Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing quickly followed a few steps, running several times through the corridor, but still couldn’t find any trace of the man. He asked a few subordinates, and they hadn’t seen anyone either. It seemed that the man’s movements were indeed elusive, and Ye Qing thought that finding him would certainly not be an easy task.

After searching several times to no avail, Ye Qing couldn’t help but feel even more worried. The opening ceremony had gone smoothly so far, but if that man managed to mess it up, that would be a real hassle.

Concerned about the man’s abilities, Ye Qing didn’t dare to hesitate and hurried upstairs to find Tie Yongwen. Ye Qing had already informed Gao Shusen about this man, but since Tie Yongwen had been away with Elder Master Ding, and had only returned today, it seemed he had also forgotten to inquire about this issue. Ye Qing decided he needed to speak to him personally to find out the man’s identity. He was absolutely determined not to let anyone ruin the opening ceremony of the Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena!

Tie Yongwen and the people from the teahouse were sitting in a room, engaging in some light and trivial conversation. This wasn’t Ghost-faced Judge Cui Yu’s first meeting with Tie Yongwen, but he hadn’t said much either; the main person talking was the Lady Boss, Hu Momo. With Tie Yongwen there, whatever they were planning would be difficult to carry out.

Ye Qing entered the room, greeted the people from the teahouse, and then asked Tie Yongwen to step outside to discuss the matter of the mysterious man.

It was evident from Tie Yongwen’s reaction after hearing Ye Qing’s story that he was quite shocked; even his eyebrows furrowed deeply.

”An all-black blade with golden patterns, are you sure?” Tie Yongwen asked solemnly.

”Positive!” Ye Qing nodded, for he had clearly seen the look of that blade that night.

”Could it really be the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade?” Tie Yongwen turned to look back at the room, whispering, ”No wonder he has come as well. Could it be that they are preparing to act together?”

”Uncle Tie, what exactly is happening?” Ye Qingqi asked.

Tie Yongwen was silent for a moment before suddenly grasping Ye Qing’s arm and speaking solemnly, ”You need to rush to the Shen Family’s room right now and ensure that Shen Qianyue does not leave the room under any circumstances!”

”Oh!” Ye Qing nodded and was about to leave, but Tie Yongwen suddenly said, ”If Shen Qianyue has already left, then you stay there to wait. No, you can’t just wait there either, why is this so troublesome?”

Tie Yongwen scratched his head and spoke sternly, ”If Shen Qianyue is not in the room, then just wait nearby. If I’m not mistaken, that guy is definitely up to abduct someone. If he manages to take the person away, follow him and when you reach a secluded place, you must rescue that person at all costs!”

”Ah?” Ye Qing exclaimed in surprise, ”Then why don’t I just stop him directly? Why should I follow him to another place? And besides, that person is very skilled; I... I probably can’t beat him!”

”Nonsense, of course I know you can’t beat him. But remember, you are the only one who can save this person!” Tie Yongwen spoke solemnly: ”Remember, do not fight in the room or at the Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena. Follow him, and when you’re in a secluded place, you can act. Fight him using Li Style Bajiquan, so no one will find out. If you try to stop him in the room and the People of the Shen Family discover your Li Style Bajiquan, then what? Moreover, it’s fine if you can’t beat him, as long as you use Li Style Bajiquan. If he asks, just say you are Li Changqing’s disciple, then there won’t be any problems!”

Ye Qing was even more astonished, but since Tie Yongwen had said so much, there must be a good reason. Without further question, he hurried downstairs.

However, Tie Yongwen frowned deeply, fell silent for a while, and then turned to re-enter the room. This time, however, his expression was much colder.

Meanwhile, Ye Qing ran down to the Shen Family’s room on the ground floor, knocked on the door, and found that Shen Qianyue had already left.

There were only four people in the room – Zhao Chengshuang was downstairs with the fighting dogs. Now, only Lin Huayu, Shen Baichuan, a man in his thirties, and a woman sitting by the window with her back to the door, were present.

From her silhouette, the woman’s figure was flawless, without a single imperfection to critique. Comparatively speaking, apart from Poisonous Mantis’s unparalleled beauty, she possessed a pure and ethereal elegance that seemed untouched by the mundane world. Just by looking at the silhouette, one’s imagination would run wild as to what her face might look like. Regardless of her actual appearance, this one silhouette alone was enough to bring a kingdom to its knees!

Upon seeing the silhouette of this woman, Ye Qing’s breath caught; this was the first time he felt that a woman’s silhouette could be so breathtakingly beautiful. Standing inside the room, he momentarily forgot what he had come for.

”Ye, you’re here!” Lin Huayu excitedly ran over, saying, ”Ye, will you take me out to have fun? I’m suffocating from boredom here!”

”Hmph, Mr. Ye, are you here to cause trouble again?” Shen Baichuan glared at Ye Qing, angrily interjecting, ”What’s the matter? Not satisfied with the earlier fight, want to go again, is that it?”

Ye Qing furrowed his brow, glanced at Shen Baichuan, and demanded sternly, ”Where’s Shen Qianyue?”

”You think you can just call my big brother’s name like that?” Shen Baichuan, infuriated, pointed at Ye Qing and shouted, ”Don’t think just because you’ve learned a little Xingyi Quan, you can strut around like that. Let me tell you, in the Martial Arts Holy Land of the Southern Six Provinces, our Xihang Shen Family is IT. In front of People of the Shen Family, all other martial arts are useless!”

