Lin Mengjie spoke and glanced at Yunyi and the client manager next to her, saying, ”How about it, can we talk now?”

The client manager, frightened to a ghostly pallor, hurriedly nodded his head when he heard Lin Mengjie’s words. Although Yunyi had seen her fair share of situations, she was also full of panic at this moment, slowly nodding in agreement.

Just then, a sudden scream from Erqiang came through the window, as Erqiang was thrown down from the building. Although they were on the third floor, the crowd could still hear the heart-wrenching screams of Erqiang from down below.

Hearing her lover’s screams, Ms. Bo shook with fury, roaring, ”Lin, don’t think you can bully me just because you have more people. I’m just living a rotten life, if you have the guts, kill me and see if my sisters will follow you. Also, I’ve been in this line of business for a long time, and most of the client managers in Shenchuan City are very familiar with me. You might get me today, but I guarantee you won’t be able to recruit a single person for your club tomorrow. Moreover, I assure you, most of the client managers at your other clubs will leave too, believe it or not!”

Lin Mengjie watched Ms. Bo quietly, saying, ”Don’t believe it!”

Ms. Bo was stunned for a moment; she did not expect such a simple response from Lin Mengjie.

”You… you…” Ms. Bo, grinding her teeth in anger, said, ”Then you just try it!”

”No need to try!” Lin Mengjie threw the stack of photos in front of Ms. Bo, saying, ”Ms. Bo, I won’t say much about Leopard Head’s identity. As for those little affairs between you and him, don’t think I don’t know about them. We are not fools; everyone understands that with just a few of you, it’s impossible to swallow this club. Even if the nightclub was given to you, without Ye’s protection, other gangs and forces would come to trouble you every day, and you won’t last long. Therefore, if you say there’s no one supporting you from behind, it’s downright impossible for you to want to swallow this club. And the person supporting you is Leopard Head, isn’t it!”

”So what if it is?” Ms. Bo said between clenched teeth, ”Lin, you better let me go right now. Otherwise, Leopard Head will never let you off!”

”Ms. Bo, I think your brain really must be muddled,” Lin Mengjie sighed, saying, ”Don’t you know what you’re doing right now?”

Ms. Bo angrily said, ”I’m perfectly clear. I’ll take over this club, and Leopard Head will back me up. From now on, I’ll be the boss, and all the money we make will be ours; nobody else will think of taking money from us again!”

”You’re really naive!” Lin Mengjie said, ”Leopard Head is from the Western Province Sanhe Gang. Why would he come to Shenchuan City to support you?”

Ms. Bo replied proudly, ”Sanhe Gang is such a big force, you tell me why!”

”Yes, Sanhe Gang is a big force, but their influence lies in Western Province. If he wants to support you, doesn’t he need to bring people from Sanhe Gang in Western Province into Shenchuan City?” Lin Mengjie looked at Ms. Bo, saying, ”Leopard Head bringing people from Western Province into Shenchuan City, do you know what that’s called? That’s called planting a flag in Shenchuan City, and this club that you’re swallowing up is their foothold in Shenchuan City. To put it even more clearly, Sanhe Gang wants to expand its influence into Shenchuan City, and you, you are the one helping them extend that influence!”

Ms. Bo could not help but be stunned; she had not thought that far. Upon hearing Lin Mengjie’s analysis, she suddenly felt there was something wrong with the situation.

”Ms. Bo, you’re not young anymore, you’re not the clueless little girl you once were. Moreover, after so many years in the night business, do you really not understand these things?” Lin Mengjie moved to sit beside Ms. Bo, saying, ”You should know that although Shenchuan City is quite chaotic now, with various gangs and forces seemingly at odds, if a foreign gang intends to plant their flag in Shenchuan City, all the gangs and powers in Shenchuan City will immediately resist. And that’s just the internal situation of Shenchuan City; if people from Western Province want to plant a flag in Eastern Province, I guess no power in Eastern Province would agree to it!”

Continuing, Lin Mengjie glanced at Ms. Bo and said, ”Sanhe Gang wishes to enter Shenchuan City, and I’m certain that the gangs and forces in Shenchuan City will definitely not sit idly by. While dealing with Sanhe Gang, they will also seek to find out who it was that brought Sanhe Gang into Shenchuan City. Ms. Bo, if you take over Ye Qing’s club and turn it into a base for Sanhe Gang and that gets out, can you imagine the consequence?”

Upon hearing this, Ms. Bo immediately broke into a cold sweat, her body involuntarily beginning to tremble.

”If you don’t want to talk about it, let me spell it out for you,” Lin Mengjie said, ”If the word gets out, Ms. Bo, never mind establishing a footing in Shenchuan City, no club would hire you again. In fact, even your life would not be spared. The powers in Shenchuan City would assuredly unite to kill you!”

Lin Mengjie looked back at the three top cards behind Ms. Bo, saying, ”Maybe, this matter might even drag down these girls under you, and that would truly be a grave sin!”

The three top cards’ complexions changed drastically, as they involuntarily looked towards Ms. Bo with panic written all over their eyes.

