Ye Qing slightly furrowed his brows and said, ”Miss Huangfu, is this plan worth your right hand?”

Huangfu Ziyu spoke leisurely, ”Whether it’s worth it is my business. You said it yourself just now—I command, and you follow. Now that I want your right hand, are you going to give it, or not?”

Ye Qing was silent for a while before he suddenly placed his right hand on the table and said, ”Miss Huangfu, if I could make it to this day, it’s all thanks to your help. Mr. Ye is very grateful. Since you’ve said it, then this right hand is yours.”

As he spoke, Ye Qing quietly looked at Huangfu Ziyu, his gaze not shifting in the slightest. He had made up his mind and no longer felt such dread towards Huangfu Ziyu.

”Good, that’s a real man!” Huangfu Ziyu smiled lightly, casually pulled out a short dagger from the edge of the table, and chopped straight towards Ye Qing’s wrist.

Without even blinking, Ye Qing stared at his right hand, showing no intention of withdrawing. The dagger might have been light, but in Huangfu Ziyu’s hands, it was a lethal weapon. If the blade truly struck, Ye Qing’s right hand would likely be lost. Nevertheless, Ye Qing just kept staring fixedly, not dodging at all.

Just as the dagger was about to hit Ye Qing’s wrist, Huangfu Ziyu’s wrist shook slightly, and the blade missed Ye Qing’s wrist, striking the table instead. A loud bang was heard as the glass atop the coffee table shattered, indicating the force of the blow. It was fortunate that Huangfu Ziyu had timely avoided Ye Qing’s wrist, or it would have been severed.

Ye Qing, who had already clenched his teeth, prepared to give up his right hand, was caught off guard by Huangfu Ziyu’s decision to spare him. He was taken aback and raised his head to look at her, wondering, ”Miss Huangfu, what’s this about?”

”Just teasing you!” Huangfu Ziyu smiled faintly and said, ”Young man, your temper is too fiery, too easily provoked; it’s not good. Remember, never make promises lightly to anyone, especially beautiful women and seemingly loyal men. The more alluring the woman, the more viper-like the heart. The more seemingly loyal the man, the more demons are hidden in his heart. Trust none of them!”

Ye Qing looked down as he slowly withdrew his right hand and said, ”Thank you for your advice, Miss Huangfu!”

”I know you don’t believe me, but you’ll understand once you suffer a great loss,” said Huangfu Ziyu, casually tossing the dagger aside. ”Enough of that, let’s not joke around anymore. How did you rescue Shen Qingyi last night? Tell me the whole process!”

Huangfu Ziyu knew about Ye Qing’s Li Style Bajiquan, so there was no reason for Ye Qing to hide anything from her. He recounted the events of the previous night from beginning to end.

After hearing Ye Qing’s story, Huangfu Ziyu fell into deep thought. After a while, she finally looked at Ye Qing and said in a deep voice, ”Did he ever open that wooden box?”

”He never opened it,” Ye Qing replied.

Huangfu Ziyu was somewhat disappointed and said, ”So, you have no idea what was actually inside that wooden box?”

”I know,” said Ye Qing. ”I’ve seen the contents of the box; it was a very strangely shaped long blade.”

”You’ve seen it?” Huangfu Ziyu was greatly astonished and said, ”Didn’t you just say he never opened that box?”

”He did not open it during our fight last night, but I had seen it once before.” Ye Qing recounted the incident where he witnessed a man cutting off a quarter of a vehicle with a long blade, saving a mother and her child.

After listening to Ye Qing, Huangfu Ziyu slightly furrowed her brows, as if pondering something.

”A black blade with golden patterns, could it really be the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade?” Huangfu Ziyu muttered to herself, ”Did that blade indeed end up in his hands in the end?”

”You also know about the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade?” Ye Qing asked in surprise. ”Old Master Tie has said the same. He also thinks that blade is the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade!”

”If even Senior Tie says so, this matter must be correct!” Huangfu Ziyu was clearly overjoyed, nodding repeatedly, ”Good! Very good! Extremely good!”

”What’s so good?” Ye Qing asked.

”Hehehe...” Huangfu Ziyu chuckled lightly and said, ”You’re better off not knowing about this matter.”

Ye Qing did not ask any further. These affairs involved many past grievances, and he could not get involved. Besides, he didn’t want to deal with so many concerns now; staying out of it was certainly for the best.

”By the way, after you rescued Shen Qingyi, why did it take you so long to come back?” asked Huangfu Ziyu.

Ye Qing then repeated the story of taking Shen Qingyi to the seaside last night, a story he had told no one else. Huangfu Ziyu was the first to learn of it.

After listening to Ye Qing’s words, Huangfu Ziyu first looked stunned for a moment, and then she couldn’t help but laugh, saying, ”You actually took Miss Shen out for a night of fun? And you took her to the seaside? And you even took off your clothes to let her wear them?”

”Is there something wrong with that?” Ye Qing said, ”Miss Shen has grown up without barely ever leaving Shen Family Manor. She knows nothing about many things outside, doesn’t recognize many things. I actually think she is very pitiable.”

