Urban Martial Saint

”Did she really say that?” Ye Qing looked astounded at Li Lianshan. Fire Butterfly had killed so many people and left behind those words, what was she trying to imply?

Since she had personal grievances with those people, why didn’t she directly go to the Western Province to seek revenge? Why did she choose to do it at the Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena and get Ye Qing involved as well? Could it be that she wanted to lure those people into Shenchuan City? But with Fire Butterfly’s formidable approach, even if those people were in the Western Province, she probably wouldn’t have any reservations, right?

”That’s exactly what she said. Sister Huo is really domineering. Offending five major gangs in one go, damn it, if it were Shangguan Tian and Li Wenyuan, those two guys, I guess even together they wouldn’t dare to offend any one of them,” Li Lianshan said with a face full of admiration, ”Now that’s what you call a heroic woman!”

Zhao Chengshuang suddenly said, ”Old Li, don’t tell me you’ve fallen for Fire Butterfly?”

”Damn, what are you talking about?” Li Lianshan immediately turned around and glared, ”How could I fall for her?”

Zhao Chengshuang said, ”Oh, so you think she’s not good enough for you!”

Li Lianshan hastily said, ”When did I say that?”

Zhao Chengshuang’s eyes gleamed slyly, ”Then you’re saying you don’t fancy her...”

”What I mean is, I...” Li Lianshan, flustered, waved his arms and opened his mouth as if to speak, but couldn’t find the words. At last, he glared fiercely at Zhao Chengshuang and said, ”Let’s talk serious, stop talking nonsense!”

Zhao Chengshuang couldn’t help but burst into laughter, pointing at Li Lianshan, ”You definitely have a crush on her. I’ve seen it since last night, you look at her differently. Especially when you talk about her, your eyes practically gleam green!”

”Get lost, get lost, get lost, it’s your eyes that are gleaming green!” Li Lianshan’s face turned red, and he waved his hands over and over, refusing to speak further with Zhao Chengshuang. Turning to Ye Qing, he said, ”By the way, East State Poisonous Mantis hasn’t left yet. She sent a message for me, saying she wants to meet you when you return.”

At this, Li Lianshan paused for a moment, speaking in a low voice, ”Ye Zi, I sneaked a peek, Poisonous Mantis is really beautiful, almost as much as Shen Qingyi. Tell me honestly, what is really going on between you two?”

Hearing this, Zhao Chengshuang also immediately stared at Ye Qing, eager to know the answer.

”There’s nothing going on between us,” Ye Qing replied truthfully.

”If I believe you, I must be an idiot!” Li Lianshan flipped Ye Qing the middle finger and said, ”No relationship? Someone with no relationship wouldn’t let you go settle that debt, giving you a chance to rise. Someone with no relationship wouldn’t break so many years of habit to enter Shenchuan City to save you. Someone with no relationship wouldn’t rush over just because they received your invitation, and even ask to meet you alone. I heard that this Poisonous Mantis has been in Dongzhou for so long, and barely anyone has even seen her face. Dude, you’ve only known her for so short a time, and she’s already so nice to you, even meeting you alone, no relationship? Bullshit!”

Zhao Chengshuang raised his middle finger in agreement, ”Don’t give us that crap. We’ve both been playboys before, we know these things way better than you!”

Faced with these two ruffians, Ye Qing really had nothing to say, so he simply shut up and said nothing. However, after sitting for a while, he still had to speak, ”Where is Miss Huangfu now? Still in the room from last night?”

”See, this kid is still thinking about her!” Li Lianshan and Zhao Chengshuang immediately burst into laughter. Li Lianshan said, ”The VIP suite on the ninth floor, her room last night was almost trashed, so we moved her to another room. Damn, looks like we have to get Old Liu to help clean it up again today. Especially Old Mr. Tie’s room, even the floor tiles were broken, who the hell has such hard feet?”

”That’s nothing. Fire Butterfly left all those rooms full of blood traces, cleaning them up is going to be quite the hassle. I think your dogfight arena just opened, and now it might have to close down for a few days again!” Zhao Chengshuang commented.

Ye Qing ignored them and went straight to the room on the ninth floor where Huangfu Ziyu was staying.

Since all the key individuals had been on the upper floors last night, the ninth floor remained uninfluenced, the hallway still tranquil. Huangfu Ziyu’s driver White Wolf was standing at the door; seeing Ye Qing approaching, he immediately turned and opened the door, indicating likely that Huangfu Ziyu had already given instructions.

Ye Qing entered the room to find Huangfu Ziyu elegantly sipping a transparent red wine on the sofa. Like flames, her red lips left a provocative imprint on the glass. Every move of this woman was enchanting, akin to a beautiful but deadly serpent, fatally captivating.

Knowing well the capriciousness of the woman before him, Ye Qing dared not look at her too much. He approached and softly said, ”Miss Huangfu, I apologize for not attending to you properly last night due to the multitude of events.”

Huangfu Ziyu put down the glass in her hand, looked up at Ye Qing with a light smile, and said, ”Indeed, a lot happened last night, but it seems you didn’t have much to deal with. You didn’t come back all night; were you too busy outside? Or were you so captivated by Miss Shen that you couldn’t leave her side?”

