Urban Martial Saint

White Impermanence stood still, Ye Qing also hit him several times, but he seemed entirely unaffected.

”Hmph, trying to compete with me in punches and kicks, you’re digging your own grave!” White Impermanence sneered continuously as he had already gauged Ye Qing’s strength, and thus held him in even lower regard.

”Come again!” Ye Qing shouted loudly, tightening his fist and charging forward again.

White Impermanence smirked arrogantly and clashed with Ye Qing once more. The situation between them was similar to before; after a few minutes of fighting, each had taken a few punches. However, it was clear that Ye Qing’s punches lacked power. Ye Qing’s own mouth was bleeding, while White Impermanence was unharmed. Instead, he became more ferocious as he fought, relentlessly pursuing Ye Qing with punches and kicks.

Ye Qing retreated several steps and finally was backed into a corner with nowhere else to go. White Impermanence, on the other hand, was smug, sneering, ”They say Ye Qing’s strength is extraordinary, but from what I see, it’s nothing special. Today, I will use your life to reclaim my renown as White Impermanence!”

Ye Qing struggled to defend himself, but his situation was getting worse. White Impermanence, excited by the fight, suddenly stepped back, gathered strength, and threw a powerful punch directly at Ye Qing’s chest. With this punch, he planned to knock Ye Qing down.

Ye Qing also seized the opportunity, throwing a punch with all his might back at White Impermanence’s chest. If White Impermanence didn’t retreat, he would definitely have to take this punch from Ye Qing. Naturally, Ye Qing would also have to take White Impermanence’s punch, unless one of them was willing to step back.

A trace of a cold smile crossed White Impermanence’s lips; he did not take Ye Qing’s fists seriously. Even if he were hit, it would only hurt a bit, nothing serious. However, he was confident that his punch would disable Ye Qing’s ability to resist, a decisive blow to determine the outcome!

Just as White Impermanence’s fist was about to reach Ye Qing, Ye Qing’s punching speed suddenly increased. Before White Impermanence could react, the punch hit him first, landing squarely on his chest.

White Impermanence only felt a tremendous force strike him, hurling him backward, his own punch failing to hit Ye Qing’s chest. He flew three to four meters back, landing in a pile of debris before finally stopping. Struggling to rise, a sweet taste filled his throat, and he spat out a few mouthfuls of blood, feeling dizzy and nearly collapsing.

Alarmed, White Impermanence realized he had sustained a severe internal injury. He could barely believe the immense power behind Ye Qing’s punch!

”You… you’re so despicable…” White Impermanence pressed his chest, his teeth clenched in anger. He realized that Ye Qing had been feigning weakness with his previous punches, and this last punch was Ye Qing’s true strength. Fooled into taking it head-on, White Impermanence had been dealt a heavy blow. Had he known Ye Qing’s true strength from the beginning, he would never have directly confronted him!

Ye Qing coldly replied, ”To people like you, there’s no such thing as being despicable or not. Weren’t your earlier surprise attacks on me despicable?”

White Impermanence, left speechless, bit his lip and staggered to his feet, leaning against the wall and glaring furiously at Ye Qing.

”Ye, it seems I still underestimated you,” White Impermanence said coldly.

”Underestimating others comes at a high price!” Ye Qing approached White Impermanence slowly, staring at his hands, and spoke coldly, ”I have just one question!”

”What question?” White Impermanence asked gravely.

Ye Qing said, ”The person who attacked Li Lianshan, who sent him?”

White Impermanence was momentarily stunned and asked, ”That’s your question?”

”Exactly, that’s my question!” Ye Qing stared at White Impermanence and said, ”You should know the answer, right?”

White Impermanence coldly replied, ”Of course, I know the answer, but why should I tell you?”

Ye Qing: ”Because if you don’t tell me, you will die here.”

”Trying to kill me?” White Impermanence laughed coldly, ”Ye, I don’t mean to disrespect you. In Shenchuan City, there are people who can kill me, but definitely not you. Even though you’ve wounded me deceitfully, that doesn’t mean nobody can do anything about you. If I can’t leave here, within three days, you’ll definitely be lying dead in the street!”

”Then let’s see about that!” Ye Qing clenched his fist, his eyes coldly fixed on White Impermanence, filled with a frosty gleam.

Seeing Ye Qing’s posture, White Impermanence felt a pang of fear and said gravely, ”Ye, I am the lead disciple personally trained by the Ghost-faced Judge. If you harm even a hair on my head, my master will never let you off. My skills are but a tenth of my master’s. If he personally steps in, I dare say, you won’t be able to withstand a single move!”

”Three million has been placed on me at your tea house. If you can’t kill me, other Assassins will come after me. Even if other Assassins can’t kill me, one day, the Ghost-faced Judge himself will come. It makes no difference to me whether he arrives a day earlier or later!” Ye Qing looked coldly at White Impermanence, ”Instead of that, I might as well get some interest beforehand!”