Yunyi, sitting to the side, knew after hearing Lin Mengjie’s words that the game was up. This woman, Lin Mengjie, not only had means but was also far more intelligent than ordinary people, absolutely beyond their ability to contend with. Yunyi decided on the spot to give up resisting.

”There’s actually such a thing?” Yunyi hastily stood up and said, ”Manager Lin, I’m really sorry, I had no idea Ms. Bo was in cahoots with people from Western Province. I just wanted the girls under me to earn a bit more, never expecting to almost step onto a thief’s ship. Manager Lin, thanks to your warning, otherwise I would have made a huge mistake this time. Manager Lin, really, thank you. Rest assured, I absolutely support you. As long as you treat my girls the same way you did before, I will never leave the venue and will definitely continue doing a good job here!”

Yunyi was typically the kind to sway like grass atop the wall, yet her declaration at this moment was indeed very apt. With Yunyi’s expression of support, another client manager also hurriedly stood up, indicating their willingness to support Lin Mengjie.

Ms. Bo clenched her teeth as she sat in the chair, now finding herself being deserted by all. Leaving aside Yunyi and that client manager, even the three top cards under her were looking at her with flickering eyes, evidently afraid of being implicated by the Sanhe Gang issue. Ms. Bo regretted why she had listened to Leopard Head, insisting on taking over this venue. Now, she had really gotten herself into trouble, dragging herself into the mess as well.

”Everyone is out here to make money, there’s no need to make enemies,” Lin Mengjie said with a faint smile. ”Ms. Bo, I know that you actually didn’t think much about the Leopard Head issue. So, I’m not planning to pursue this matter. I just hope that you can lead the girls under you to continue doing a good job in the venue, to develop the venue. As long as you’re willing to work here, we’ll treat you the same as before, we definitely won’t let the girls under you suffer any loss. If you’re unwilling to stay here, I won’t force you. To each their own, right? What you want to do is up to you!”

Ms. Bo bit her lips hard. Lin Mengjie’s words seemed light, but Ms. Bo clearly understood. If she still wanted to switch venues, the matter with Leopard Head could very well be exposed, then she would truly be finished.

In fact, Ms. Bo was already surprised that Lin Mengjie was allowing her to continue working at the venue. Given Lin Mengjie had beaten her up right from the start, she had believed that Lin Mengjie was prepared to get rid of her. Now that Lin Mengjie had given her another chance, she was certainly going to seize it immediately.

”Manager Lin, thank you, thank you so much!” Ms. Bo almost knelt down as she said tremblingly, ”The matter with Leopard Head, I really didn’t know. I was also deceived by him. Manager Lin, thanks to your reminder, or else I would have become a great criminal in Shenchuan City!”

”It’s said that the unaware are not guilty, and besides, Ms. Bo, you were also deceived by someone else, so it’s not your fault,” Lin Mengjie said with a faint smile, picking up the photos on the table. ”Ms. Bo, do you know where these photos actually came from?”

”Yeah, where did these photos come from?” Ms. Bo asked anxiously.

Lin Mengjie nudged her chin towards the window, and Ms. Bo, not understanding the gesture, turned her head to look and asked in confusion, ”What’s up?”

Lin Mengjie said with a faint smile, ”Do you know why I threw him out the window?”

”Why?” Ms. Bo said, then her expression suddenly changed as she exclaimed, ”You... you didn’t get the photos from him, did you?”

”That’s right, these photos indeed came from him!” Lin Mengjie said with a faint smile. ”I had a private detective investigate this matter. When Leopard Head came to Shenchuan City, he first approached Erqiang. Those chance encounters with Leopard Head, and the so-called romance, were all orchestrated by Erqiang. These photos were also taken secretly by him, planning to blackmail you later!”

Ms. Bo was stunned on the spot and after a long while, she ran to the window and yelled furiously, ”Gong Erqiang, you bastard!”

Lin Mengjie smiled faintly, ”Such a man is not worth your anger, Ms. Bo. Rest assured, starting today, you won’t see him in Shenchuan City again. Also, the girls under his wing, you three help to take care of them. After all, they are our own resources, we shouldn’t let others benefit, right?”

”Manager Lin, you can be assured, those girls will come under my care, and I will treat them just like my own girls, I definitely won’t let them suffer the slightest grievance!” Yunyi immediately replied.

”That’s good!” Lin Mengjie said with a faint smile, standing up. ”Now, do the three of you have any other discontent? If there is, feel free to bring it up. I’m here right now, so we can discuss and solve it. If there are no issues, then I have to move to the next venue.”

No one dared to say more, Yunyi and that client manager hurriedly stood up to say goodbye to Lin Mengjie. Ms. Bo was still standing by the window, cursing loudly. She absolutely loathed Erqiang to the core. Seeing how Erqiang had fallen to the ground, she felt an immense sense of relief. Now, she actually no longer hated Lin Mengjie. Instead, she was profoundly grateful to Lin Mengjie, treating her entirely as one of her own people.
