I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 124: Chapter 124: The Boss Is So Good to This High School Girl

After he and Ye Shengge finished the wine in their bowls, Li You poured her another serving.

He didn’t have any more himself. Instead, he went into the kitchen to make another batch of spicy crayfish.

The female teachers, like Chu Yiwei and Lin Xin, would be arriving soon.

The male teachers, Zhang Qinghe and Cai Peng, and the business owners, Zhao Yu and Deng Luping, would probably come too.

If he didn’t make more, there definitely wouldn’t be enough to go around.

Just as another pot of spicy crayfish was ready, Chu Yiwei, Lin Xin, and the other female teachers arrived.

They grew instantly excited when they saw Ye Shengge, Xia Xiaoyue, Yu Wei, and the other young women already eating crayfish.

’Since everyone’s already started, we won’t stand on ceremony.’

”Boss, we’re going to dig in!”

Of course, they had to let the owner know before they started.

Li You said, ”Help yourselves, teachers.”

”Thanks, Boss.”

After thanking him, Chu Yiwei, Lin Xin, and the other female teachers all eagerly dug in.

The first bite brought the same unprecedented surprise and excitement that Ye Shengge, Xia Xiaoyue, and the others had experienced.

It was so much more delicious than they had imagined.

Spicy crayfish like this was an absolute delicacy.

’What a treat!’

A short while later, the male teachers, Zhang Qinghe and Cai Peng, arrived with the business owners, Zhao Yu and Deng Luping.

They had been very hesitant to come.

They knew the owner would insist on treating them to free crayfish if they showed up.

That made them feel quite awkward. They had considered waiting until tomorrow to pay for an order.

But in the end, they couldn’t resist coming.

Besides introducing the spicy crayfish today, the owner was also launching his Huoxiang Crucian Carp.

’In that case, we’ll just order a few extra servings of the Huoxiang Crucian Carp and eat less of the crayfish.’

”Boss, we’re here to freeload on your spicy crayfish too,” Zhao Yu said with a loud laugh.

Li You smiled. ”Come in, come in! If you find any issues or have any suggestions, I hope all you business owners and teachers will let me know.”

”Of course, of course. We will, we will.”

The business owners and teachers all agreed.

Then they too picked up the crayfish and began to eat.

The first bite, once again, brought immense surprise and excitement.

’This is incredible!’

’It’s absolutely divine!’

’Find a problem with a flavor like this? Or come up with a suggestion? The owner is seriously overestimating us.’

’Or maybe, this spicy crayfish is already perfect. It’s practically impossible to find any fault with it or suggest any improvements.’

’The owner was just being humble, and we actually took him seriously.’

’That’s just ridiculous!’

’Forget about problems and suggestions.’

”Boss, wine! Get us some wine! Start us off with a double serving each,” Zhao Yu said.

How could they not drink when faced with such an exquisite crayfish dish?

It was just a shame that the teachers, like Zhang Qinghe and Cai Peng, had classes in the afternoon and couldn’t drink.

But there was nothing to be done. Only the business owners could drink.

To make sure they could drink, they hadn’t ridden their own motorcycles, instead catching a ride on the teachers’.

Zhang Qinghe, Cai Peng, and the other teachers desperately wanted to drink too.

’Such an exquisite crayfish dish, paired with that heavenly wine... how amazing would that be?’

’It would be an experience fit for the gods.’

But they couldn’t break a fundamental rule. They had to force themselves to abstain.

’We’ll have to indulge properly this weekend.’

”Oh, right, Boss. We’ll take twenty orders of the Huoxiang Crucian Carp,” Zhao Yu added.

Li You nodded with a smile. ”Alright.”

Then he headed into the kitchen.

This was the first time he’d ever sold the Huoxiang Crucian Carp.

Selling twenty orders right off the bat was a fantastic start.

He got to work.

As for the wine, Da Bai would take care of it.

