to visit Senior Tie at the Xingyi Martial Arts School shortly, so we might not have much time.”

”It’s just a few words. I’ll leave after speaking,” Lin Yaqing said, walking into the room without waiting for Shen Qianyue’s consent.

Since Shen Qianyue didn’t stop her, Shen Baichuan remained silent, only glaring coldly at Lin Yaqing with a hostile face.

Lin Yaqing glanced at Shen Baichuan, scoffed, and said, ”Seems you’ve been hurt quite badly, eh? Is Mr. Tie out for your life? Ha, I heard he even issued threats to the Shen family openly in front of many people. The Xihang Shen Family, I guess that’s all they amount to, just daring to point fingers at our Lin family!”

”You bitch, are you looking for death!” Shen Baichuan roared, not regarding Lin Yaqing as an elder at all.

”Young man, watch your words, or you might be struck by lightning,” Lin Yaqing retorted with a cold laugh.

Shen Baichuan responded angrily, ”Mind your own business, if you’ve got something to say, say it and then get lost. Don’t loiter in front of me, giving me a headache!”

”This is the Lin family’s place, not the Shen’s. It’s not your place to speak here!” Lin Yaqing coldly retorted.

”You…” Shen Baichuan was furious but couldn’t refute, only glaring resentfully at Lin Yaqing.

Lin Yaqing ignored him, instead turning to look at Shen Qianyue, slowly saying, ”Mr. Shen, as the saying goes, the law should not be passed on to the unworthy. What I have to say is extremely crucial for the Shen family. Are you planning to keep the door open like this?”

Shen Qianyue slightly furrowed his brows, fell silent for a moment, then turned his head and said in a deep voice, ”Our Shen family acts openly and aboveboard; there is nothing we need to hide. Aunt Lin, if there’s anything you want to say, please do, as we are about to leave!”

”What an ’open and aboveboard’ statement. You Shen family might think so, but not everyone necessarily agrees!” Lin Yaqing scoffed and said, ”I’m very clear about those petty affairs of your Shen family. Just like this incident, why so many people are targeting the Shen family, you all should be clearer than me.”

Shen Qianyue proudly said, ”Right and wrong are clear to all. Since our Shen family dares to eliminate evil, we are not afraid of those evildoers seeking revenge!”

”Well said, truly worthy of being the foremost youth of the Shen family!” Lin Yaqing laughed heartily, then followed with a cold laugh, ”It’s just too bad, you think so, but the Northern Li Family might not see it the same way!”

Upon hearing this, Shen Qianyue’s expression changed drastically; he certainly knew about the matters concerning the Northern Li Family, which involved the battle between the Kings of Southern and Northern Fist twenty years ago.

Northern Fist King Li Changqing was poisoned, resulting in his loss to Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun. The act of poisoning was almost universally attributed to the Shen Family, especially by the people of the Northern Li Family!

Shen Qianyue stared at Lin Yaqing and asked in a deep voice, ”What exactly are you trying to say?”

”Aren’t you curious how Ye Qing could save someone?” Lin Yaqing scoffed and said, ”Do you want to know why?”

”Why?” Shen Baichuan urged impatiently.

Shen Qianyue looked at Lin Yaqing but remained silent, as he too was eager to know the reason.

”Because...” Lin Yaqing drew out her words, waiting until Shen Baichuan was on edge before she smiled and said, ”Because he is a descendant of Li Style Bajiquan!”

”What?” Shen Qianyue and Shen Baichuan both exclaimed in shock, the five words ’Li Style Bajiquan’ having a tremendous impact on them.

”Shen Qianyue, you should recognize that man’s identity and also be clear about the involvement between him and the Northern Li Family. Mr. Ye’s abilities are not strong, but, he still has to give face to a descendant of the Li Family!” Lin Yaqing paused, then continued softly, ”Moreover, according to reports, that Mr. Ye is most likely the last closed-door disciple whom Northern Fist King Li Changqing took specifically to deal with the Shen Family!”

”There’s such a thing as this!” Shen Baichuan immediately became enraged, struggled to sit up, and furiously said, ”The people of the Northern Li Family dare to step into the Southern Six Provinces, are they tired of living? Damn it, big brother, let’s go together and kill the bastard, driving all people of the Northern Li Family out of the Southern Six Provinces!”

Lin Yaqing’s continuous cold laughter was evident, pleased with Shen Baichuan’s reaction as she wanted to use the Shen family to deal with Ye Qing.

Shen Qianyue’s brow was tightly furrowed, he reached out to press Shen Baichuan back onto the bed and said in a deep voice, ”Calm down, your injuries are not light, it’s best not to move recklessly!”

Having said that, Shen Qianyue turned and looked coldly at Lin Yaqing, addressing her sternly, ”How do you know about these matters?”

”How I know is not important, the key is that everything I’ve said is the truth!” Lin Yaqing continued to scoff, ”Shen Qianyue, being known as a gentleman certainly sounds nice, but don’t forget the longstanding grudge between your Shen family and the Northern Li Family. That Mr. Ye daring to enter Shenchuan City is specifically targeting your Shen family. Moreover, many of his compatriots have also come; I think, your Shen family needs to prepare for a tough fight!”

”Nonsense, that mixed-breed Mr. Ye is comparing himself to our Shen family!” Shen Baichuan shouted angrily, ”There’s no need for our Shen family to act; just my big brother alone can take down Mr. Ye and all his compatriots!”

”Oh, is that so?” Lin Yaqing glanced at Shen Baichuan and said, ”Do you think your big brother can beat Tie Yongwen?”

”Tie Yongwen? What about him?” Shen Baichuan’s voice trembled; he had been beaten up by Tie Yongwen to this state and now felt apprehensive even hearing Tie Yongwen’s name.

”Tie Yongwen has long known that that Mr. Ye is a descendant of Li Changqing, and he has been supporting Ye Qing from behind. Like yesterday, he severely injured you and even said those words in front of so many people, challenging your Shen family. Don’t you still understand what this means?” Lin Yaqing scoffed, ”Young man, wake up. Ye Qing dares to be so arrogant and rampant in Shenchuan City because he relies on that old man, Tie Yongwen!”

Upon hearing this, Shen Baichuan became even more furious, gritted his teeth, and said, ”Damn it, so there’s such a thing. No wonder that undying old Tie Yongwen was protecting Ye Qing like that, even severely injuring me and daring to threaten our Shen family. Tie Yongwen, do you really think being old makes you brave enough to show off in front of the Xihang Shen Family? Once our Shen family’s elders step in, I’d like to see if you can still be so arrogant. Big brother, why not make a call back home and have the family send some experts over?”

”Don’t speak!” Shen Qianyue glared at him, then continued looking coldly at Lin Yaqing, speaking firmly, ”Aunt Lin, I don’t know what you mean by telling us all this. But Senior Tie and our Shen family have been lifelong friends, and he is a senior we of the Shen family respect. Whatever Senior Tie is doing, I believe he definitely has his reasons.”
