I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 148: Chapter 147: 3 Major Directors Arriving Together?

Li You brought out a few pairs of chopsticks and invited Lin Guodong, Lin Zhonghai, and the others to have a taste.

After a moment’s hesitation, they all took the chopsticks.

”Well, don’t mind if we do,” they all said.

Li You smiled. ”That’s the spirit.”

Then, they each picked up a piece of meat and put it in their mouths.

It was tender, luscious, and fragrant—far more delicious than they had imagined.

They all showered it with praise, saying they had never eaten such delicious steamed pork with preserved vegetables before.

Li You said, ”Since you all like it, why don’t you each take a bowl home?”

Hearing this, they all shook their heads repeatedly. ”Xiaoyou, we really couldn’t. Just having a piece to taste is enough for us.”

Seeing how insistent they were, Li You didn’t press the issue.

Lin Guodong, Lin Zhonghai, and the others were very relieved that Li You didn’t insist.

In the end, they each had a bowl of beef noodles.

This was also the reason they had come together to deliver the lobsters.

They had come for the beef noodles as well.

It had been a while since they last ate it, and they were dying to have it again.

Of course, they paid in the end.

At full price, too. They wouldn’t let Li You give them a discount.

However, Li You still made sure to add some extra beef for them.

After they finished eating and took their leave, it was already approaching 11:00 AM.

More customers began to trickle into the restaurant.

A new rush began for Li You.

The new customers who entered the shop also quickly caught the aroma of the steamed pork with preserved vegetables.

So, they all asked Li You if he was selling the dish.

Li You had to explain again and again that it wasn’t officially for sale yet. He had only steamed a few bowls today to test the flavor.

After hearing this, the customers all urged Li You to start selling it officially as soon as possible. The aroma alone made them desperate to try it.

They could tell from the scent alone that they had most likely never had such delicious steamed pork with preserved vegetables before.

Li You always replied with a smile that he would definitely launch it officially soon and wouldn’t make everyone wait too long.

The customers were all delighted to hear this, repeatedly saying how much they were looking forward to it.

After a nearly six-hour drive, the three great directors—Wei Yang, Jing Wenbo, and Liang Shui—finally arrived at the Jiulong Gorge Restaurant’s parking lot.

The previous afternoon, Wei Yang had wanted to save the last of his liquor to savor alone back home. But in the end, after some cajoling from Jing Wenbo and Liang Shui, he’d finished the entire flask, down to the last drop.

Wei Yang was helpless.

’Oh well,’ he thought. ’At least I can go drink at the Jiulong Gorge Restaurant again tomorrow afternoon.’

’If it’s gone, it’s gone.’

Then, early this morning, just as the sky was beginning to lighten and before Wei Yang had even gotten out of bed, he received calls from both Jing Wenbo and Liang Shui, urging him to get up and set off for the Jiulong Gorge Restaurant.

Wei Yang was helpless once more.

’These two guys keep saying they can’t believe it, but their actions show they’re incredibly eager to go.’

’Oh well. Time to get up and go.’

And so, after the three of them gathered, they set off immediately.

They had also hired a driver for the trip.

Normally, the three of them would drive themselves.

But this time, they were going to the Jiulong Gorge Restaurant to drink.

All three of them wanted to drink.

So, they had no choice but to hire a driver.

The driver’s name was Zhang Tian, one of Jing Wenbo’s long-time assistants.

He was quite young, not yet thirty.

After learning the purpose of the three great directors’ trip and some details about the Jiulong Gorge Restaurant, Zhang Tian was in disbelief.

’Is that restaurant really so magical?’

’It’s managed to make three famous directors set off at the crack of dawn, not even caring about a six-hour drive.’

’Unbelievable!’

Zhang Tian decided that once they arrived, he absolutely had to get a good look at the place. ’Just what kind of restaurant is it?’

Now, they had finally arrived.

’This place really is out of the way.’

Zhang Tian scanned his surroundings.

Jing Wenbo and Liang Shui were also looking around.

Jing Wenbo said, ”Old Wei, this place is even more remote than I imagined. But the scenery is fantastic. We could consider filming here in the future.”

Wei Yang nodded. ”You’ll be even more convinced after you see the gorge. It’s more beautiful there, and very unique.”

