Urban Martial Saint

The Sect Leader of Southern Xingyi Fist, Tie Yongwen, and the tea house owner, Ghost-faced Judge, were both long-revered figures in Shenchuan City. These two individuals were the most powerful in Shenchuan City, and no one dared to provoke them.

And now, if these two were to confront each other, what would be the outcome?

When two tigers fight, one is sure to get hurt!

The Lady Boss was a rather prudent person; she didn’t hope for the tea house to overpower Tie Yongwen but simply wished that the status quo wouldn’t change. If Tie Yongwen and the Ghost-faced Judge faced off, regardless of who won or lost, the result would not be what the Lady Boss wanted to see. Therefore, she was under no circumstances willing to witness the Ghost-faced Judge and Tie Yongwen fight!

She had broken her own rules last time by informing Tie Yongwen of Li Tianlu’s whereabouts, all to quell the upheaval. Unexpectedly, just as she managed to smooth things over, White Impermanence had caused her such a huge problem; he had actually dared to attack Ye Qing.

Fortunately, Ye Qing didn’t suffer any losses, otherwise, if Tie Yongwen were to come to the tea house again, that would have been difficult to resolve. White Impermanence was the Ghost-faced Judge’s disciple, and she couldn’t possibly hand him over. If it came down to it, it would be Tie Yongwen and the Ghost-faced Judge personally settling the matter.

However, inside White Impermanence’s heart, there was considerable dissatisfaction. In his eyes, his master, the Ghost-faced Judge, was the true invincible force in Shenchuan City. Although Tie Yongwen had a big reputation, he couldn’t compare to his master. Moreover, having suffered a significant loss at Ye Qing’s hands this time, he really hoped his master would avenge him. But with the Lady Boss speaking like this, it was clear she wanted to suppress the matter, which was entirely different from what he had in mind.

”You shouldn’t go out these days, stay in the tea house and heal properly. As for Ye Qing’s affairs, I’ll resolve them for you. This business deal, I’ll contact Yang Shitao myself in a couple of days and return the money to him!” The Lady Boss gave White Impermanence a look and said, ”Right now, Ye Qing’s life is no longer something that can be bought with thirty million. Not to mention Tie Yongwen, even the East State Poisonous Mantis and the Xikou Fire Butterfly are supporting him. The Poisonous Mantis is one thing, but you should understand the status of the Xikou Fire Butterfly better than I do. Until we figure out the Fire Butterfly’s attitude towards him, this man must not be touched!”

White Impermanence didn’t speak but slowly nodded his head, yet his thoughts were on how to incite his master to deal with Ye Qing. As for Tie Yongwen and the Poisonous Mantis Fire Butterfly and the like, he didn’t care for them at all, because he didn’t believe the Ghost-faced Judge would lose to these people!

Elsewhere, the banquet for Ye Qing and his company had ended with Li Lianshan’s injury. In a hurry, Ye Qing sent Li Lianshan to the hospital; luckily, Li Lianshan’s injuries were not serious and he could return home after being bandaged. Of course, this time he was followed by many brothers, fearing a repeat of such an incident.

Chen Jun and others were surprised by this incident on their first day in Shenchuan City, and they silently remarked on how much more dangerous Shenchuan City was compared to Jiuchuan County.

That evening, Ye Qing arranged for everyone to stay in a hotel, and he also stayed there. Since Chen Jun and the others were mostly injured and not ready to fight, Ye Qing was worried that someone might attack them in the middle of the night, which would be real trouble.

Lin Mengjie also stayed there, and Ye Qing arranged a luxurious single room for her. Having escorted Lin Mengjie to her room, she hinted at him to come in and sit, but recalling what had happened in the car that morning, he dared not enter and instead made a hasty retreat.

Watching Ye Qing flee in such panic, Lin Mengjie felt a hint of disappointment. She sighed softly, closed her door, and couldn’t hide a trace of sorrow in her heart.

She had come to Shenchuan City entirely because of Ye Qing. She not only hadn’t been angry at Ye Qing’s actions that morning but had actually been quite pleased, for she had realized that she had unknowingly fallen for this man. But the way Ye Qing had just fled raised doubts about her own charm!

Could it be that he did not like her?

Ye Qing stood at the hotel entrance; Black Bear had finished dealing with the matters at Tian Sheng and ran over to meet with Ye Qing. During the days Ye Qing was away from Shenchuan City, Black Bear had been managing things, and he was most familiar with the situation of these venues. After reporting on the venues’ situation to Ye Qing, Ye Qing listened but didn’t say much, just instructed him to bring all the accounts of these venues over the next morning.

After discussing the venues, Ye Qing asked, ”Have the Tianqing Gang and Fu Bang made any movements recently?”

Black Bear said, ”There hasn’t been any activity; both gangs have been quiet recently. Before, they had sent people to watch our venues, but these days, they haven’t sent anyone at all, almost as if they’ve accepted that these venues belong to us.”

