I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 118: Chapter 118: Another 1 Liang of Fine Wine Each

Just as the teachers were staring in confusion, Xiaohai had already walked up to them. He bowed slightly and said, ”Welcome!”

The teachers remained dumbfounded. ’He’s welcoming us?’ they thought.

Then, they all instinctively replied, ”Thank you!”

”I’m the robot waiter here, Xiaohai. It’s a pleasure to serve you!” Xiaohai said again.

A robot waiter?

’Oh, right. The boss said yesterday that he’d found two helpers who would be starting today.’

’Could it be...’

’So that’s what he meant.’

The teachers all understood. So the helpers the boss mentioned weren’t employees, but robots.

Robot waiters weren’t all that uncommon.

Some restaurants in big cities already had them.

But this robot in front of them, Xiaohai, seemed a bit more intelligent than the others.

’Where did the boss buy it? It must have been expensive, right?’

’Wait, the boss said two helpers. Could there be another robot?’

Just as the teachers were thinking this, Da Bai walked out and said, ”Hello! I’m the robotic server, Da Bai. I’m happy to serve you.”

’So there really is another one.’

’Da Bai? Xiaohai?’

’What kind of names are these? The boss is terrible at naming things.’

’But they are simple and straightforward, I guess.’

”Da Bai, Xiaohai, hello. It’s nice to meet you,” Chu Yiwei said.

She wanted to see how the two robots would react.

”We are also very happy to meet you,” Da Bai and Xiaohai said in unison.

’They really are quite intelligent.’

’These two robots of the boss’s are something special.’

The teachers were amazed. They then walked into the restaurant.

After they sat down, Da Bai came over to take their orders.

His service was attentive and very polite.

This once again left the teachers amazed. At the same time, they had already grown fond of the black and white duo.

Li You, in the kitchen, heard the commotion outside and knew that Chu Yiwei, Lin Xin, Zhang Qinghe, and the other teachers had arrived.

’From greeting to taking orders, Da Bai and Xiaohai have it all covered. I don’t even have to leave the kitchen.’

’This is so easy.’

’And now the teachers finally know the assistants I mentioned aren’t employees, but robots, right?’

’They must be quite surprised, and also amazed by how intelligent Da Bai and Xiaohai are, right?’

Thinking of this, Li You felt an inexplicable sense of delight.

”Huh, young man. Are you selling alcohol here now?”

It was Lin Guodong’s voice.

Their attention had been completely captured by Da Bai and Xiaohai earlier. Only now did they notice the large wine jar in the main hall.

”Yes. Uncle Guodong, I started selling it yesterday,” Li You replied from the kitchen.

Then, Zhang Qinghe added with a smile, ”The boss’s wine is absolutely divine, unbelievably good. If you didn’t drive or ride a bike here, I strongly recommend you try at least one portion. I guarantee you’ve never had wine this good before.”

They had class this afternoon, so Zhang Qinghe couldn’t drink at lunch today.

However, he desperately wanted to recommend it to the others.

He wanted to see more people be blown away by the amazing wine here.

Hearing Zhang Qinghe’s words, Lin Guodong and the others were instantly tempted.

Even though Lin Guodong had ridden his motorcycle, it wasn’t a problem. He could leave it here and get a ride back on Lin Zhonghai’s electric tricycle.

Then he could just come back and get his motorcycle some other time.

’Right, I should ask about the price first.’

”Boss, how much is the wine?”

”Twenty yuan per portion.”

After hearing the price, Lin Guodong and the others were a bit stunned.

For them, this price was a little steep.

Of course, they didn’t think Li You was overcharging them. Rather, they knew his wine must be worth the price.

Twenty yuan for a portion of wine. And after what Zhang Qinghe had just said...

To be honest, Lin Guodong and the others were really dying to try it.

”Old Jiang, should we get a little to try?”

After a brief discussion, they decided to get two portions to split among themselves for a taste.