Ye Qing felt slightly embarrassed. Last night, in a moment of impulse, he had taken Shen Qingyi to the seaside. After returning, he was chased by Shen Baichuan and teased by Huangfu Ziyu, significantly impacting him. However, Ye Qing had no regrets about his actions!

”I heard Miss Huangfu wanted to see me for something?” Ye Qing changed the subject, ”What can I do for you, Miss Huangfu?”

”To call it an order would be too much, but I do have a few minor questions to ask you,” Huangfu Ziyu slowly stretched in a languid movement that showcased her graceful figure to the utmost.

Ye Qing stood by, turning his head aside, daring not to look more.

Seeing how Ye Qing acted, Huangfu Ziyu chuckled and asked, ”Tired of standing?”

Ye Qing said, ”I’m fine.”

Huangfu Ziyu responded, ”Does your foot hurt?”

”It doesn’t hurt.” Ye Qing glanced at Huangfu Ziyu and said, ”Miss Huangfu, are these the small issues you were talking about?”

”Of course not!” Huangfu Ziyu looked at Ye Qing and smiled faintly, ”What I meant was for you to sit down and talk about it slowly, dummy!”

After being called that by Huangfu Ziyu, Ye Qing felt a bit embarrassed. He hesitated for a moment but still sat down on the sofa across, with a large coffee table separating them.

Huangfu Ziyu watched Ye Qing sit down with a light laugh, then sat up and said, ”Was it you who saved Miss Shen last night?”

”Yes,” Ye Qing nodded in response.

Huangfu Ziyu said, ”As far as I know, your capabilities are far inferior to that person’s. How did you manage to save Miss Shen?”

Ye Qing glanced at Huangfu Ziyu and asked, ”Do you know that person?”

Huangfu Ziyu shook her head, ”I can only say I know of him, it’s not like I know him personally.”

”It seems you are quite aware of his and the Shen Family’s situation. Last night, your coming here was likely to deliberately distract Shen Qianyue,” said Ye Qing, furrowing his brows as he looked at Huangfu Ziyu, ”Miss Huangfu, were you trying to help that man kidnap Miss Shen?”

Huangfu Ziyu smiled slightly and said, ”You’re not entirely foolish, to see through all that!”

”Miss Huangfu, do you also have some unresolved feud with the Shen Family?” Ye Qing asked.

Huangfu Ziyu replied, ”Why don’t you ask whether I have a feud with Miss Shen or not?”

Ye Qing said, ”Miss Shen is kind-hearted, naive, and has never even stepped out of the Shen Household. How could she possibly have any feud with anyone?”

Huangfu Ziyu’s expression darkened as she said, ”Oh, by your words, she’s kind-hearted, so I’m as wicked as a snake. She’s naive and pure, so I must be worldly and vile?”

Ye Qing was stunned and said, ”I didn’t say that, I only meant...”

”What do you mean ’only meant’? You clearly mean it!” Huangfu Ziyu said indignantly, ”You say she’s kind-hearted and naive, and then you say I deliberately helped that man kidnap her—that’s equating me with cunning and vile!”

Ye Qing looked at Huangfu Ziyu, momentarily at a loss for words. Why was the way girls think so different from men? He had no such intentions, so why did she think like that?

Watching Ye Qing’s clueless expression, Huangfu Ziyu chuckled inwardly, though she kept a stern face and said, ”You just favor Qingyi, so you defame me, right?”

”Miss Huangfu, you misunderstand!” Ye Qing quickly shook his head and said, ”I only just met Miss Shen, there isn’t any liking or disliking. I just feel that Miss Shen is kind-hearted and wouldn’t bear grudges against anyone. So, I think your main target is the Shen Family, not Miss Shen herself. Don’t make wild guesses!”

Huangfu Ziyu chuckled more to herself and then asked, ”Then, which one of us do you think is more beautiful?”

”Ah?” Ye Qing’s eyes widened in astonishment as he looked at Huangfu Ziyu, ”Is... is that also a question you need to ask?”

”Yes, that’s exactly what I want to ask!” Huangfu Ziyu looked at Ye Qing and said, ”Tell me, who’s more beautiful!”

”This...” Ye Qing immediately felt frustrated; even if he was clueless about women, he knew this question was unanswerable. In terms of looks, Qingyi was more beautiful, but if charm was considered, Huangfu Ziyu was more enticing—there really was no answer to this question.

Watching Ye Qing’s frustrated look, Huangfu Ziyu, who had been keeping a straight face, suddenly laughed softly, waved her hand and said, ”Alright, alright, I’m not joking anymore. Back to the point, yes, I do have a grudge against the Shen Family. I came here to help him kidnap Qingyi. Unexpectedly, you messed up my plan. Now, what do you suppose we do about this?”

Relieved from not having to answer that question, Ye Qing, looking at Huangfu Ziyu, seriously said, ”Miss Huangfu, you’ve helped me, and I’m truly grateful. But the Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena is my place, and since Qingyi came here, she is my guest. I am naturally responsible for any issue that occurs under my watch. It was unintentional that I ruined your plan, and I apologize. Whatever punishment you deem fit, just command, and I will comply!”

”Oh wow, quite the hero, aren’t you? I command?” Huangfu Ziyu sized up Ye Qing and said, ”Then I want your right hand—will you give it to me?”