How arrogant Shen Baichuan was. Ye Qing didn’t wish to engage with him further, turning to Lin Huayu instead, he asked, ”Where did Shen Qianyue go?”

Lin Huayu said, ”Qianyue said he had some matters to attend to and left first. Ye, has something happened?”

”Nothing.” Ye Qing waved his hand, but he was somewhat worried inside. Tie Yongwen’s guess was not wrong, Shen Qianyue had indeed left, and most likely went to look for Huangfu Ziyu. He didn’t know what the situation over there was really like.

However, after listening to Tie Yongwen’s words, Ye Qing still didn’t dare to go check on the situation with the Poisonous Mantis. Because he didn’t know when that man might suddenly come here.

After thinking for a moment, Ye Qing called out, ”Hua Yu, you go downstairs first to find your brother Cheng Shuang!”

”Really? Can I go downstairs to play too?” Lin Huayu was immediately excited, this little girl truly couldn’t sit still in the room.

”Cousin, what’s so fun downstairs? It’s just a bunch of ruffians gambling together. Why would you want to go there?” Shen Baichuan waved his hand indignantly, glaring at Ye Qing, he angrily said, ”Mr. Ye, are you trying to kidnap my cousin? I warn you, leave before I lose my temper, or I won’t be polite to you!”

”Cousin, why are you talking like that!” Lin Huayu pouted unhappily, saying, ”Brother Cheng Shuang is still downstairs. Do you think he’s a ruffian too?”

Shen Baichuan was taken aback for a moment, then scratched his head and said, ”Although he’s not a ruffian, look at the kind of rabble he’s befriended. It’s simply degrading. Cousin, you’re a girl, you can’t follow his example!”

”Hmph, if brother Cheng Shuang can do it, then certainly so can I!” Lin Huayu pouted at him and turned her head, saying, ”Ye, take me downstairs!”

”Don’t you dare go!” Shen Baichuan became furious, stepping in front of them and shouted, ”Mr. Ye, get lost now, or I’ll have to get physical!”

Ye Qing furrowed his brows slightly; he didn’t want to make enemies with the people of the Shen Family, but this Shen Baichuan was also being too overbearing.

”Cousin, why are you behaving like this!” Lin Huayu stamped her foot, saying, ”I want to go downstairs, don’t block me!”

”No way!” Shen Baichuan glared at Ye Qing, furiously saying, ”Mr. Ye, if you have the guts, come out and fight me. If you win, I’ll let you take my cousin downstairs!”

Ye Qing felt somewhat irritated inside. Shen Baichuan’s provocation was enough to make even a mud statue lose its temper.

Just then, a clear and bright voice suddenly came through, ”Baichuan, Hua Yu is still a child. It’s normal for her to be curious. Just let her go, will you?”

Ye Qing turned his head to look. The person speaking was that girl with her back to them. Even though the girl hadn’t turned around, the clarity of her voice added greatly to her charm and made people even more hopeful and admiring of her.

Hearing the woman’s words, Shen Baichuan was stunned for a moment. Lin Huayu, on the other hand, was overjoyed and said, ”Did you hear that? Did you hear? Even cousin said so. Why are you still blocking me?”

Shen Baichuan obviously didn’t dare to go against the woman’s wishes and reluctantly moved aside, but still glared at Ye Qing resentfully.

Ye Qing didn’t pay any attention to him. He glanced at the woman, intending to speak to her, but after thinking it over, he gave up in the end. The woman seemed like a Heavenly Immortal, and for some reason, Ye Qing had an indescribable feeling in his heart as if speaking to her would desecrate her purity.

Ye Qing took Lin Huayu downstairs and had her sit with Zhao Chengshuang. Below them, the dogfight was intensely underway; the two dogs in the cage were fighting ferociously, both trained fighting dogs that wouldn’t let go until a clear victor emerged.

”Ye Zi, Ye Zi!” Li Lianshan saw Ye Qing and immediately came over excitedly, ”So far, after five matches, we’ve already made a net profit of twenty million. At this rate, we might take in a billion tonight! It seems that after the Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena was closed for a month, these people were really pent up. Tonight, they’re betting like their lives are on the line.”

Ye Qing smiled lightly; making money was certainly something to be happy about. However, he was more worried about the people upstairs. Shen Qianyue had gone to find Huangfu Ziyu, and he didn’t know what the situation was. Regardless of who between Huangfu Ziyu or Shen Qianyue came out at a loss, it wasn’t good news for Ye Qing. There, Tie Yongwen was keeping the Ghost-faced Judge in check, and the Ghost-faced Judge was holding Tie Yongwen back; those two could be set aside for the moment. The biggest trouble was that extremely powerful man who intended to make a move against the people of the Shen Family; that was what gave Ye Qing the biggest headache.

Ye Qing didn’t dare to linger in the lobby below and, after giving a few instructions to Li Lianshan, hurriedly went upstairs. To his shock, he discovered that the several attendants who had been at the door of the Shen Family’s room were now nowhere to be seen.

Ye Qing’s expression changed. Those attendants were always standing at the door, ready to answer calls from inside. Now that the attendants were gone, something must have happened inside.

Rushing to the door, Ye Qing knocked several times, but there was no response from inside. Not daring to delay, he pushed the door open and immediately smelled a strong scent of blood.