’I wonder if we can ask Da Bai to get the wine?’

Lin Guodong gave it a try, ”Um... Da Bai, could you please get us two portions of wine?”

”Of course. Please wait a moment!”

Da Bai answered immediately, then walked to the wine jar and began to ladle out the wine.

’It really works.’

Lin Guodong and the others were amazed once again.

Chu Yiwei, Lin Xin, and the other teachers were just as amazed.

And while Zhang Qinghe, Cai Peng, and the other male teachers were amazed, they were also eagerly anticipating the looks of disbelief on the faces of Lin Guodong and his group when they tasted the wine.

Lin Xiao, meanwhile, wasn’t paying any attention to the wine. She was completely engrossed in the dishes on the table.

’Every single dish is so delicious!’

’If I could eat food this good every day, I feel like I could even get into an Ivy League school without much trouble.’

’The boss isn’t even that old! He’s probably only six or seven years older than me. How is he so incredible?’

Lin Xiao pondered this question as she ate.

Just then, Da Bai came over carrying a bowl of wine.

”Two portions of wine. Please enjoy it slowly.”

The incredibly rich aroma of the wine excited Lin Guodong and the others.

Based on the aroma alone, this wine was definitely worth more than twenty yuan a portion.

The boss was selling it cheap.

Before the wine even touched their lips, Lin Guodong and his friends had already reached this conclusion.

”Da Bai, could you please bring us five more wine bowls?” Lin Guodong said.

”Of course, please wait a moment!”

Da Bai quickly brought over five more wine bowls.

”Thank you!”

Unconsciously, Lin Guodong had started treating Da Bai like a real human waiter.

Afterward, Lin Guodong divided the two portions of wine evenly into six shares.

There were six people drinking.

Lin Zhonghai didn’t drink. He had to ride the tricycle back and had passengers to carry.

But in truth, after smelling the wine’s fragrance, he desperately wanted to drink. He just forced himself to resist.

After receiving their bowls, Lin Guodong and the other five men couldn’t wait to take a small sip.

Soon, their faces were all filled with expressions of extreme enjoyment, satisfaction, and utter disbelief.

’This wine is even better than I imagined.’

’How is this wine?’

’This is practically the legendary Jade Dew from the Celestial Palace!’

’This young man is incredible, truly incredible. To think that even the wine he sells is of such supreme quality.’

The fact they could drink such exquisite wine for only twenty yuan a portion made Lin Guodong and the others ecstatic.

’Drink, drink!’

’After we finish this, everyone’s getting another portion.’

’This isn’t the time to be frugal.’

Of course, though they said it wasn’t a time to be frugal, Lin Guodong and his friends were still quite restrained.

Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been just another portion each. It would have been at least three or four.

Zhang Qinghe, Cai Peng, and the other male teachers had been waiting for Lin Guodong’s group to take their first sip.

Now, the reaction of Lin Guodong’s group after their first sip was just as they had anticipated: faces full of surprise, excitement, and disbelief. This brought them great pleasure.

Of course, it also made their mouths water.

They really wanted to drink, too.

But with class in the afternoon, they absolutely couldn’t.

It was a matter of principle. They could only force themselves to endure.

Fortunately, the dishes they ordered began to arrive soon after.

Eat, eat.

With delicious food in their mouths, they stopped thinking about the exquisite wine.

At this moment, Zhao Yu, Deng Luping, and the other shop owners from the market arrived.

Xiaohai was at the entrance to greet them.

Upon first seeing Xiaohai, the shop owners were also dumbfounded for a moment.

Then they finally realized that the two assistants the boss mentioned yesterday were actually two robots.

They had been in the restaurant yesterday when Li You mentioned he’d found two assistants.

After experiencing the service provided by Da Bai and Xiaohai, the shop owners couldn’t help but be amazed.

They all thought to themselves, ’As expected of Boss Li. Even his robots are so extraordinary.’