”Pitiable?” Huangfu Ziyu sneered and said, ”No matter how pitiable, it was created by the People of the Shen Family themselves. They think that by keeping her in the Shen Family Manor and shielding her from the slightest hardships, they can make her happy. Hmph, those people of the Shen Family are all selfish demons, and I haven’t seen them confine themselves to the Shen Family Manor for their entire lives!”

Ye Qing looked at Huangfu Ziyu, who had a very cold expression when she said this. It seemed like she particularly hated the people of the Shen Family.

Perplexed, Ye Qing said, ”Miss Huangfu, if I remember correctly, your master is the Southern Fist King of the Shen Family. Why do you harbor such hatred towards the Shen Family?”

”The Master is Master, the Shen Family is the Shen Family, don’t mix them up!” Huangfu Ziyu coldly replied, then her expression softened into a light smile as she looked at Ye Qing and said, ”However, you, young man, really have some guts, managing to take the Heavenly Immortal-like Miss Shen out for a whole night. I bet none of the people of the Shen Family had a good night’s sleep yesterday!”

Last night, not only did the people of the Shen Family not have a good sleep, but Shen Baichuan started a fight with Ye Qing as soon as he saw him!

Ye Qing said, ”I just wanted to help her fulfill a wish, she’s too pitiable!”

”You did well!” Huangfu Ziyu said with a light smile, ”How about it, what was Shen Qianyue’s reaction when she saw you today?”

”Ah?” Ye Qing was mildly surprised, paused to think, and then said, ”There wasn’t any reaction!”

”No reaction?” Huangfu Ziyu slightly smiled and said, ”That’s right, someone as deeply calculative as Shen Qianyue, how would there be any reaction. Not only would there be no reaction, he probably even wants to thank you!”

Ye Qing looked at Huangfu Ziyu and said, ”Miss Huangfu, it seems you have quite a prejudice against Mr. Shen. Is there some sort of misunderstanding here?”

”Huh huh huh…” Huangfu Ziyu sneered and said, ”Ye Qing, have you forgotten what I just told you? The more a man seems honest and good, the darker his heart is. Shen Qianyue, do you truly believe he is a gentleman of modesty and integrity?”

Ye Qing did not speak; he had not known Shen Qianyue for long and could not judge him. However, from what he had seen so far, Shen Qianyue was undoubtedly a paragon of a gentleman.

”It seems you don’t believe what I’m saying!” Seeing the disbelief on Ye Qing’s face, Huangfu Ziyu said, ”How about this, let’s make a bet, what do you think?”

”I’m sorry, but I’m not interested!” Ye Qing shook his head and said, ”Whether he is a gentleman of modesty and integrity or a despicable scoundrel, it has nothing to do with me!”

”Is that so?” Huangfu Ziyu said with a cold smile, ”That’s just your own perspective. I guarantee that one day, you two will stand on opposite sides. I won’t bet with you anymore; I can directly tell you that it won’t be long before Shen Qianyue will take a major action. Under the name of the Shen Family, he will warn the several gangs in the Western Province not to take even half a step into Shenchuan City, not to come looking for trouble with you!”

Ye Qing was taken aback. If Shen Qianyue really took such action, he would be doing Ye Qing a great favor. He knew that last night, Fire Butterfly had killed key figures of five gangs in the Western Province, a matter of great concern. If Shen Qianyue helped resolve this issue, he would no longer have to worry about it.

”Miss Huangfu, that joke is not funny!” Ye Qing said.

”It never was a joke...” Huangfu Ziyu looked at Ye Qing and said, ”In less than three days, he will certainly do it. But, Ye Qing, don’t think he is helping you by doing this. He’s doing it only to limit one person!”

”Limit who?” Ye Qing was curious.

”Ha ha ha...” Huangfu Ziyu looked at Ye Qing and said, ”With your intelligence, could you not guess?”

Ye Qing slightly frowned and said, ”Are you talking about Chen Si?”

”Correct!” Huangfu Ziyu responded with a light smile, ”Chen Si killed those five people precisely to lure those five gangs into Shenchuan City. In doing so, she would have just cause to enter Shenchuan City and slaughter the people from those five gangs. Shen Qianyue will definitely not sit by and watch this happen; therefore, he will surely force those five gangs not to step into Shenchuan City. Ye Qing, Shen Qianyue is a plotter, everything he does is calculated for its advantages and disadvantages. You saved Shen Qingyi, he won’t help you; but if Shen Qingyi wore your clothes, he will certainly hate you for it!”

Thinking of Shen Qianyue’s gentle and cultivated demeanor, Ye Qing still couldn’t associate him with the despicable person Huangfu Ziyu described. He didn’t know who was right or wrong. Huangfu Ziyu was whimsical and her actions were strange, making it impossible to gauge her by common sense. Usually, her words would not be credible. But she had helped Ye Qing significantly, for which he was grateful and didn’t want to doubt her words. But could Shen Qianyue really be a phony gentleman?

”I know you still doubt what I’m saying. I just want to tell you to be more cautious the next time you see this person,” Huangfu Ziyu waved her hand and said, ”Let’s not talk about him anymore. Ye Qing, that man last night, how strong was he, really? You fought with him, so tell me, how long would it take for him to defeat you?”