When Ye Shengge, Xia Xiaoyue, Mu Qingye, and the other young women heard Zhao Yu order the Huoxiang Crucian Carp, they wondered if they should order some too.

’In the end, we’ll pass.’

’We’ll just focus on the crayfish for lunch today.’

’It’s not too late to try the Huoxiang Crucian Carp for dinner.’

’We’ll just head back to school a little later today, after we have dinner here.’

And Ye Shengge would definitely be staying for dinner.

’Eat, eat, eat. More crayfish!’

’This is so satisfying!’

Just then, Da Bai brought the wine over to Zhao Yu, Deng Luping, and the other business owners.

”Thanks, Da Bai!”

The business owners all expressed their thanks. They were also very fond of Da Bai.

And Xiaohai, of course.

”Come on, cheers,” said Zhao Yu.

The business owners clinked their bowls. One gulp of wine brought a feeling of unprecedented satisfaction.

’This is the life!’

Before long, twenty orders of Huoxiang Crucian Carp came out of the kitchen one after another.

Da Bai began serving the food.

As the dishes were brought out from the kitchen, Ye Shengge, Xia Xiaoyue, Mu Qingye, Chu Yiwei, and all the other young women and female teachers saw them.

’It looks so delicious and appetizing.’

Of course, they still preferred the crayfish.

So, even though the Huoxiang Crucian Carp looked incredibly appetizing, it couldn’t tempt them away.

They just kept on eating crayfish.

Back in the kitchen, Li You started on a third pot of spicy crayfish.

’I should make some more.’

Aside from letting everyone eat their fill, he also planned to pack two portions for Lin Xiao to take with her to school.

’Elder Lin gave me all these crayfish, so I have to be extra thoughtful in return, right?’

「In the restaurant.」

After tasting a piece of the Huoxiang Crucian Carp, Zhao Yu, Deng Luping, and the other business owners, along with Zhang Qinghe, Cai Peng, and the other male teachers, were once again surprised and excited.

It was the first time they had ever eaten crucian carp this delicious.

It wasn’t just the fish; even the sauce was incredibly tasty.

They could probably eat three big bowls of plain rice with this sauce alone.

’The owner’s fish dishes are definitely something to look forward to!’

Gradually, the business owners finished their double servings of wine.

”Da Bai, another double serving for each of us,” Zhao Yu said to Da Bai.

”Right away, please wait a moment!”

Da Bai started pouring the wine once more.

Meanwhile, on the women’s side, the crayfish shells in front of every teacher and student had piled into small mountains.

Everyone was stuffed.

And they had eaten to their hearts’ content!

This was the most satisfying crayfish feast they had ever had in their lives.

’It’s just a shame we’ve imposed on the owner so much.’

Everyone thanked Li You profusely once again.

Li You told everyone not to worry about it.

Then, he said to Chu Yiwei, ”Teacher Chu, could I ask you a favor? When you head back to school later, could you give Lin Xiao a ride? And then drop her off at the station. She needs to catch the two o’clock bus to the county seat.”

Chu Yiwei nodded repeatedly. ”No problem, no problem at all. Don’t worry, Boss, I’ll make sure to get Xiao to the station.”

Li You smiled. ”Then I’ll be troubling you, Teacher Chu.”

Chu Yiwei shook her head. ”It’s no trouble at all. I’m happy to help.”

At this, Lin Xiao said, ”Thank you, Teacher Chu. And thank you, Boss.”

Chu Yiwei smiled. ”You’re welcome, Xiao.”

Li You, meanwhile, went back to the kitchen and brought out two to-go containers of crayfish he had packed. ”I packed two portions of crayfish for you,” he said. ”Take them with you to school to eat.”

Lin Xiao was absolutely delighted. ”Thank you, Boss!” she exclaimed, overjoyed. ”Boss, you’re the best!”

Ye Shengge, Xia Xiaoyue, Mu Qingye, Yu Wei, Chu Yiwei, Lin Xin, and the others all had peculiar looks on their faces.

’The owner sure is nice to this high school girl!’