Speaking, Ye Qing walked straight over, grabbed White Impermanence by the neck, and coldly said, ”I’ll ask you one more time, who sent that person?”

”I... I won’t tell...” White Impermanence, weak all over, struggled and said, ”You think I don’t know? Even if I told you, you wouldn’t let me go either!”

”If that’s the case, then I need to see just how tough you really are!” Ye Qing increased his grip, clenching his fist, ready to punch White Impermanence.

At that moment, White Impermanence made his move. He reached into his pocket, pulled out something, and stabbed directly at Ye Qing’s arm.

Ye Qing hastily let go, grabbed his arm. But to his surprise, it felt light; White Impermanence’s arm had come right off in his hand.

At the same time, White Impermanence rapidly stepped back, flung a Life-Ending Spike, and desperately stabbed at Ye Qing.

Ye Qing hurriedly dodged to avoid it, and when he looked up again, White Impermanence had disappeared without a trace. It was only at this moment that Ye Qing realized the arm he had torn off was actually a fake. White Impermanence had used this prosthetic to distract him and seize the chance to escape. How cunning indeed!

Ye Qing frowned deeply and threw the fake arm aside. After searching the area thoroughly, there was no sign of White Impermanence. Ye Qing had no choice but to return to the hotel the way he had come.

Meanwhile, after listening to Ye Qing’s footsteps fade away and waiting a full hour, a manhole cover in an alley finally opened. Covered in mud, White Impermanence crawled out of the sewer, vomited a few mouthfuls of blood, and staggered away, leaning on the wall.

The strength of Ye Qing’s punch was immense; White Impermanence had taken a direct hit, breaking several ribs, leaving him barely enough strength to escape. Just now, his use of the Life-Ending Spike was merely a smokescreen to draw Ye Qing’s attention while he hid in the sewer, escaping Ye Qing’s pursuit.

White Impermanence’s cunning was indeed unexpected by Ye Qing, who never thought he would dare hide there. Otherwise, had Ye Qing found him again, his fate would undoubtedly have been death!

Leaning on the wall, White Impermanence reached the street, flagged down a taxi, and weakly asked the driver to take him to the teahouse.

The teahouse was still lit. White Impermanence staggered into the teahouse. The Lady Boss, sitting in the hall, was startled by his appearance, hurried over to support him, and said, ”What happened to you?”

Collapsing into the sofa, White Impermanence gasped for air and said, ”I was... I was beaten by Ye Qing...”

”Ye Qing?” The Lady Boss’s expression changed, and she said, ”Why him again? Did... did you go to him?”

”Yes... yes...” White Impermanence nodded and said, ”I heard about it from the young lady, so I came back to check. I didn’t expect... he is really formidable. Even I was no match for him. It seems we’ll have to let the Sect Leader deal with him!”

”Why did you act on your own without telling me?” the Lady Boss frowned and complained, ”I was already planning to call off the hit on Ye Qing. Why would you still go and trouble him? Now look, you’ve got yourself hurt, and our teahouse’s reputation is also ruined!”

”Why call it off?” White Impermanence said, ”Our teahouse has never been unable to take down anyone. Although this Ye is formidable, he definitely is no match for our Sect Leader. Once the Sect Leader is back, killing him will be as easy as flipping a hand!”

”It’s not about whether we can kill him or not, but whether we should kill him!” the Lady Boss gloomily said, ”Why didn’t you come to me first when you got back? You should have asked about the situation before taking action. Now look what you’ve gotten us into!”

”What trouble?” White Impermanence looked at the Lady Boss in surprise and said, ”Why shouldn’t we kill him?”

”Do you know what you’re talking about?” the Lady Boss said, ”He... he is under the personal protection of Tie Yongwen!”

”Tie Yongwen?” White Impermanence was stunned for a moment, then his expression changed, and he urgently said, ”Are you... are you talking about that old bodyguard from the Ding Family?”

”Who else could it be?” the Lady Boss said, ”Last time Li Tianlu ambushed Ye Qing, Tie Yongwen personally came to the teahouse, demanding the whereabouts of Li Tianlu. Our teahouse has been in Shenchuan City for many years, coexisting peacefully with Tie Yongwen and the Ding Family without any intersections. This time, Tie Yongwen did not hesitate to antagonize our teahouse, coming personally to ask for information, indicating he is determined to protect this man. If Tie Yongwen personally protects him, then this man must not be killed, and we should not proceed with this business!”

White Impermanence’s face showed shock, and after a long pause, he suddenly gritted his teeth and said, ”So what if it’s Tie Yongwen? Is our Sect Leader supposed to be scared of him?”

”It’s not about being scared,” the Lady Boss said, ”The key point is, Tie Yongwen has long been famous, being the Sect Leader of Southern Xingyi Fist. With such a figure, our teahouse need not clash with him. Besides, Tie Yongwen’s strength is unfathomable. If your Sect Leader were to confront him, no one knows how the fight would turn out. If it really had to come to blows, it would likely end with both sides getting hurt. Why bother?”