When Ye Qing left Shenchuan City, he wasn’t worried that these venues wouldn’t make money; his biggest concern was that Tianqing Gang and Fu Bang might do something while he was away. These people didn’t dare do anything openly, but if they schemed against him behind his back, Ye Qing couldn’t cope with that in his current situation. Yet, what he didn’t expect was that not only were the two gangs silent; they even called their men back, what did this mean?

Black Bear said, ”Could it be that they have given up hope and simply stopped struggling?”

”I don’t think so.” Ye Qing shook his head. At the Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena that day, he had seen Yue Gaoyang and Shangguan Qing; neither were easygoing. Especially Shangguan Qing, who was a warmonger. Unless the Tianqing Gang collapsed, he would never give up.

And now that they had suddenly stopped, there could only be one reason: they must be brewing a bigger move!

Considering the ambush on Li Lianshan tonight, Ye Qing suddenly felt that it was more likely the work of the Fierce Tiger Gang. After all, the Fu Bang and the Tianqing Gang had become silent and unobtrusive, certainly planning something, and they would definitely not choose this time to make a move against Li Lianshan. Thus, the only possibility left was that someone from the Fierce Tiger Gang was behind it!

Although the Fierce Tiger Gang was currently disunited, the faction led by Pi Junchao had already begun to subtly control most of the people. The Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena was the gang’s most profitable venue, and Pi Junchao certainly didn’t want to let go of it easily. However, given his current situation, he wouldn’t dare to compete with Ye Qing for control. Hence, it was highly likely that he would send someone to attack Li Lianshan or, at the very least, cause enough trouble to shut down the Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena.

Having understood the rationale, Ye Qing suddenly stood up and said, ”Let’s go, pay a visit to Pi Junchao!”

”At this time?” Black Bear couldn’t help but be stunned and asked, ”Should I call a few people to go with us?”

”No need,” Ye Qing shook his head and said, ”Just the two of us going is most suitable. Calling more people would be inconvenient!”

Black Bear didn’t understand what Ye Qing meant, but still accompanied him to Pi Junchao’s venue.

With the backing of several senior figures, Pi Junchao’s power was expanding rapidly. It was estimated that in no more than three months, Pi Junchao could completely take over the Fierce Tiger Gang and become the new Gang Leader.

However, those scattered forces were not fools either. Knowing they couldn’t fight against Pi Junchao, and that a dismal fate awaited them if swallowed up by him, they began seeking protection from other factions. Many had already sworn allegiance to the Tianqing Gang and the Fu Bang; even with Pi Junchao’s great strength, he couldn’t hope to take these people back from them.

Busy with these matters every day, Pi Junchao was discussing this very issue in a private room with several senior figures that evening when a henchman suddenly rushed in and whispered a few words in his ear. Pi Junchao immediately leaped to his feet, exclaiming in shock, ”Why has he come?”

”Who?” the senior figures asked simultaneously.

Pi Junchao waved his hand to signal the underling to leave before he looked at his uncles and said in a low voice, ”Ye Qing and that man called Black Bear have come!”

At these words, the color drained from the faces of everyone in the room. Although Ye Qing’s power in Shenchuan City was not significant, the Poisonous Mantis Gang, the Fire Butterfly Gang, and even Tie Yongwen had all backed Ye Qing. With such powerful support, no one among Shenchuan City’s underground forces dared to blatantly provoke Ye Qing!

Now that Ye Qing had come to them, it was a nightmare for Pi Junchao and his associates. Last time Ye Qing and Zhao Chengshuang came over, they seized twelve of their venues, including the Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena. And now, Ye Qing had brought Black Bear with him, what could he possibly want?

”Could it be... he knows that we sent men to attack Li Lianshan?” Pi Junchao said softly. Indeed, the people who had attacked Li Lianshan that evening were sent by him. His aim was to injure Li Lianshan to delay the opening of the Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena.

”Impossible, right?” an elder frowned and said, ”The man I brought in from out of town is unknown here, and as soon as the job was done, I immediately arranged for a car with out-of-town plates to whisk him away. He’s already left Shenchuan City, and no one knows his identity; how could Ye possibly know?”

”Then why has he come at this time?” Pi Junchao, truly worried and without any peace of mind about the deed, paced in agitation.

”Anyway, we have to meet him; otherwise, it would only show guilt,” one elder voiced firmly. ”Call him in, and we’ll see what he wants to do!”

The others nodded vigorously, saying, ”Right, right, bring him in first, and let’s see what he’s actually up to!”

Pi Junchao really didn’t want to meet Ye Qing, but with his elders having spoken, he had no choice but to have his henchman invite Ye Qing in.

Pi Junchao opened a private room especially for Ye Qing. As soon as Ye Qing entered, Pi Junchao immediately went up to him with a smile and greeted him warmly, as if they had a good relationship.

From the moment he walked in, Ye Qing had been observing Pi Junchao’s expression. Although Pi Junchao seemed very cordial, Ye Qing could tell that there was some evasion in his eyes, a clear sign of feeling guilty.

Ye Qing couldn’t help but smile inwardly. What he had not been sure of before was now completely confirmed.