”Is that so? Then let’s go take a look later,” Jing Wenbo said.

Wei Yang nodded. ”No problem.”

Jing Wenbo’s gaze fell on the restaurant up ahead, and he continued, ”But before that, let’s drink our fill. That flask of yours yesterday only held a single jin. It was nowhere near enough.”

Liang Shui added, ”I agree, I was left wanting more. Here, we should be able to drink as much as we want, right?”

Wei Yang rolled his eyes.

It was true, though; yesterday hadn’t been nearly enough.

Then he said, ”Of course. As long as you’re not getting it to go, the owner will sell you as much as you want.”

”Then let’s hurry over,” Jing Wenbo and Liang Shui said in unison.

A faint excitement was already building within them.

Wei Yang nodded. ”Let’s go.”

In truth, he was even more excited than Jing Wenbo and Liang Shui.

Because he knew that besides the superb wine, this place also had some of the most delicious dishes in the entire country.

Jing Wenbo and Liang Shui, however, still had their doubts about that part.

Soon, the four of them, including Zhang Tian, walked up to the restaurant’s entrance.

The restaurant was packed with customers.

’Business really is good,’ both Jing Wenbo and Liang Shui thought to themselves.

Just then, Da Bai came out to greet them.

Wei Yang was delighted to see Da Bai. Before the robot could speak, he said, ”Da Bai, hello! It’s great to see you again. Do you remember me?”

Da Bai looked at Wei Yang and said, ”Mr. Wei, hello. It is also my pleasure to see you again. Welcome back!”

Seeing that Da Bai remembered him, Wei Yang burst out laughing, his mood soaring.

Jing Wenbo, Liang Shui, and Zhang Tian, on the other hand, were completely stunned.

’It’s one thing for a robot to be able to recognize people, but it can also converse like this?’

’This is way too intelligent!’

’It’s even more advanced than Wei Yang described.’

After he finished laughing, Wei Yang said, ”Da Bai, I brought three friends with me today. Come, come, let me introduce you.”

With that, he introduced Jing Wenbo, Liang Shui, and Zhang Tian one by one.

The three of them found this a bit strange.

’Who introduces themselves to a robot?’

’I’ve really seen it all now.’

’It’s pretty interesting, though.’

Da Bai greeted the three men in turn.

The three men each responded.

It really was very interesting.

Naturally, the situation outside caught the attention of the customers eating inside.

Some of them could see what was happening outside through the windows.

Soon, someone recognized Wei Yang.

”It’s Director Wei Yang! Director Wei Yang is back to eat again!” the person shouted, pleasantly surprised.

At these words, all the customers in the restaurant grew excited.

They all knew about Director Wei Yang eating here the day before yesterday.

The news had already spread throughout the town.

Even those who hadn’t been at the restaurant that afternoon knew about it.

They hadn’t expected Director Wei Yang to come back to eat after just one day.

Why was that?

There was only one answer.

The food and wine here were just too good. So good that even a great director who had tasted every delicacy imaginable couldn’t forget the flavors here and had rushed back impatiently after only a day.

What did this prove?

It proved that the owner, Li You, was incredible!

Absolutely incredible!

The customers were once again excited and proud of Li You’s amazing skills.

’See that? That’s someone from our Wenxian Town!’

’Opening a restaurant in such a remote place, yet he easily makes famous directors come running back time and again, regardless of the long journey.’

They were proud!

And took great pride in it!

Bursting with pride, the customers stood up one after another and walked out of the restaurant.

They were going to welcome the great director.

As they stepped outside, someone quickly recognized Jing Wenbo and Liang Shui.

They froze.

’What’s going on? How come Directors Jing Wenbo and Liang Shui are here too?’

’They’re great directors just as famous as Wei Yang!’

’Three great directors came together?’

’Holy shit!’

’This is insane! The owner’s restaurant is insane!’

The customers who recognized Jing Wenbo and Liang Shui became agitated with excitement.

Their excitement quickly clued in all the other customers to the identities of Jing Wenbo and Liang Shui.

They hadn’t recognized them at first.

But now, looking closely, who else could it be but the two great directors, Jing Wenbo and Liang Shui?

It really was three great directors, all arriving together.

’The owner isn’t just awesome, he’s on a whole other level!’
