Urban Martial Saint

Listening to her son’s voice and seeing the bloodied, wretched state he was in, Luo Caiyun felt as if her heart was bleeding. She glared at Ye Qing through gritted teeth and growled angrily, ”Ye, release my son right now, or I swear I’ll kill you!”

Ye Qing looked coldly at Luo Caiyun and said, ”Even now, you’re still so domineering? Luo Caiyun, don’t you have even a hint of remorse?”

”Quit your nonsense and release my son!” Luo Caiyun screamed at the top of her lungs, like a shrew.

Ye Qing slowly shook his head: ”Impossible!”

”Impossible? I’ll make your impossible possible!” Luo Caiyun roared furiously, took a step back, and shouted, ”Attack!”

The six or seven men beside Luo Caiyun immediately moved towards Ye Qing, surrounding him in the middle.

Ye Qing frowned slightly and said coldly, ”Luo Caiyun, do you really think these men can stop me?”

Luo Caiyun was unwilling to talk more and simply waved her hand and roared, ”Kill him!”

The men immediately charged at Ye Qing with loud shouts, and he, unwilling to show weakness, clenched his fists and charged into battle with them.

As Ye Qing fought with these men, two other men at the back quickly grabbed Fang Tian and turned to flee.

”Think you can escape!” Ye Qing bellowed, no longer bothering with the men he was fighting, and turned to pursue the two.

The two men had already dragged Young Master Fang to a car, and Ye Qing rushed over, arriving at the car just in time. He kicked one of the men away and reached out to grab Young Master Fang inside the car, but a man sitting in the driver’s seat suddenly turned around, pointing the black muzzle of a gun directly at Ye Qing.

Ye Qing’s expression changed, and he instinctively tilted his head. A gunshot rang out, and a steel ball whizzed past, grazing his cheek and leaving a trail of blood.

At the same time, the man lying on the ground also pulled out a short-barreled shotgun and aimed it straight at Ye Qing.

Ye Qing finally understood why Luo Caiyun had the audacity to come after him with these men. He dared not hesitate, and as the man drew the shotgun, he immediately leaped, somersaulting over the car roof.

The driver and the other man fired their guns at the same time, but neither hit Ye Qing. The other men also drew homemade shotguns from their persons and fired a barrage at Ye Qing.

Having come through gunfire on the borderlines, Ye Qing’s years of life-and-death training had honed his sharp instincts. The parked cars around him helped him dodge the bullets. However, he was running ragged, for there was simply no comparison between fists and guns.

”Kill him! Kill him for me! Whoever kills him gets ten million!” Luo Caiyun was screaming madly, urging her men to take down Ye Qing.

With such a hefty reward, the men turned frenzied, chasing after Ye Qing with their guns.

Ye Qing hid behind a car, listening to the footsteps of the approaching men, slowly reaching for a sharp piece of glass on the ground.

The footsteps grew nearer, and Ye Qing quietly bent down, peering under the car to see several pairs of legs chaotically approaching; the nearest was already less than three meters from the car. If he waited for them to reach him, he would be trapped behind the car with no chance to evade.

Ye Qing gripped the shard of glass tightly, gauging the position of the men, and softly took off his jacket. As they reached the side of the car, Ye Qing suddenly threw his jacket towards the rear, while he himself, half a second later, sprang out from the front.

The men, knowing Ye Qing’s strength, didn’t dare to be careless and were on high alert as they approached the car. When they saw a jacket flying out, they thought Ye Qing had jumped out, and quickly turned their guns to fire. Several shots rang out, and Ye Qing’s jacket fell to the ground, riddled like old rags.

At that moment, Ye Qing also emerged from the other side. Clutching the broken glass, he tackled the nearest man to the ground, driving the shard straight into the man’s throat and slicing across. The man didn’t even grunt before he slowly collapsed to the ground, clutching his neck.

After bringing down that man, Ye Qing immediately charged at the second, repeating his technique, and slashed through the man’s neck.

The remaining few were thrown into a panic, their homemade shotguns were single-shot. Ye Qing had attracted all their bullets with his clothes just now, and now they didn’t have time to reload.

Having floored the second man, Ye Qing ran straight toward the third. Seeing there wasn’t enough time to reload, the man simply threw away his shotgun and drew a dagger from his waist, roaring as he lunged at Ye Qing.

Ye Qing was incredibly fast, and seeing the man’s fierce momentum, he casually threw the broken glass in his hand. The man didn’t expect Ye Qing to throw his weapon, got struck in the face by the glass shards, and cried out in pain as he instinctively reached for his face. But by that time, Ye Qing had already charged to his front, twisted the man’s hand, snatched the dagger, and slashed his shoulders, robbing the man of any ability to continue fighting.

The rest of the four men were so terrified by Ye Qing’s fierce moves that they wet themselves, one of them simply threw his gun away and turned to run. But Ye Qing was closest to him and pounced, stabbing the man in the left shoulder and dragging him back. Just as he was about to pin him down, Ye Qing heard the sound of gun bolts behind him and knowing something was amiss, he hurriedly threw the man behind him.

Three gunshots rang out, and all three bullets hit the man. The bullets from the homemade gun would shatter once they entered the body, blowing a fist-sized bloody hole in the man’s back, a sight most gruesome.

Ye Qing also had a narrow escape; had he not reacted quickly enough, he might have been the one dead now. But fortunately, the three men’s freshly loaded bullets were now gone, Ye Qing charged again and brought all three to the ground with the dagger, finally getting out of the situation where he was surrounded with guns.

Having dealt with these seven men, Ye Qing let out a long breath. Turning his head, he saw Luo Caiyun completely stunned; she never expected that her seven guns, bought from the mountains to kill Ye Qing, would be neutralized by him, totally beyond her expectation.

Seeing Ye Qing looking over, Luo Caiyun shivered in fright, immediately turned, got into the car, and started driving away frantically.

Ye Qing would not let her escape; he rushed over, started his own car, and chased after her. Luo Caiyun, driven mad in front, paid no heed to other vehicles on the road, hitting seven or eight cars as she fled for her life.

Ye Qing was furious; Luo Caiyun’s spoiling of her son was one thing, but her blatant disregard for others’ lives was too much. Seeing many around being hit and rolling on the ground in agony because of Luo Caiyun, Ye Qing’s eyes turned colder. This time, he decided not to let Luo Caiyun go either.

To avoid Ye Qing, Luo Caiyun floored the gas pedal, not even considering braking even when she saw people ahead. She drove past two street corners, and suddenly, a woman pushing a stroller appeared at the next intersection. Unaware of the danger, she chuckled and played with the baby in the stroller, leisurely crossing the road.

Ye Qing’s face changed drastically upon seeing this, he hurriedly honked the horn and stuck his head out of the window to shout, ”Watch out!”

The woman finally heard something was off, turned her head, and saw Luo Caiyun’s car less than one hundred meters away. The woman froze, screaming loudly as she forgot to dodge.

Ye Qing’s car was behind, and it was impossible for him to intercept and save her. Just as Luo Caiyun’s car was about to hit the woman and the stroller, a low shout suddenly came from the side.

Ye Qing turned to look, only to see a man standing by the street wearing a black robe with an extremely stern face. He held a narrow wooden box around two meters long; it was very strange and it was unclear what was inside.

As Luo Caiyun’s car sped towards them, the man had some distance from the woman and couldn’t possibly reach her in time. But suddenly, the man slapped the box he held and instantly, it sprung open, ejecting an object. Ye Qing saw it clearly; it was a two-meter-long broadsword. The hilt alone was half a meter long and appeared very peculiar.

The man tossed the box to the side, caught the broadsword by its hilt, and drew it in one fluid motion. With a clanging sound, a black broadsword with gold patterns was unsheathed, its blade rubbing against the scabbard and emitting a dragon-like cry that echoed through the streets.

The man with the broadsword leaped into the middle of the road just as Luo Caiyun’s car approached. Ye Qing held his breath as the car seemed about to crash into the man.

Yet the man’s face remained calm as water, as if he hadn’t seen the fast-approaching vehicle. Just when the car was five meters away, the man brought the broadsword down, slicing towards the car’s hood.

The car barreled forwards, and with that strike, the man split the hood in two and sheared off the entire passenger seat. Fang Tian, who sat in the passenger seat, faced the full brunt of the blow and was split in half from head to toe. Blood and viscera scattered all over, a disgusting sight to behold.

As the passenger seat was cut off, the car lost its balance and veered off, speeding past the man before crashing into a parked vehicle by the road, mangled on impact. Luo Caiyun, who had slammed headfirst into the steering wheel, bleeding profusely, slumped and passed out.

Ye Qing following behind was dumbstruck; for the first time, he had witnessed such an astonishing event. The man had used a single broadsword to cleave off the entire passenger seat; how was that possible? Was it the sharpness of the broadsword, or was the strength of the man’s arm extraordinary?
